This series does it again. I really love how they are able to actually hit the high points of these historical figures lives and makes them so meaningful and inspiring in just a few brief pages. It’s done brilliantly and beautifully.

What a great man Neil Armstrong was and I am so glad Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara did this as one of her little books for children! These books must be one of the best little books to purchase for children, these are the best-selling series of books and educational games that explore the lives of outstanding people, from designers and artists to scientists and activists. All of them achieved incredible things, yet each began life as a child with a dream.

Neil Armstrong :-

Little Neil’s dreams took flight when he rode on his first airplane as a child. After studying aeronautical engineering and time spent in the Navy, he became a pilot. From there, he was selected to take a trip to where no human had gone before—the moon! Along with his team, Buzz and Mike, he was the captain of the Apollo 11. And Neil took a giant step for humankind as the first person to ever step onto the surface of the moon. This inspiring book features stylish and quirky illustrations and extra facts at the back, including a biographical timeline with historical photos and a detailed profile of the legendary astronaut.

I highly recommend all of these wonderful books and a must for any child's book shelves.

Big thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for providing an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoy the books in this series and I love the mix of people that are featured.

This book features Neil Armstrong and gives a brief overview of his life before his famous moon landing and also a little after - the book is really informative for younger children and having read a few "grown up" books on him I loved the parts that have been picked to share in this one

The illustrations in the book are great and they really bring the book to life.
My daughter is space mad and this one was a real hit with her

It is 5 stars from me for this one – very highly recommended!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an advanced copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.

The art style in this series is just so darn cute. I absolutely love the art style, and it really lends itself to the time period of this book. Neil's story mainly takes place in the 50s and 60s and seriously.. this style couldn't be more perfect for this timeframe.

The story itself was cute-- a version of Neil's life that could be read to children. Not too scary, but still showing how serious NASA missions are and how brave Neil was to take them on.

There were a couple typos and weird words/phrases (like calling Neil a "hotshot test pilot"), but overall this was super cute and I would definitely buy this for a kid who is interested in biographies, space, or nonfiction.

This is a fun and informative book about the life of Neil Armstrong.

The illustrations were charming, and beautifully drawn. The story was fun and engaging. We really enjoyed learning some little facts about Neil, especially that his application to the space programme was late, and got added to the pile by a friend who thought he was good for the job.

Overall this was a lovely little book, and I would recommend it to parents to read with their children or even for children to read on the own if they are at the appropriate reading level.

My kids and I love this series and this book is a great addition to it! We found this one to be very interesting! It packed a lot more information into the text than some of the others do and really provides a nice, basic foundation of who Neil Armstrong is for children. As usual, the illustrations are great too!

Another Little People, Big Dreams book checked off my list. This is my favorite non fiction kid's series! Always beautifully illustrated, always interesting, and there's always something to learn no matter what your age! I learned a few things about Neil Armstrong that I either didn't know or didn't remember. So Fascinating! Love the timelines too!

Neil Armstrong is such an A-type.

This is an inspiring story and dang, does he have a pair on him LOL

Inspirational and should be read to all kids. In that day and age, to one day be the first man on the moon.. wowza..

Great illustrations and well thought out so that it is digestible for the kiddos.

I was in a bookstore recently and my niece spotted this series. #littlepeoplebigdreams I was instantly curious so when #NeilArmstrong by #marieisabelsanchezvegara became available I automatically requested it. #Space is on of my favourite topics to teach. The children love it. This book is excellent and I’m excited to add it my resources. The illustrations are superb - very quirky and I will enjoy talking the children through the style. The information at the back will be great for my visual learners too - a timeline ans historical photos. I’m excited to explore the rest of the series. Thank you to #netgalley for gifting me an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Neil Armstrong is the newest lead in this latest edition of the Little People, BIG DREAMS series by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. This series is such a delight and the perfect way to educate not just kids but everyone about historic and cultural icons.

Neil Armstrong was a an American astronaut and aeronautical engineer, and the first person to walk on the Moon. This book follows Armstrong as he fights in the Korean War to being launched on Apollo 11 and being the first person to step on the Moon.

Christophe Jacques illustrates this installment and does a fantastic job. Jacques' art style was so captivating and his art definitely further helped tell von Armstrong's story. I love collecting these books and am so thrilled to add this one to the rest of my collection.

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

Another great addition to the Little People, Big Dreams collection.
Thank-you to Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara, Quarto Publishing Group, Frances Lincoln Children’s Books and NetGalley.

Most people know the famous Neil Armstrong. But not many know the struggles he had getting to where he did. The author highlights Neil Armstrong’s journey to success. This lovely little book which absolutely amazing illustrations, great for any child or adult who is really into space and wants to learn about the man who walked on the moon.

What an amazing tribute to a young boy who believed that the impossible can become a reality - he just needed to take one small step!

Thank you so7ch Netgalley for the advanced copy in exchange for honest opinion!

Another brilliant addition as usual! Neil Armstrong is a well-known figure all over the world. After all, stepping on Moon as the first person on earth can happen only once. But there's so much more to his story, so much left to be discussed. It covers his childhood interests as well as his life after the famous expedition. Do you know he wanted to be a pilot when he was young? Or that he participated in the Korean War? I had no clue! The illustrations were also lovely. Recommended!

A trip to an air show with his father sparked Neil Armstrong’s dream of flying. May we never underestimate the power of a field trip or family outing! In fact, Neil was so into realizing his dream that he had his pilot’s license before his driving license!

As you read, you’ll notice that not everything was straightforward in Neil’s life. Many times his ‘mission’ got off course and he learned to roll with the punches, re-aim and carry on. This is something that should be discussed with our young people. Not all dreams are realized by travelling from point A to point B - sometimes, we get blown off course and take side roads to get us back on the main street again. Too many children and teens are allowing disappointment to derail them because they have a rose tinted view of how success works. Congratulations to the author for highlighting Neil Armstrong’s journey to success.

I love that this dreamer’s footprints are still on the moon! What an amazing tribute to a young boy who believed that the impossible can become a reality - he just needed to take one small step!

The moon is ours if we are committed to the dream and have promised to enjoy the journey.

Congratulations to Christophe Jacques for his stylish, engaging, detailed and quirky illustrations. My niece and nephew pondered over them for ages.

I was gifted this advance copy by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara, Quarto Publishing Group, Frances Lincoln Children’s Books and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

This is an interesting children's book from the Little People, Big Dreams series, which I really enjoyed reading. It is all about Neil Armstrong, and his life from when he was young until he died. He loved aeroplanes from when he was a young child, and when he was 16, he got his pilots license. He studied aeronautical engineering and he was in the navy, and after some time at war, he joined NASA and flew to the moon.

The book has lovely illustrations and the text is easy to read, so young children will enjoy it. It is a good book, which would be great to have in a school library.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

I love the Little People Big Dreams series and Neil Armstrong is another great addition. I love reading these books with my kids and educating them on influential and important people in history. I also love that they get to learn about many different career paths aside from just learning about the person.

I love all these books I think the range of profiles they produce is brilliant there is one to capture the imagination of every child, they are wide ranging to appeal to wide audience of both little people and big people.

The Neil Armstrong one is great edition, as you would expect with those books it has great art work, interesting facts, a deeper more factual timeline, a mini biography, directions to find more information. All of which is presented in a way that appeals to children from 2/3 to big children 90+. They are educationally without feeling like they are, which I feel makes them that little bit special. Neil Armstrong is not one I’d rush to read but the book is as wonderful as any of the others, it just a personal choice of the icon profiled. My favourites are the recently publishing Florence Nightingale and the classic Emily Pankhurst -I incite this meeting to rebellion-

I love theses books, I have bought many for gifts for children and adults they are always a hit I have been given them as gifts and they are beautiful edition to my bookshelf.

This edition is everything you expect and more…great for encouraging all manners of chat to inspire and enchant little minds
