Supposed to be a new take on snow white but really it didn't have much in common. The dwarves are here but they aren't dwarves. I don't even know why the villain was against her. For power? Also I didn't realize that this was a dirty book lol. While things weren't that clear I did like it and it's a quick read.
Not sure if she's working on a second book but it'll be a beauty and beast stpry

Another fairy tale retelling. I must admit, I don't think I'll remember much about it. It's not supposed to be a young adult book, but it did kind of feel like that at parts. I can think of a lot of comparable stories that have come out recently, but I cannot remember any of their titles, but you probably know what I mean just due to the vibe.

I loved this retelling of Snow White with a LGBTQIA twist. Also Azura's badness intermingled with Snow's goodness and we have a match made in the forest. I loved this and wished this was a series.

It was really not my thing I had a hard time getting through it because of how bored I got and eventually DNFed at 60%.
The sapphic romance could have been way more interesting especially since its a retelling of snow white and I'm always tuned in for sapphic retellings of fairytales. It could've been so much better but instead it ended up being kind of disappointing and flat with a whole weird love (or lust) at first sight type of situation. Also both the main characters were so annoying and dislikeable and lacked depth.
Thanks Netgalley for the ARC !

The story had so much potential but sadly the whole thing felt a little rushed. The characters were too bland and the ending was confusing and too fast. The middle of the book felt unnecessary long and then the ending was too short and rushed. I really wanted to like it but it was lacking too much for me, the characters needed more depth and the story needed a little more too. But we‘ll see how the second book in this series will be, there is room for improvement.

Thank you NetGalley and Rose and Star Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
DNF at 40%. I'm really sorry to have to stop reading this book but it's not really for me.
Snow white is a sapphic retelling of the fairytale. The chapters are told in first person by the two protagonists Snow and Azura.
The main problem for me of the book is the female figures.
Azura should be the "villain" of the story but from the first moment she falters and gets caught up in emotions (mostly from the attraction to Snow).
Snow, on the other hand, is full of insecurities that are marked beyond belief making her annoying and petulant.
“So begins the end of Snow White.”
The premises for an interesting plot are there, a shame precisely for how the protagonists were conceived.
In addition, many things are not properly explained (for what I have read) and it is not the fault of the length of the book because I have read shorter and more complete ones.
However, I am sure that others will appreciate much more than me! The plot is nice and entertaining.

All these retelling of fairy tales is so good and to see them all in different versions is great creativity.
This one is no exception, i read this in one afternoon i could not put it down.

Great premise! I was really excited to read this one. Sadly it dragged a bit in the middle and then the ending felt rushed. Loved the characters though. Will definitely give the next in the series a try.

I couldn't put it down. All the original story elements were refered at some point, but it felt so refreshing. Also, a perfect pride month read. It's so much fun and a satisfying and adorable read. I love the way that the different ideas and characters were woven together in a world where magic actually has to be balanced out with consequences. I'm really looking forward for the next book.

What happens if the Evil Queen and Snow White fell in love? read the book and you will find out.
Not the sort of book I would usually read however I was looking for something and found it in the retelling of the fairytale Snow-white enjoyable and I was rooting for them to get a happy ended, did they ? that would be telling again read the book.
Highly recommended

The first book in the series and it did its job getting me hooked on this world and the characters. A fairytale retelling of Snow White with characters from various fairy tales. Looking forward to see what follows.

Big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, I think that was fun. I had a few issues but not enough to detract from the book as a whole. I think this would a good addition to a collection that had similar titles.

It took me way too long to finish this book considering how good it actually was.
It is a retelling of a Snow White with a LGTBQ+ representation - I was totally not prepared for that!
Azura is determinate to become a new wife of Snow White's father, the king. What she did not take for account is how she will be attracted to Snow White.
The story is great! the characters are great. It was very interesting to read. My huge problem was Snow White. I absolutely cannot stand whiny characters and OMG! she was sooo annoying! But if you don't mind it than you will love this story!
It is also the first time where I enjoyed FF romance. Huge plus for that.

I wasn't sure how I was going to take to this book but I loved everything about it the cover the story the characters so for me, it is a 5-star book I am hoping it is part of a series. The story flowed beautifully , so I thank Jeanette Rose & Alice Callisto for creating this book and to netgalley for allowing me to review it.

I received this e-book from NetGalley.
Snow White is the first book of the "Ever After" series and it is truly a retelling gone wrong.
The main characters of this story are Snow White and Lady Azura...read about their magical(?) adventure (in this Dual POV) as they meet in Snow White's home, where Azura has the chance of a lifetime to become the next Queen. Is she in it for love? Obviously no! Is she in it for power? I mean, yes! Did I care about these two girls? No...oh no, I didn't, but perhaps the other characters were better, right? Well, just no! Whether it was Belle, Eric or the King I just wanted the story to end.
The main relationship (sort of) was just not well written. Give me some romance, I need real communication between these girls, not mainly bed scenes. As a reader I want to know more about their love story, give me the ups and downs, make me cry, laugh, love (or even like) them, not mainly some whiny, lustful thoughts and scenes with lack of depth.
This is a fast-paced story with practically no worldbuilding and the plot itself picks up around the end.
I was just glad I laid my eyes on the last word of the epilogue...that it was finally over!

I wanted to like this book, but sadly I couldn't. I'm a huge fan of fairytale retellings, but this one fell kind of flat. The plot was all over the place. Azura was supposed to be "evil", but didn't come across evil at all. There was a lot of loose ends that weren't resolved. This was just not the book for me.
Thank you to Rose & Star Publishing and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Unlike those born as Vessels for Elemental spirits, Azura is forced to practice Dark Magic, her powers fueled by the remains of supernatural creatures. To fuel the dark spells, she needs, she will need to marry into a Royal Bloodline. Born as the Vessel of the Ice Elemental, Snow White has always been kept apart from those around her. When her father announces he intends to invite all the eligible ladies and princesses from the surrounding kingdoms in the hopes of finding a new wife, Snow’s tender heart races with excitement. Yet, something is lurking in the forest just out of sight, about to tear them apart…forever.
This book was an interesting Snow-White retelling that had some interesting twists on the original story. I loved the main couple, and I liked the magic. The multiple point of views was a great touch. Otherwise, I was a bit disappointed with this one. I was expecting more than just a romance plot and instead this book’s whole purpose felt like it was just there for the spice. I like plot with my spice, and this just wasn’t it. The book was too fast paced, to the point it felt rushed. I thought this book had a great idea; it just could have been better executed in some ways.

I have always a huge fan of fairytale retellings, and I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the genre. I loved everything about this book- the story, the spice, the characters. Azura and Snow are a lot of fun, and it was great watching them fall for and finally succumb to each other. My only complaint is the ending, which was a bit lackluster and rushed for me. I felt more could have been done with it, and the potential for greatness is definitely there.

I wanted to love this book but I couldn’t.
The storyline was all over the place, nothing was explained well, there was no time for relationships to show growth it just jumped into physical relationships to quickly.
Azura was supposed to be evil, that’s what she kept saying. But instead of showing her doing truly evil things she had a heart and feelings in chapter one. She should have been nasty and heartless and EVENTUALLY changed for snow. It seems like she turned good almost instantly.
She was also way to nice to be considered evil.
Then there’s the fact that there were so many loose ends or things thrown in the story I’m assuming to make it more interesting but it just felt like too much crammed into the book. Nothing was properly explained.
Overall I sadly did not enjoy this books and honestly found it hard to read. If this is your favourite book or you love it, I’m happy for you. This just wasn’t case for me.
This book was an e-ARC given to me by the publishers and NetGalley for an honest review.

This reads much more like Disney fanfiction than a novel, and the quality/style of the writing matches that much more than something you would find in an edited, polished novel. It was an interesting premise, but the execution fell very flat.
I won't be reading any of the other books in the series. There's just too many good books out there that I would rather give my time and attention to.
