I loved this book. A great storyline and well crafted characters. Lots of twists and totally enthralling. I always look forward to the next Jeffrey Deaver and love the Shaw series.. Highly recommend.

I’ve really enjoyed the previous Colter Shaw thrillers in this series and Hunting Time is no exception.
Thrilling, superbly plotted, tense and full of continued character development - love these - great escapism and excitement with depth. Colter is on a protection mission and it’s so action packed and adrenaline fuelled - what’s not to enjoy for readers of this genre. I want more!

It is easier to pack a book with twists when you undersell the intelligence of the main characters. This book made me ambivalent that I didn't foresee where the book was headed. I picked this for the author without knowing Colter Shaw was.

The book starts off as an industrial espionage with complex nuclear technology and this reward hunter who smartly gets off from a sticky position. In parallel we see a man getting parole and getting himself a gun. Soon the book changes shape into a family squabble and an engineer Alice Parker is running away with her daughter away from her husband. And Colter Shaw is now supposed to locate them and make them safe.

As a thriller, the book does keep you hooked, like a action movie. So much so that it felt the author was thinking of movie rights with extremely well choreographed action sequences and even a very nice equation between Colter Shaw and the adoloscent. There are a few tossed in facts and trivia which are interesting.

To be honest, I found a hero as a "survivalist" too unconventional. I am not sure it worked for me though I understand Jack Reacher could have been an inspiration. Quick read nonetheless.

Colter Shaw is one tough guy that I wouldn't want to come across on the wrong side. I love this series and can't wait for more.

This was brilliant. The expertly crafted suspense in this novel ensures you'll be immersed in its mysteries, eagerly piecing together the puzzle it presents. Same as always from any book this guy writes!

Jeffrey Deaver is always brilliant. His hero Colter Shaw is an excellent creation, not to be missed. I was extremely disappointed that we were deprived of further development of his back story in this outing. So much more to learn about his brother, father and colleagues. It's a vital ingredient of an episodic adventurer. Sure, the story was great, with the twists and turns one expects when picking up a JD novel.
I've not missed an adventure yet, and don't intend to.

The characters are well-developed and believable, and the plot is fast-paced and exciting. If you're a fan of thrillers, then you'll definitely want to check out "Hunting Time."

Hunting Time by Jeffery Deaver is book 4 in the Colter Shaw series and is even better than the other books in the series. All of the books that I have read by this author, require the reader to concentrate and focus on whichever book the reader is reading, otherwise you will soon get lost in the twists and turns and the facts and fiction of all books by this author.
Jeffery Deaver is a master in the storytelling department and all of the books have a tale to tell. This storyline is about deception, truth, lies and murder. The story begins with a small component missing and sold to the highest bidder. Then it is recovered but the main engineer of the company has to leave town suddenly with her daughter because her abusive husband has just been released early.
Colton Shaw has to find her and keep both the mother and the daughter safe. All is not however as it seems and the concluding chapters proves once again why Jeffery Deaver knows how to deliver a masterclass in storytelling.

The Colter Shaw books are fast becoming one of my favourite series of books to read. 100% page turner. Jeffery Denver’s ability to keep you hooked from the first page to the last every time, is a joy to behold. Highly recommended, 5 stars all the way.

This started out as a trilogy with an underlying story arc that was resolved in book 3. I’m glad he’s brought Colter back for a fourth outing, and without the background story this one stands alone, and is even more fast-paced since it has only one storyline to contend with. An excellent thriller.

Thorough enjoyed diving back into the world of Colter Shaw. I like the twist to this Character, blurred lines between police and Joe public.
Great story, good character development and brilliant twist at end.

Another nail biter of a story from the master that is Jeffery Deaver.

Full of twists, I always enjoy any book by Jeffery Deaver. The research that is done into the subject of the book always adds to my arsenal of knowledge - in the case of this book, I learned all about nuclear power and pocket suns. Very interesting!

Colter is a character who is growing on me, and I find myself looking forward to his next adventure.

#HuntingTime #NetGalley Book 4 in the Colter Shaw series but perfectly capable of being read as a standalone although it does enhance the experience to know more about the background of Colter Shaw and his family. A well written (as you would expect from Jeffery Deaver), fast paced book with plenty of action. I particularly like the interaction between Colter and Allison's teenage daughter, Hannah. A twist at the end that I didn't see coming! I look forward to the next in this series.

Hooray! Colter Shaw is back!

Marty Harmon hires Colter Shaw to find out which staff member working for his company, Harmon Energy Products, is stealing miniature nuclear power plants and selling them to Middle Eastern operatives. Colter Shaw quickly finds the culprit and is offered a job working for Harmon Energy Products as part of their security team. Sonja Nilsson is head of Harmon Energy Security, and Colter and Sonja have formed a good working relationship finding the culprit.

Jon Merritt is unexpectedly released early from prison after a violent assault on his wife and discovers where she is now living. Allison Parker, his wife, has a restraining order forbidding him from coming anywhere near her or their daughter, Hannah. When she hears Jon Merritt is free, she and Hannah quickly pack up and flee the house. She knows he won’t take long to discover where they live.

Allison Parker works for Harmon Energy Products as an engineer. She is responsible for some of the most advanced work on miniature power plants. When she goes missing with her daughter, it is up to Colter and Sonja to track her and keep her safe from Jon Merritt. However, does Jon Merritt want to kill her or someone else?

And that’s all I can say about the storyline of this genuinely outstanding novel. I had to double back now and then to ensure I didn’t miss some vital clues. Harlen Coben has excelled with this extraordinarily complex plot.

I love this author. Jeffery Deaver, please give us more Colter Shaw cases.

Fast paced thriller which is so twisty it did actually keep me guessing.

Classic Jeffrey Deaver. Fast paced and quick to read. Great thriller, kept me guessing. Will read the others in this series now.

I cannot believe this is the first book I have read from Jeffrey Deaver!
I am such an avid reader and I devour hundreds of books a year. I was really really looking forward to this book and boy, it did not disappoint! I simply LOVED the main character Colter Shaw, described as an unique investigator, expert tracker with a forensic mind. What a wonderful set of skills!
Jeffrey Deaver had a lot of work to do as the main character's definition was very ambitious!!!!
This story delivers on all fronts and more with a wicked mystery action story, very current with our times. Pure pleasure :)
The even better news is that there are more stories featuring Colter Shaw and I will immediately buy them from Amazon as soon as I finish my review. Absolutely fabulous!

I always enjoy Jeffrey Deaver's books, although this is the first I have read to feature Colter Shaw.

I don't think my enjoyment of the book suffered for not having read the first three instalments in the series. The story was quite fast-paced, and I liked how events took some turns on the way to the conclusion.

I think I'll go back and find out what Mr Shaw got up to before our paths crossed!
