I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide me review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.
Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.
However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x
King Corso and Rosie grew up together in the Royal Palace. He was a prince, she an archeologist’s daughter. Rosie and her family left the country and Corso eventually became King. Rosie was invited back to accompany him on a royal international tour. She couldn’t really refuse and animosity turns to desire but will a few stolen nights be enough?
An enjoyable romance from Sharon Kendrick who can always be relied upon for entertaining stories. The plot keeps the reader engaged and the characters are likeable.
Although there were some aspects of this book I found bizarre - why doesn’t the heroine have any friends (why does she invite only her family and her ‘colleagues from the railway to her wedding??) - I generally enjoyed this one, and it certainly lived up to expectations in terms of heat level!
Rosie first met Corso when he was a grieving young prince and she was his playmate, now they are all grown up and Corso needs Rosie's help in promoting his country on a royal tour but he finds that he simply can't resist her and nor her him.
This was a fun read, I liked how they sparred with each other and I liked the journey Rosie went on in allowing herself to fall for Corso
I read this ARC for an honest review

A great afternoon's read by a stalwart of the genre
Thoroughly enjoyed
Corso and Rosie bonded as children, but he was a prince, and she was the daughter of the King's archaeologist. Their first meeting, as adults, at his birthday party is awkward, and the differences between their lives are apparent, but years later, he needs a favour, and only she can help him.
Best described as a passionate fairytale romance with glamorous settings and sensual romance. The characters are traditional rather than contemporary, which fits with the fairytale storyline. Rosie is innocent but independent. Corso denies his emotions. To find true happiness, they have to learn to trust.
I like the glamourous setting and the fairytale romance.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
Old fashioned but cute story of archaeologist’s daughter Rosie and king Cosmo. After knowing each other as children, hating each other as they met again later and then working together, Rosie and Cosmo find it hard to see if their strong emotions are love or hate. Cosmo is arrogant and surly and it is quite hard to find him attractive, Rosie needs to find a bit more backbone!
