This is a cracking Christmas novel that has you in stiches from page one. I loved all the characters and the reference to groundhog day was brilliant

I’d forgotten how much I love Lindsey Kelk’s writing, she just writes the best, most relatable characters.
This book was an absolute joy. Funny and sweet with a touch of dark humour, I just couldn’t put it down.
The characters felt so real, which is something I often struggle with in a festive romcom. This has 100% got me in the Christmas spirit and I completely recommend to anyone!

This was a cute Christmas story. I think I've read so many Groundhogs day type stories that when I found out this is what it was, I was disappointed.

It was executed very well but I think I need a break from this particular storyline.

This is the first of Lindsey Kelk's books I've read, and it wasn't quiet what I expected. The first few chapters were really enjoyable, but then "the thing" (no spoilers) happened and it threw me off a little. The story had moments of the ridiculous about it, and I found myself laughing along, but not quite knowing why. Some of the antics were so crazy and unbelievable that I couldn't quite get to grips with them.
Then it suddenly hit me, that is what it was all about! The story was meant to be ridiculous and crazy, and that is where it gained its charm. I realised by the "second event" (still no spoilers) that was exactly what was going on. From that moment on, I began to enjoy Gwen and Manny, Cerys warmed to me and Dev became the reluctant hero. Throughout the book, I wanted to see how the Christmas wish played out and I started to wonder, what happens next?
A lovely Christmas story, full of whimsy and escapism

I really enjoyed reading The Christmas Wish. It is such a sweet and cosy read. It is everything I want in a Christmasy book. Highly recommend

I adored this book. I could relate to the main character and her relationship with Christmas. Christmas is about family, eating too much chocolate and drinking baileys before lunchtime. But this book makes you think is everything really as you see it - is what people share really the whole story.

This delightful cast of characters slowly reveal their inner truths and you feel the development Gwen has in her relationships. This book is predominantly about family drama (in the most undramatic way), with a side helping of romance.

Witty dialog, funny and also touching situations; this book really does deliver it all.

A must for festive reading!

I do love a Lindsey Kelk book, and adding festive shenanigans to
the mix is perfect! Loved this, the concept is brilliant and loved seeing the story play out in so many ways.
Great characters, some to love and some to not like so much, I can’t imagine having such chaotic christmases but they were certainly entertaining to read about!
Romance, family relationships, love, drama and festive cheer in one read. A Kelk classic!

This is such a cute, easy Christmas read. I loved the concept of this book with Gwen reliving the same Christmas Day over and over again. I enjoyed getting to see her spend time with each member of her family as she tries to work out what their wish would be and reconnecting with them at the same time. This book is a feel good read that subtly reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas. Perfect cozy Christmas read!

It’s Christmas, the happiest time of year. That is unless your family life is complicated, like Gwen. Everything that could possibly go wrong does, everything. And to make it even worse when Gwen wakes up the next morning it’s Christmas Day all over again. Thank you so much for the ARC to the publisher, author and Netgalley. My rating is 4,5 stars!

To be quiet frank time loop plots can be very complicated and sometimes even annoying. That said I didn’t get that vibe from this one at all. Every section is unique and has its own little twist as Gwen tries to grant her family members wisher. So that’s a big plus in my book.

I really enjoyed Gwen as a female MC. She’s had a rough past few months, been broken up with, suspended on work, had to move. It’s a lot. I think most people can relate to Gwen in one way or another and take something from her experience. Love a relatable main character. The other characters are just overall amazing. Just know that you’re in for a treat.

As far as the romance goes while it’s really sweet I wish there was more of it. Dev, the next boy next door turned hot surgeon. I mean who wouldn’t want that. They’re so good together, it’s easy and fun. The best of the friends to lovers trope.

Overall this definitely stands out from the other Christmas novels I’ve read and it’s going on my Christmas favorites list. Go get yourself copy!

Gwen is going to spend Christmas with her family. After recently being suspended from work and being “dumped” she’s not exactly in the Christmas mood. After managing to get through Christmas Day she awakes the next day to find out that it’s Christmas Day all over again - Groundhog Day. How can she stop being trapped in a never ending Christmas Day?

I really enjoyed this read, I thought the idea of repeating Christmas Day would be lovely, but this isn’t the case for Gwen. She soon discovers that nobody’s life is perfect and everyone wishes for different things..

A great read that I found hard to put down and couldn’t wait to see how it all ended. My 1st read by this author but I shall be looking at her other books after reading this.

Gwen Baker has had a terrible few months. Her boyfriend cheated on her, threw her out of the gorgeous house they shared, and she might not have a job after Christmas. When she returns home for Christmas, the day descends into chaos, bit by bit. If only she could have a do-over...

I was immediately drawn to this book because of the Groundhog Day/In A Holidaze vibe and I was NOT disappointed. I lost count of how many times I had to stop reading because tears were pouring down my face, either from laughter or because the characters broke my heart. The humour was top tier. The 'rat' and the Christmas present from Gwen's dad took me out. I loved that the Baker family's Christmas traditions were so relatable. Comedic moments aside, there's also so much heart, and the second half really packed an emotional punch. I adored Manny. While he had some of the best one-liners (along with Myfanwy), his back-story and the way he saw himself broke my heart. For that reason, I absolutely loved his ending.

I adored the reunion(s) between Gwen and her best friend and neighbour, Dev, and was wishing he could remember each one. They were so sweet together and their chemistry was palpable. I was rooting for them from the beginning. I won't spoil anything, but each individual re-do was brilliantly crafted, with tiny seeds dropped throughout the story that grew into the perfect ending. A perfect festive read that will leave your heart full, and a huge grin on your face.

Overall Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Heat Rating: 🔥
Emotional Rating: 😂🙈😂👀😱😢💔🤦🏻‍♀️😂🥰😍

What can I say other than Lindsey Kelk has done it again! I devoured this book in one sitting - it cheered me up from a rubbish cold and genuinely got me into Christmas spirit.

I’m a big fan of Lindsey Kelk, so I was really excited to have been accepted for this read! It was a warm, fuzzy read, which very much reminded me of the film “Groundhog Day”. Gwen is quite possibly my favourite character of Lindsey’s yet, and her family were brilliant in their own ways.

I think what I liked most was the fact we can all relate to the family chaos and baggage associated with the festive season, and the book explored some emotive topics without the characters taking themselves too seriously. I did of course predict the ending for this one, but I think that was part of the fun. If you want a cosy Christmas read, then this book is definitely for you. ⭐️ 4.5/5 stars. ⭐️

Gwen is at a low point in her life, experiencing singledom and trouble at work Spending time with her family is not the tonic that she is craving. Interfering parents, an annoying sibling and ghosts from the past all add to her stress. When she finds herself reliving the day again and again, she is pushed to the limit. Realising that everyone doesn't have the perfect life, she might just get the opportunity to heal and find happiness. I love anything written by Lindsey Kelk. A book not to be missed.

Thank you @netgalley, @lindseykelk and @harpercollinsuk for this e-arc.

Hello Christmas! My second Christmas read of the year and, as always, it didn’t disappoint.

Gwen has gone back to her parent’s house for Christmas.
But how would you feel having to relive the same day again and again and again...?
Who’s Christmas wish does Gwen have to make come true to ever live another day?

This was such a fun yet wholesome read.
At moments my heart broke for Gwen as she stumbled through each Christmas, trying to figure out where things have gone wrong, but ultimately it filled me with the warm and fuzzies. Enter the boy next door… oh hey there Dev!

I loved some of the pop culture references. A particular favourite was the Disney princess summaries…

Thank you Lindsey for another fab read!

Well and truely in the Christmassy mood now 🎄

Perfect, simply perfect.
This is possibly one of my favourite Lindsey Kelk books now. I adore Gwen, she’s so relatable.
Billed as a rom-com and whilst there is a good dollop of romance there’s far more comedic brilliance and that is more than alright with me!
Loved it!

I absolutely adore Lindsey's writing style she always has such great characters and those hilarious moments.

It's Chrismas day which turns into groundhog day what a genius idea.

This will have you in stitches with Gwen's antics and sticky situations.

I bloody loved it.

Oh I am now full of the Christmas spirit after reading The Christmas Wish by Lindsey Kelk. The Groundhog Day approach puts the makes Slade's wish come true!

I was already a fan of her writing but this is her best book by far. Absolutely hilarious, engaging and fun.

Let's start with a positive: Lindsey Kelk has successfully recreated the excitement of Christmas Day using words! 'The Christmas Wish' follows Gwen Baker, a high flying lawyer, as she visits her parents' house for the big day, only to find out that she has to relive this day over and over until she understands where she is stuck in life. The first pages of this book really drew me in and got me feeling festive, but as the book went on I found myself getting a little bored.

Although confusing at times, this groundhog day style of plot was really fun to keep up with. Unfortunately, it did get a little repetitive at times as predicted. The characters and relationships were well developed, and I thought the love interest was sweet enough, but this book didn't quite pack the punch that I expected it to.

The ending left me with many questions, such as 'WHY was she reliving this day?', 'what happened to her relationship with Dev?' 'Did Manny get the guy?'

It's a 3/5 for me!

The christmas wish one word amazing 👏. This book put me in the best mood as I was reading it. Makes me excited for the build up to Christmas. I loved the character Gwen and her family. And I loved the groundhog day spin on the book waking up reliving Christmas day. Writing style reminded me of Sophie kinsella. Pick up you won't be disappointed.
