Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
This is a lovely, well written, feel-good Christmas read. The characters were lovely and relatable, and I love the setting of Periwinkle Bay and the community.
Magda is left in charge of her grandchildren while their parents leave for work abroad.
She’s not sure how she’s supposed to entertain them, when she sees her Mother’s cookbook on a shelf. When she opens it, there’s not just recipes written by her, but Magda feels like her Mother is guiding her along, with a bit of Magic and love.
The children were cute and the mouth-watering dishes that were cooked by them and Magda sounded delicious.
I recommend this book.

This is a lovely feel-good Christmas read, great storyline and wonderful characters , very well written and manages to evoke an image of Periwinkle Bay and its inhabitants. However, I do have one little quibble for the author, proof-readers & editors inasmuch as the chapter ‘Ten Years Before’ has Magda describing Jared as being age 25 and married, whereas in the chapter ‘Nine Years Before’ Jared has only just proposed . It didn’t spoil the enjoyment of the book entirely but it is a glaring error.
