This was a really humorous and heartwarming read. It wasn't what I was expecting and you had to keep turning the pages to see what high jinx was in store for the characters next. I loved that Chatsworth is featured in the book , it's one of my favourite historical houses to visit. If you want a festive read with lots of laughs and a happily ever after then I thoroughly recommend this.

I actually didn't know what's to beexpected, as I request Lindsey Kelk's books automatically, so I was a bit surprised with this time loop plot, but I think it worked well. Well, well-ish. I must say that the never - ending Christmas day was becoming tiring - sometimes less is more and in this case it was simply too much. No, I didn't feel bored, but after three or four days I didn't feel as invested as I was at the beginning. And I found myself skim - reading. Occasionally. But still. Not used to this when reading Lindsey Kelk.
Nevertheless, I loved the message in this book and enjoyed the lessons in the story and the way Gwen was figuring out what it is that makes her happy. I liked the characters, though couldn't completely warm to Gwen's parents, I don't know, they came so cold across somehow, it was Cerys that I liked more then the parents. However, I liked how the author explored dysfunctional families, adding to this also failed careers and relationships. This all with her hallmark and special touch of humour.
As usual, brilliantly written, Lindsey Kelk knows her strength but she also doesn't shy away from a bit deeper issues and she knows how to write about them. And I loved Dev and Drew.

Ahh what a book. It was like Groundhog Day, but Christmas edition! It was amazing. It perfectly captured the highs and lows of Christmas. The family drama, the food, the joys. Watching Gwen's life unfold, each Christmas day repeat was a pleasure, seeing her bloom more into herself and put her own happiness first. Loved it.

Many thanks to NetGalley for sharing this amazing digital reviewer copy with me in exchange for my opinion.

The Christmas Wish is a fabulous festive read that I completely immersed myself. It’s heartwarming, funny and has some great characters and I found it impassible to put down. I really liked the main character Gwen and thought the whole novel flowed smoothly. I can highly recommend this novel. Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins UK Harper Fiction and the author for the chance to review.

I have read a few christmas reads so far this year and this was one of the ones I would place at the top. it is so festive and so adorable and I loved the pop culture references. A fantastic read.

I am one of Lindsey Kelk's biggest fans and was absolutely THRILLED to be given the opportunity to read an advanced copy of The Christmas Wish. Think a mix of Groundhog Day and Love Actually, it has all the Christmas vibes I was hoping for with an excellent number of Taylor Swift references. I cackled a number of times and even shed a little tear. I can't wait for my pre-ordered hardback copy to arrive so I can curl up in front of the fire at Christmas and read it all over again.
Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy.

This was book was so full of lines that I was agreeing with I wholeheartedly enjoyed every minute of this book, When everything is going wrong with your life what you don’t want is a happy Christmas with your family pretending everything is ok , but Gwen soon realises that even her family are putting on a front and everyone has something that they are hiding. With a book full of characters that I loved everyone of them it was a fun read that I could imagine being part of. IOnly when Gwen started to not just wallow on her own world did she finally start to see her family for who they are, waking up every day may be good to learn from but as Gwen soon finds out Wishing it was Christmas every day isn’t the best thing you could ask for..
a great Christmas read which made me laugh and route for them all , well nearly.

This was such a fantastic and hilariously heart warming festive read. It was Christmas take on Groundhog Day and I loved it. I’ve never read a Linsey Kelk book I haven’t enjoyed.
This book is laugh-out-loud funny. The situations that Gwen finds herself in are hilariously relatable, and the book is packed with brilliantly witty and amusing dialogue. The portrayal of a family Christmas resonated so much...it was all such a typical British Christmas! And I just adored the references to nostalgic items and every day life, and the pop culture references. The character development was also really well written. I don’t usually enjoy magical realism but this book I just adored. Must be the Christmas magic.
My only critique is I would have liked to have seen more of Dev or the past history of him and Gwen.
However I also feel this book was just as much about families as well as romance which I really loved as family is so important to me.
This book is the perfect Christmas read! I highly recommend. I’m officially in the festive

I loved this soooooo much!
This was everything you want for a Christmas read. I really loved the romcom vibes that Kelk seamlessly delivers.
Gwen waking up on Christmas Day happy to be with her family only for her to keep waking up on Christmas Day was just hilarious. The way Gwen really tries and makes so much effort for everyone other than herself is a trait I can relate too. We follow her through her Christmas days while she tries to figure out why it’s happening and how can she fix it.
With each day holding a new adventure I definitely didn’t get your typical Groundhog Day vibes. I absolutely loved Gwen, she was so funny, charismatic and very sarcastic on her delivery. All the characters in the book were brilliantly written and not to mention the location being quite close to my hometown. It’s a win win in this book.
I just love how Kelk writes her female characters, they all give me that same girl next door with a twist vibe and I’m always here for it. With her books I find that even though it can seem a tad far-fetched in reality, I can still imagine life going that way and wanting to live on her books.
This is a must buy! You get Christmas, comedy, romance and some very spicy humour all under one book.

A Christmas day groundshog so Gwen can reevaluate her life and see where she fits with her family and dishy neighbour. A lovely romantic read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review this book.

This is a perfect, feel-good, cosy up with the fire and Christmas tree lit behind you kind of book. Perfect Christmas read, simple and easy! This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.
3.5/5.

This Groundhog Day Christmas romance is a real blast. Per usual with this Author, it is superbly written; and despite the day repeating, the story never felt repetitive, which is no mean feat. I loved the characters (apart from Dad and Oliver) and the family dynamics. As the story unfolds Gwen discovers a lot about herself and family members - And the situations she finds herself in are delightfully humourous.
If you like feel good, fun, entertaining and humorous festive reads then I recommend you pick up a copy when it is out on 10th November - you won't regret it.
Lindsey Kelk is one of my favorite authors, so I am eternally grateful to NetGallery and HarperFiction for approving my request for a copy of her latest book,

A beautiful heartwarming story, the ending was absolute perfection. Once again Lindsey Kelk delivers!
The story is a fresh and festive take on groundhog day, and the only way to snap out of it is to find who has wished on the sixpence in the Christmas Pud!

We have all been there, stuck in a rut and uncertain which path to follow in life. For Gwen Baker, a recent break-up and work crisis have forced her to reconsider her life choices.
In the vein of Groundhog Day Gwen is given the opportunity to explore her options over and over again. This is both a frustrating and hopeful adventure. Gwen learns more about her family and how much they mean to her. She also has the opportunity to reacquaint herself with her teenage crush Dev.
At first I was afraid this would be just like all of the other Groundhog Day books but I was pleasantly surprised. Lindsey Kelk creates characters who are funny and sincere. The situations the characters get into are humorous with many pop culture references. Overall it was quite enjoyable and even managed to get me into the Christmas spirit a little early.
Many thanks to @netgalley and HarperCollins UK, HarperFiction for the opportunity to preview this ARC. Please see my review on October 30/22 at http://www.instagram.com/becauseaudiobooks and

4.5 but I'm rounding up to 5 because I enjoyed this so much. Lindsey Kelk is one of those authors that whose new book I'll always pick up. She has never disappointed me. Her humour is second to none and she creates such relatable and likable characters.
The Christmas Wish is one of her best. I laughed out loud so many times and I just adored Gwen. Having to relive the same day 10 times sounds repetitive but every one was unique, entertaining and filled with Lindsey's wit and warmth. A must read for Chick Lit lovers this festive season.

Christmas book + Lindsey Kelk = perfection 👏🏼 ❤️
If you’ve followed me for a while you know I’m a huge Lindsey Kelk fan, and I’m also a HUGE Christmas person, so I was super excited for this one, and the fact it’s released on my birthday, I feel it’s fate 🫶🏼
I loved so much about this book…
❄️ the Christmas time loop
🎄 the Taylor Swift snippets
❄️ the RHOBH reference
🎄 the one and only Myfanwy James
❄️ characters that we love (Manny)
🎄 characters that we love to hate (Oliver)
❄️ the journey that Gwen makes ❤️
🎄 the setting, that village, Chatsworth House
❄️ the Christmas traditions
Basically…the whole thing from start to finish! 👏🏼
This one is out on the 10th November, and even though I’ve already read it (thank you NetGalley and Harper Collins) I cannot wait for my copy to arrive…and yes, of course I went for the special edition 😍

I’ve read a few of Lindsey’s books over the years and have always enjoyed them. I must admit though that I was a bit reticent when faced with a Christmas book in October! But what a funny, joyous read it was!
Gwen travels home to Yorkshire for Christmas with her cousin/like a brother to her Manny from London. Gwen isn’t really feeling festive after her boyfriend cheated on her and she has had to move out of the home they shared. She also isn’t looking forward to the family reunion with her older sister Cerys, as they aren’t exactly the best of friends. So when Christmas Day arrives, along with the trials and tribulations that it brings, Gwen finds herself left wanting. And so begins a story of many Christmas Days, as Gwen learns to live and love again (along with many funny and poignant moments taking place).
I loved this book. It was warm hearted, funny and so enjoyable. Would highly recommend.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read and review.

A laugh out loud, festive favourite!
A big thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK for allowing me this ARC!
4.5 stars for me! I devoured this book and I found myself laughing out loud over a book for the very first time! Loveable, relatable characters, set in the UK with my hometown of Sheffield getting a mention. I will read this every Christmas to get me into the festive spirit!

I love Lindsey Kelk books and this did not disappoint. Fabulously Christmassy, a perfect book for cosying up with this winter.

Lindsey Kelk is one of my go-to authors, a guaranteed good read. The Christmas Wish had me a little doubtful with its ‘groundhog day’ theme. However, my doubts were silly - this was a fabulous book!
We start with Gwen and Manny’s drive home for a family Christmas. Gwen relives Christmas Day over and over as she tries to establish which family member has brought this on with a silver sixpence wish.
We follow Gwen’s frustrations and get to know each character in the process. I absolutely loved the realistic relationships between Gwen and her family.
This was a humorous read with a few heartwarming moments that I may have shed a sneaky tear too!
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for my advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review 📚
