Having read several other books by this author I had very high expectations for this book…and I wasn’t disappointed at all!
Lindsey definitely has ‘the gift of the gab’ when it comes to writing super enjoyable chick lit novels.
I loved the premise of this storyline and became very invested in Gwen’s (our main character) Groundhog Day journey and the things she had to do to get through it.
Nicely written as always.
I definitely recommend this book.
My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this book in return for an honest review.

Another one from one of my favourite writers, I loved this book just liked I loved all Lindsey’s other books! Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for access to this book

This was a fun and interesting story. It is certainly the first ground hog day type Christmas story I have ever read. It was so funny reading how she changed something each Christmas day until she finally woke up on boxing day. I really like the characters as they were easy to connect with. I loved how the family had many different characters make for great drama. This book had a medium pace to it and was well written. I just loved the uniqueness of the storyline. So I definitely recommend reading this book, especially if you enjoy light on the spice funny romance novels.
So much praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating this fun and very interesting story that certainly kept my attention throughout. I actually have discovered I have 3 more books by this author on my bookcase, and now I can't wait to read them.

I really enjoyed this book, it was a warm hug in a mug. It was the perfect cosy, comfy Christmas read.

A fun Christmas read. Gwen is stuck on Christmas Day - groundhog day style. Can she work out what she needs to do to make the changes and be able to move on to the next day.

This was a great book by Lindsey Kelk, Ground Hog Day at Christmas. As the song goes 'I Wish It Could be Christmas Everyday'... but not if it's the same Christmas over and over again. I've read most of Lindsey's books and really enjoyed this one. It was good to see Gwen working through everything in her life to work out where her priorities actually laid. An enjoyable Christmas read.

Lindsey Kelk is one of my favourite authors. I’m always excited when there’s a new book out and I’m pleased to report that The Christmas Wish didn’t disappoint. I laughed a lot and felt for Gwen when she got stuck in her Christmas Ground Hog Day. I mean almost everyone love’s Christmas but if you were stuck reliving the same day over and over wouldn’t you get sick of it too? As with all of Lindsey’s books there’s fab characters and then there’s some great characters. I couldn’t put the book down and I certainly didn’t want it to end. It has “make me into a Christmas movie” written all over it and I love it. It’s exactly what a Christmas rom com is all about, a bit of romance, some classic one liners and a lot of Christmas.

This was an absolutely fantastic book. I couldn’t put it down but simultaneously didn’t want it to end. I loved every minute of it.
Gwen and her cousin Manny are heading home for Christmas. Something Gwen would normally be over the moon about but not this year. Things haven’t exactly gone to plan - she has been dumped by her boyfriend and hasn’t been made a partner at the prestigious law firm where she works. What else could possibly go wrong?
Christmas Day is every bit as much of a nightmare as she expected - she ends up fighting with her sister, her brother-in-law upsets Manny and then her sister drops a clanger. Gwen goes to bed that night completely deflated. However when she wakes up the next morning - it’s Christmas morning all over again! How can this be and what does it mean? Cue for some emotional and lots of hilarious parts to this story. We meet Gwen’s parents and her Nan, Cerys, Oliver and their delightful children,, Dev, Dorothy and a few other characters. Can Gwen work out just why she is reliving the nightmare day over and over and by changing things will she be able to reach ‘tomorrow’?
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced read copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I love all of Lindsey Kelks books so I was really looking forward to this and it did not disappoint.
Based around Christmas ground hog day and how Gwen figures out what really is important in her life and there may also be a little romance along the way.
A gorgeous, feel good festive read with guaranteed laughs along the way.

lovely light hearted Christmas read - Groundhog Day set at Christmas … Gwen relives Xmas Day over and over again …
A really enjoyable read.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. I really enjoy festive romances, and I loved this book. The concept was interesting and well-excuted, with a very likeable and well-rounded cast of characters.

What a great book and a different spin on the usual Christams stories - groundhog day!
I really enjoyed this book, its the first Lindsey Kelk I've read and I will be searching out more after this. The references in the book were all very current and it just felt fresh - even though it had all the usual family frictions and girl meeting boy aspects, it was done in a really new way.
I gave it five stars as my last book of '22 and what a great book to end the year on.

I really enjoyed this read. Gwen Baker has been living her life as she thinks she should based on the expectations of everyone in her family. When she and her cousin Manny head to family Christmas, she is stuck reliving the day over and over again until she realises what she needs to do. In the process, Gwen discovers that the lives people portray are not always reflective of what is actually going on and everyone is keeping a secret in their own way. What does she have to do to stop reliving Christmas Day over and over again?
Loved this story and the characters were brilliant.

I'm always so excited when I hear that Lindsey Kelk is releasing a new book. She has been one of my must read authors ever since I picked up a copy of I heart New York when it was first published. The Christmas Wish is an excellent book, highly recommended to anyone looking for a lighthearted, fun, uplifting book. The fact it is set at Christmas is an added bonus but I don't think I would mind reading this book at any point in the year. The Christmas element is more to do with the fact that there is a Christmas Day groundhog element to the book rather than Christmas being the focal point.

A lovely magical story!
Gwen is going home to spend Christmas with her family, it’s been a rough year for her as her relationship of 4 years with Michael has come to an end. Gwen finds herself on leave at work for her behaviour and doesn’t really know what she wants in life.
Find out how Gwen goes home with her cousin Mannie and Christmas Day turns into Christmas week!
Every day brings a new discovery in her life.
A beautifully written book and love and friendship and discovering how you can change your world with one silver sixpence.
Thank you NetGalley for an early copy of this great read.

Thanks to Harper Collins for providing me with a free e-ARC of this book via NetGalley and Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
This book follows Gwen, whose life is falling apart. Her boyfriend left her, she's on the verge of losing her job, and she can't seem to make her family happy, no matter how hard she tries. This gets even worse when she goes home for the holidays and ends up in a time loop, reliving the same Christmas day over and over again.
Lindsey Kelk's writing is great, and I think that's what kept me reading. Time loop books don't generally work well for me, but I was willing to give this one a fair shot since I know I enjoy the author's work. It still didn't hit the spot for me - as always with these types of books, I felt like there were too many unanswered questions left at the end.
I loved Gwen's character, and I also enjoyed seeing her relationship with her family and friends change every day as she relived Christmas. Her narrative voice was unique and witty, although there were a few too many pop-culture references for my liking.
I was definitely expecting more of a romance story, and while there is romance, the book is certainly more focused on Gwen's character development.
Overall, this wasn't my favourite book of all time, but it was a fun festive read!

The Christmas Wish is such a fun read. Think Groundhog Day at Christmas as newly single lawyer Gwen goes home to her family for Christmas and finds herself repeating Christmas Day over and over. As Gwen tries to find her way out by helping her family’s wishes come true, she finds herself reflecting on what she herself wants from life.
With plenty of laughs from Gwen and her loveable and hugely entertaining family - her cousin Manny and her hilarious grandmother deserve a special mention - and a sprinkling of romance, this was the perfect feel-good read in the run up to Christmas and I loved it!

I really enjoyed this Christmassy time loop book. The time loops were all done really intriguingly, but I will admit sometimes I got a little confused by where or when I was reading.
I also loved the relationship between Gwen and her sister, particularly as it started to soften. Sister relationships are one of my favourite things to read.
Manny is a new favourite character of mine, and I would love a book of him and his new beau.

I love love loved it!
Christmas groundhog day with high jinx, hilarity & a HOT hot tub scene ... what more could you want?
It's stolen the top spot for favorite Kelk novel, that bar was high but she really does keep getting better & better!

A lovely Christmassy read that was a bit predictable in places but still really enjoyable. I loved the characters and storyline and it made me feel really festive.
