I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide me review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.
Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.
However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x
A medical, second chance at love romance. Count Javier Torres and Caitlin Mackenzie were rivals at medical school 12 years ago. They had a fantastic one night stand then went their separate ways. They are now both cardiothoracic surgeons who meet again in a Barcelona hospital when Caitlin is due to operate on Javier’s sister.
They meet again on the lonely night shift and the chemistry is still there. Now there are three hearts on the line!
An enjoyable read and for once the heroine is not a nurse! Draws a nice balance between romance and medical issues whilst also drawing Javier’s family into the storyline without them appearing an afterthought.
javier and Caitlin were rivals in school but now he is relying on her to save his sister. I liked the dynamic between the two medical rivals but also liked how they came together when it was important. I felt that this was a sweet story that kept me interested throughout
A beautiful love story based around rekindling a lost love. Set in a heated Barcelona hospital the plot is fast paced. The authors medical knowledge is evident in the medical jargon is weaved into the text with ease.
A enjoyable read, perfect escapism!
Cardiothoracic surgeons Caitlin McKenzie and Count Javier Torres meet again at Santa Aelina University Hospital. Twelve years ago, their competitive days at med school culminated in an impulsive and unforgettable night. Now, as Caitlin prepares to perform a life-changing surgery, the fire between the former rivals is reignited on the night shift—and suddenly it’s not just the patient’s heart that’s on the line…
I have never read one of this author's books before, but I found myself drawn in by the well-written characters, one an aristocrat, the other a girl from the Glaswegian backwaters, and the plot which moved smoothly from scene to scene and was compelling because of that. A celebratory night of passion after their graduation was never forgotten by either of them and made their meeting after a long period of time when they both built highly successful careers awkward at first, but they still felt an intense attraction that was well written and believable. I highly recommend this book as it is very readable and relatable.
I was granted an early free copy of this book for giving an honest review.

Cute medical romance
Lots of twists and turns with a great back story
Super cute medical romance with a couple that you love. Javier is a Spanish count who is a top notch surgeon, possibly only bettered by Caitlin. They trained together, and then went separate ways for 12 years. Both Javier and Caitlin are experts with real skill as well as humans with emotions and baggage. Caitlin is strong and resilient but we watch her struggle with her feeling for Javier. Javier’s family are a welcome addition to the book,
