A family of four discovering London by boarding the London Bus. The rhyming book shows us famous places in London. But aware of children's boredom, they slipped a page of games to do while flipping the book. Interesting book to read, and amazing illustration provided, with a raven that follows the journey.

This was a cute picture book, that I think would be perfect for children visiting London for the first time. We are taken on a tour of London in a classic red bus, being shown some of the most famous sights with really colourful illustrations and fun rhyming lines- there were even some places that I hadn't heard of or visited. I did struggle with some of the language- the vocabulary contradicted the child like rhymes at some points and I think most of it went over the head of my five year old brother, he didn't understand what was being said. I therefore think this is more suited for older children, even though the rhyming makes it feel quite young. I did overall enjoy this book and would recommend it as long as you're prepared to explain what's being said to any young readers a little more than you maybe usually would.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an advanced ebook copy of this title!

All Aboard the London Bus is a fun and informative book to read by Patricia Toht! I have always wanted to travel to the United Kingdom, especially to London and all the sites, and when I saw the book All Aboard the London Bus, I knew I had to read it. All Aboard the London Bus is a children’s book that introduces children to some of London, England’s most well known landmarks–Ben Ben and The London Eye to name a few. The book also explains how each landmark came to be, such as The Tower Bridge and The River Thames. In the back of All Aboard the London Bus there are snippets of other landmarks and things of cultural significance to the city, like why having an Afternoon Tea is so popular.

I really love All Aboard the London Bus! I love how Patricia Toht writes about the famous London Landmarks and their history in a easy-to-understand way. I also love how the Author explains things that are culturally significant to London and why they are important to it’s People. All Aboard the London Bus is a great way to introduce children to London. The illustrations accent the book well. I believe All Aboard the London Bus would be a great book/resource for a classroom or homeschool setting when learning about London. It would be great to read anytime too! I highly recommend All Aboard the London Bus! But be forewarned: after reading this book you may be finding yourself buying an airplane ticket to London!

A short, lovely book detailing the sites of London. This is a fun one for UK youngsters, but also American readers hoping to learn more about the scenery and ways of life across the pond.

Exceptionally well done! Patricia Toht poetically captures London as she serves as your tour-guide through all the main tourist attractions. Each poem is very well thought out, and lyrically shares information about each site or event. A must-read for poetry month!

A beautiful book of poetry for children that explores different “stops” on a tour around London including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and more!

I loved that the book showcased different types of poetry (would be great for an elementary poetry study tied-into a social studies unit!) and one of the pages was even a seek and find!

The end of the book included more information about the different places mentioned in the poems which was a nice added bonus! The illustrations were beautiful and very detailed! Highly recommend!

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

All Aboard the London Bus is such a book filled with rhyming and fun facts about London that are perfect for kids. The illustrations are bright & fun, the rhyming verses were entertaining & the facts were interesting. My son has been to London several times (we live in Australia but my husband is from Cambridge) and he got so excited to see places he's been in this book. This would make a great visual book for any child to read before or while they're exploring London.
I received a digital ARC of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a colourful and fact filled tour around London Town written in east to understand rhyming verses.
I read this to my 3 girls and then the oldest read it again twice to the younger two. It was a firm favourite.
The girls loved the artwork, it’s almost vintage like (in a good way!)and to me brought nostalgia as a reminder of books such as The Tiger Who Came To Tea. Girls loved finding out about all the landmarks!
Highly recommend. I have reviewed this on Amazon.

This book takes readers on a virtual tour of key London landmarks. The poetic verse is fun, the illustrations are beautiful and bear resemblance to the real thing, and there are opportunities for kids to engage with the material.

My kids enjoyed interacting with the book (like following the prompts to search for things in scenes) and learning more about London. This would be a great book for kids to explore before a trip to help them get acquainted with what to expect in London.

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review!

4.5/5 stars

This was a great tour of London. I like how it used a double-decker bus as a mechanism for getting around town and seeing different landmarks. The illustrations had a vintage feel, which will likely really appeal to some readers, but might feel dated to others. I really liked how some of the pages gave information, but others mixed in different things like the Trafalgar Square seek and find page. I think it will keep readers engaged. I was surprised that there wasn't a little more diversity in the crowds (would have been 5 stars but for this).

I would recommend this book for young readers who want to learn about London (residents and tourists alike).

It is jam packed full of interesting information all about London and different parts of London that you can visit, such as the London Eye, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace to name a few. It is a fun and interesting, educational book, which all children will love.

What a fabulous way to learn about the sights of London! This book features many famous attractions in London and gives you information about them in different forms of verse, from rhymes to haiku. The way text was used on the page, fitting into the location, was incredibly beautiful. I loved that it was paired with a fun-filled romp through the city. This would be a wonderful way to showcase the beauty and magic of London for a lesson or simply to expose children to other cities in the world. Fabulous book!

What a great trip through the sights in the city of London on a classic bus! Rhyme your way about town together as you read and all of you enjoy the fantastic things to see! Great for gifting!
The pages are filled with delightfully colorful illustrations by Sam Usher (reminiscent of Where's Waldo) which add even more fun to this book.
