I really enjoyed this festive read that is just a bit different to the usual Christmas romance. It was funny, heart warming and I really enjoyed the lessons in each day for the whole family. A lovely ending made for a great read.

Firstly, thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I’m attempting to get right into the Christmas spirit and so have started my Christmas reading mid November. This was a great addition to the seasonal festive feeling and brought laughter too.
I will admit, when I realised the plot was going to be *********** (I won’t say it and spoil it), I rolled my eyes and thought it would be rubbish. It really wasn’t. The first few Christmas days, we ok, but by the sixth I definitely had my own thoughts and wanted to know what needed to happen. The end however………it was everything that I needed to get into that Christmas spirit. Perfect!!

I started this expecting it to be filled with a Christmas romance vibes but was delighted to find more. A heartwarming, fun, and magical Christmas hallmark movie in a form of a book, this is a story of Gwen Baker as she goes home for Christmas only to find herself waking up to the same day all over again, stuck in a Christmas day timeloop. Through this, she tries to figure it out while tackling present issues she’s been burying in the back burner.
I enjoyed this book so much even when the chapters are lengthy for me. Still, the plot’s structure was paced out perfectly. We can see how Gwen battles through each day, dealing with different scenarios and people, albeit the recurring loop of Christmas. I had many moments where I was laughing at her inner monologue, too. Lindsey’s writing is so fun to read and incredibly cinematic where I can just picture the story so vividly.
I first saw this book categorized only as a romance but I have to point out to everyone who haven’t read it yet, and are interested to, that it isn’t just romance. I mean, Dev is one heck of a man and he contributes so much to Gwen’s growth but really, it’s a lot more on Gwen’s life, her job, her relationships, her family, and her outlook in life.
It’s interesting too seeing how the day repeats again for her and it seems as if the timeloop is a chance for her to make things right again and figure out her life. It’s also a bittersweet feeling to see some scenes not being remembered the next day by some people. As you continue to turn the page, you find yourself cheering for her more, and it all wrapped up in such a rewarding full circle moment for me as a reader.
Lastly, I love the mystery element to this and you just get to enjoy and go along with the ride as you let the story surprise you.
This is a must read Christmas holiday read, I highly recommend!

Thank you Netgalley, HarperCollins UK, and HarperFiction, for this eARC.

This book was light, and very funny. It was not so much romance, but had more family shenanigans and funny times. I enjoyed watching Gwen's growth with herself and her family throughout the book. Overall, an enjoyable holiday read!

Who knew that Christmas Groundhog Day was a book that needed to be read but it was and it’s excellent.
I loved the Manny and Gwen characters, the premise of the story is good and I liked how she worked out her issues and the issues of others each Christmas Day.
Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I love a Christmas read and this book was like a Christmas Hallmark film! As a lawyer, I sympathised and empathised with Gwen and her career woes. The Christmas Groundhog Day idea really intrigued me too, but I did find myself skimming some of the chapters. Overall, perfect read for relaxing over the festive season, maybe with a nice Horlicks and Baileys.

A classic Christmas read to get you in the festive mood at this time of year. Fans of Mhairi Macfarlane will enjoy this, alright not quite as witty as MM!

I’ve made a start on the Christmas reads and what a good start it was…
Airing more on the side family drama than romance; I found it entertaining, funny and that it actually had quite a lot of heart as Gwen got to see herself and family in a new light.
I thought the author did a good job of Groundhog Day storyline - I felt unnecessary details were skipped and the focus was on the action which kept you entertained and reading!
Gwen was a great lead character and led the story well tho I did think there were odd parts that borderline being a bit silly and idealistic but hey ho they were small and soon faded into the background. I also really enjoyed the wider cast of characters, especially wise and opinionated, no filter Nan!
Great little beginning to my Christmas reads! With thanks to the author, @netgalley and @harpercollinsuk for allowing us to read this one early - sorry it late I didn’t feel very Christmassy in October! This one’s OUT NOW!
Any more Christmas read recommendations? ⏬

Really enjoyed this book! Such an easy festive read, if you liked “In a Holidaze” you’ll love this book…
Gwen is stuck on Christmas Day, all thanks to the sixpence… or so she thinks. Each Christmas Day, Gwen attempts to make someone else happy by making their wish come true in the hopes that she’ll wake up and it’s Boxing Day… but Boxing Day doesn’t come for quite a few more Christmases…
I loved Gwens character and how the author makes you think about what you should do to help yourself and be happy rather than prioritise everyone else first like Gwen did..
Sometimes making yourself happy can help other people and the relationships you have with them!
The chapters are quite long and I sometimes had to stop half way through (I know, it’s a crime) because I was at work but other than that, I absolutely loved it’

I rarely read books about Christmas and for those that I did read, I didn't enjoy them. BUT THIS. I enjoyed reading 'The Christmas Wish' so much. The journey of reading this was pure escapism for me, and I felt like I was watching a Christmas movie. 🥹 There were also some relatable moments, too - for example, Gwen questioning her job and why she's stuck doing something she doesn't want to do. I also really liked how this book is based in the UK and in a small countryside town! The whole book just felt very cosy to read 🥰
Thank you to the author, Lindsey Kelk, and Harper Collins for sending me this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts! 💙

A lawyer featuring in a Christmas book. Is there a more perfect Christmas novel for me!
One thing that does make me laugh the more books I read with lawyers in; is just how stressed lawyers are portrayed to be. Every lawyer needs a break in these books!
I read this book as part of netgalley November and a buddy read. It was a real fun read. The author delivers some absolute gems of one liners and had me howling in stages. Particularly the Boris Johnson line!
I loved the way the author tackled this book. Seeing Christmas Day from all the different perspectives. The one that spoke to me most was Gwen. I had all the feels with Gwen and just wanted to hug her tightly.
The book is a typical Christmas novel in most parts, but it also felt very original.
I really do enjoy this authors writing and I am really going to have to read the “I heart” series
Thank you to the publisher for the gifted netgalley copy and to Gemma for the buddy read

I do enjoy a dose of festive romance but as you inevitably know what you're going to get. it takes a good writer to keep me engaged. And Lindsey Kelk does a good job here. The characters are funny, very real and relatable and the dialogue is excellent. It feels festive throughout and the author does a good job of coming up with a number of clever scenarios as Gwen continues to relive her Christmas Day.

Brilliant! I loved it. Some great insight from the protagonist, Gwen. Although the premise wasn't new - Groundhog Day - it did feel like a fresh take on it. Lots of humour and poignancy. Sufficiently festive. The romance was well done too. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have read all Lindsay Kelk books and love them all - this one does not disappoint! I thought it was brilliant fun, some really funny one liners and many descriptions of situations which made me instantly relate to the main character.. I would highly recommend this and will definitely be reading it again! Many thanks to Netgalley for an advanced copy

Love me a Lindsey Kelk book, and this was no different!
The Christmas Wish is a surreal love story where our heroine, Gwen, finds herself reliving Christmas Day like a Groundhog Day moment. She doesn't know why, but each day relives it to see what she can change to get back to normality.
Through her repeated days, she comes to understand more about her family and their wants and desires, as well as many meetings with a person who might or might not be that special someone, but more importantly, she learns important lessons that will affect her own life and future.
I loved this story and sped through it in a few hours.
Gwen's relationship with her cousin Manny was fantastic, and I loved Granny!
Even Pari, Dev's dog, had a short but incredibly sweet role in the story.
A great festive read.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins, UK for an ARC.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, easy to read and a real pleasure. I liked all the characters (except the ex boyfriend) and loved the story line. Of course we all knew it would be a happily ever after and I was pretty sure who it would be and why, but didn't stop me enjoying it. Will certainly recommend to friends.

I forgot how much I adore Lindsey Kelk’s books! I read the first few I Heart… books when I was still in my teens and then binged the whole series on audiobook when the latest instalment was released. So I’ve been a fan for a while but hadn’t read any of her standalone books yet. She can do no wrong!
I am always looking for a good time loop trope (there aren’t enough of these books!) so I was sold on this book the second I read the description.
I wouldn’t say that Gwen was the most relatable character, but her general attitude and sense of humour were what made me like her. I found myself swooning whenever Dev appeared to save the day so that’s always a good sign of a well written love interest!
I found myself describing this book to someone as ‘not the Hallmark kind of Christmassy but the real life kind’ and with the exception of the time loop I think that’s true. It had real family dynamics and banter.
If you love Christmas and time loops, definitely pick this up. And if you already love Lindsey Kelk, it’s a no brainer.

What a perfect Christmassy joy this book was. I love Lindsey Kelk already, but this one just felt extra special. I’m not normally one for magical realism, but it worked so well in this book. The characters were loveable with pitch perfect family dynamics, the plot pacing was spot-on and the ending just left me with a big smile on my face. And, to top it all off, it was incredibly funny - I was belly-laughing my way through so many scenes and remarks from characters, it was just pure entertainment the whole way through.

Funny Funny. Funny
I absolutely adored this latest offering by Lindsey Kelk which had me rolling with laughter.
I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day.......we sing it every Christmas but what about if it becomes reality.
Well it does to our lovely Gwen. As many Christmas days come and go, does she learn the lessons she needs to enable her to change her life??!!
A heart warming, funny story which leaves a real feel good factor.
Loved it x
