I LOVED THIS BOOK!!
As ever Lindsay Kelk is reliably on another scale. This is possibly my favourite ever Christmas book, definitely one to read again.
The central character has to experience the same Christmas Day over and over again until she gets it absolutely right. It’s heartwarming, hilarious and somehow works perfectly as a concept (despite me not usually loving a Groundhog Day style storyline).
I loved it so much I immediately bought a hard copy for my mum as I know she would enjoy it (and she did).
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a great book!
I loved the family dynamic and that the romance didn’t overshadow the rest of the plot.
This story really emphasises the importance of different aspects of life, all wrapped up in the perfect christmas setting!
I completely lost myself in this book & I can tell I’ll be rereading it over and over again.

Gwen Baker is dreading going home for Christmas. Her boyfriend has recently left her for his receptionist. She's on leave from work, awaiting the outcome of an incident which could see her fired from the big corporate law firm her father is so proud she works for. Her sister Cerys and her family are a bit of a nightmare. And Dev, the next door neighbour and Gwen's teenage crush, is home but of course he has a fiancée. Christmas Day goes from bad to worse, with Gwen falling asleep on the camp bed in the sitting room, only to wake up in her childhood bed and discover it is the 25th December again. And again. And again. Caught in a time loop, Gwen needs to figure out the way to break this cycle
Lindsey Kelk books are something I always look forward to. This one is steeped in the usual humour, romance and entertainment found in Kelk's stories. A Christmassy version of Groundhog Day! I've read other books with time loops that sometimes get a bit repetitive but this didn't feel like that to me. When each day is repeated, only a few elements of the original day are brought back in detail, so it didn't feel repetitive. Some days it's Gwen trying to help a family member, other days she's getting super frustrated and acting a bit zany. I loved the different characters in this, particularly Gwen's cousin Manny and the grandmother.
This book is as much about connecting with family, the complex relationships they have and the truths they all hide from each other. I loved seeing all the realisations Gwen makes about her family and herself too. And the romance is cute, there's not a lot of it in the grand scheme of things but there are some lovely, fun moments between Gwen and Dev
I ended up mostly listening to this, the narrator does an excellent job with all the accents for the characters. A cute, festive read that will leave you warm and fuzzy!

Gwen is a lover of Christmas. Christmas movies, music, family, all of it! Until this year came around and she’s left alone after the love of her life went off with another woman, leaving her heartbroken and alone. After an incident at the law firm she works at has her unfairly suspended it’s safe to say she doesn’t feel the cheer of the holidays.
Arriving home for Christmas we get a look closer into Gwen’s life and the pressure her family puts on her.
Not only does she have to live this disaster out once but over and over again. The same day, on repeat. But Gwen decides to take this opportunity to mend things and help wishes come true.
I have to say I’ve never been a fan of the Groundhog Day kind of reads but this one was fun and crazy!
This read is funny, you can’t help but laugh out loud every now and again but there’s also sentimental moments, moments that’ll hit deep.
This is my first read from this author and it’s been amazing.
The Christmas Wish is a fun and intriguing holiday read. It’s a book on second chance at love and Christmas spirit. It’s happy and entertaining, definitely worth a read.

4.5 stars
I really enjoyed this novel. The ‘Groundhog Day’ storyline (although repetitive) was very funny, with laugh out loud moments happening in each of the days.
It was a fabulous festive read & I liked all the characters. Especially Dev and Manny. With a lovely, happy ending.

Loved it. A fab Groundhog Day festive read. Great story full of fun, laughs and some serious notes that tug on the heartstrings. Listened to the audio alongside the book and it had great narration that really brought the story to life

The concept of this was Christmas Day crossed with Groundhog Day, which I really enjoyed. This was my first read by this author and I absolutely loved her writing style and inclusion of references to popular culture. I also laughed out loud at some points, my personal favourite was Gwen’s Christmas present from her dad 🙈
There are the perfect mix of characters, some completely loveable and some not so much (Oliver!). I adored the main character Gwen and felt her frustration every time she woke up and it was Christmas morning again. She was the perfect MC and completely relatable and I loved following her journey of self discovery.
This was such a cute lighthearted read perfect for the festive season, 3.5 stars

Ah the return of Lindsey Kelk to my life every time she releases a new book, it just makes me happy and want to run off to New York and start a new life with a heroic designer bag (if you know you know).
This latest release follows our main character Gwen who is returning home for Christmas with her family.
Have you read In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren? This one’s along a similar story line in that Gwen is stuck in Christmas Groundhog Day and is trying to find her way out by trying to grant everyone’s Christmas wishes.
I loved this. I can’t lie. I love Lindsey’s writing, I love her characters and their sarcastic dry wit and how that comes through in both the narrative and dialogue. If you’ve not read anything from Lindsey before then why not start here, or do some googling if you don’t know who Angela Clarke and Jenny Lopez are!

i’m a big fan of lindsey kelk and this festive fun filled romance didn’t disappoint!
it’s a real feel good read that makes you realise you wouldn’t ‘wish it could be christmas everyday’
can’t wait for her next book…

This book was a perfect Christmas pick me up. Easy to read and I enjoyed the Groundhog Day element to it as well. A must read!

. I absolutely loved this book it was so magical and so many ways
. I connected with all the characters in the book except Oliver he was just an idiot from the outset
. Nan was an absolute hoot and so so loveable
. The plot surrounds a family orientated Christmas which had so many ups and downs
. I really liked this as I love hearing about what people do/ have as family traditions at Christmas time so this on repeat was perfect for me
. I loved how the book was so modern in relation to Christmas, there were mentions of lots of ‘in things’ from recently
. I would 100% recommend this Christmassy read to anyone who loves a Christmas read, needs to get into the Christmas spirit or wants a lighthearted funny read
. Thank you to Net Galley for approving me for this digital ARC in return for an honest review

One Christmas with the family is usually enough but having to do it over and over until you get it right would be a nightmare which is what happens to Gwen. Can she find out what she wants in life for herself so she can move on and finally have Boxing day ?
Absolutely loved it, some parts I thought were hilarious and was sat chuckling to myself , hubby actually wanted to know what I was laughing about, when I read the part out it made him laugh too
A definite must read

This is a funny and original story, along the same idea as Groundhog Day. It is enjoyable and entertaining and an interesting plot.
I really enjoyed reading this book, I've not read many of Lyndsey Kelk's books before but I have enjoyed reading the ones that I have read so far. I definitely recommend this book.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

Lindsey Kelk is my favourite author for a reason and The Christmas Wish does not disappoint.
I loved the premise of Groundhog Day and watching the various Christmas Day’s unfold. Gwen was such a gorgeous character and I related to her a lot. It was wonderful seeing her develop and realise what was important. Family was another aspect I loved and it made my heart happy that they were so close and each member had their own problems/regrets. Shout out to Nan what a fabulous human!
I also really loved all the nods to Christmas throughout. From the mention of confectionery to the traditional festive songs it was so wholesome and I’m definitely in the mood now!

The Christmas Wish
Newly single Lawyer Gwen hopes a family Christmas will help to mend her broken heart. Little does she realise she has to live Christmas day over and over while she tries to figure out how to break the cycle and fix her life.
This was a great feel good Christmas read. Sometimes I find groundhog days style reads a bit to repetitive and get a bit bored after several times around but each Time was so different and unique I loved it !
Definitely recommend for a cosy Christmas read.

I have always been a big fan of Lindsey Kelk, and this book is certainly no exception. The story follows Gwen during a rough time in her professional and romantic life and her emotions are only heighten by her return to the family home for Christmas.
I haven't read a story with a similar plot line (groundhog day) before, so i really enjoyed reading about how each day and each choice Gwen made had a different outcome, from helping family members who are still grieving, to strengthening her relationship with her sister, this book really covered a lot of important topics, but most importantly focused on family and unconditional happiness.
The characters were very likeable and it was a great festive read which i always looked forward to reading at the end of a long day and I cannot wait for the next Kelk book.

What a great Christmas read! I enjoy Christmas as much as the next person, but being trapped in a Christmas Groundhog day sounds truly awful! Gwen finds herself in just this scenario and the book is a tale of her finding her way out and onwards with her life. Some hilarious detours and heartwarming moments see Gwen and her family through and this book is about finding your way out of your current situation if you're really not happy and being brave. A really good read.

I loved every page of this. I loved Gwen. I loved the family dynamics. I loved the main concept of the book. Absolute Christmas reading joy

I’ve read all Lindsey’s books and they just get better and better. Set in Wales UK with a leading character Gwen who you just fall in love with from the first page her cousin Manny (oh I wish I had a cousin like him.) Her whole family you just wish you could meet in real life. A fantastic read that has put me in the Christmas spirit. Lindsey you cheer me up with your witty writing and my Christmas wish would be “Could you please write a book monthly to keep me happy through the year”

Lindsey Kelk has done it again!
Such a cute, funny, festive read.
I loved all the characters (apart from Oliver, he can do one), you really get to know them and feel like a part of their family. I think Nan is my favourite, that little twist at the end almost broke me (that was mean Lindsey, just mean 😂)
This is definitely a book I will be reading every Christmas.
