Excellent read, loved the characters, the plot, the comfort factor. Definitely recommend this book. It had twists and turns which kept you engaged in reading.

I have read this advanced copy in August so not entirely in the Christmas spirit but actually the snowy theme is an aside to the main plotlines so it wasn't at all an issue - worth noting if you too aren't really wanting a Christmas read but want a fabulous read about Scotland, wonder dogs, a break-up, a pregnancy and a very beautiful slow-burn romance.
I adored everything about this book, detested the clear villain of the story, and very much enjoyed returning to Glentorrin and catching up with the residents there. Although this is part of a series, you can absolutely read this standalone as all character info and backstory detail is provided.
Beautiful storytelling as always from Lisa Hobman and a truly uplifting, "chase your dreams" book, I highly recommend

An absolute delight to read! I instantly loved Millie and was so invested in her story.
I stayed up way too late to finish this as I was absolutely invested in what would happen to Millie and her baby. It was heart warming, cozy and and proper page Turner.
Right to the end I was utterly gripped wondering if she would get her family and happy ever after.
A fabulous winter read!

Loved it!
Nice to be back in Glentorrin, on the Isle of Skye this time with Millie's story. Of course the whole gang is back but "Together Under a Snowy Skye" is about Millie and her life.

Millie is in Glentorrin for the wedding of her best friend Jules. Millie needs her best friend right now being that she is pregnant and her boyfriend back in London wants nothing to do with the baby. Millie finds that being in Glentorrin is good for her well being.

This is my third book by Lisa Hobman and I find myself enjoying each book. The author has a way of keeping your interest and next thing you know the book is done. I can't wait for her next book in the series (at least I hope there will be a next book) because I really love the way the author writes a clean, wholesome book.

I highly recommend this book and check out her other Isle of Skye books. You won't be disappointed!

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood books for an advanced digital copy for an honest review. These are my words and my words only

This is an absolutely delightful book. The seasonal descriptions are beautiful and at times it was so moving it made me cry. Millie is a great heroine, and the rest of the characters are people I’d like to meet in the pub ( apart from Harry). I highly recommend this book!

A lovely Heartwarming winter romance.

I love that this book isn’t necessarily all about romance. It’s about acceptance , friendship and family.

Millie has found Harry who idolises her the trouble is he wants her all to himself and when he finds out she’s pregnant instead of delighted he suggests she terminates it. Millie decides to proceed to the pregnancy even if it means being a single mum. Eight months later she finds herself on Skye heavily pregnant for her best friends wedding staying with her best friends brother the one man she’s always loved.

Dex is sweet and loving and the opposite of Harry but she has a decision to make for her and her baby.

I absolutely love Nigel the wonder dog too he’s a great wee addition to the story.

A truly heartwarming read with the lovely bits so lovely you read them twice!

Loved reading this book, I didn't want to put it down. Full of emotions, friendship, love, loss, family, new love, and ending with families. The very first page with fantastic characters and the descriptions of the setting on the Isle of Skye, all wonderful. Highly recommend this 5 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

I think this is Lisa Hobman’s best book.

Millie travels to Glentorrin for her best friend Juliette’s wedding, which has come at the right time as things have taken an unexpected turn in her relationship.

It was lovely being back in Glentorrin, and Christmas was the perfect setting for the story.

I loved Nigel, cute and clever. The inhabitants in Glentorrin are close to each and also protective. It was nice to see what the other character's have been doing since the last time we met them.

It was beautifully written, kept me turning the pages to see what happens next, with surprises along the way.

I highly recommend this book.

Millie finds out that she is pregnant and is overjoyed, her fiancé Harry is horrified and wants her to end the pregnancy. Knowing there is no way either of them will change their mind she packs her things and goes to her friend Jules's old house to stay until Jules's wedding in Skye on Christmas Eve
As she gets closer to Dex again (who she used to have a crush on) Harry shows his face again and declares he wants them to try again
Will Millie make the right decision ?
Absolutely loved it

Such a lovely, sweet story! This book kept me hooked so that I couldn’t put it down, and ended up going to bed a lot later than planned. It is a clean romance with strong friendship themes. I loved all the characters, and get the impression it may be one of a series about the same group of friends (here’s hoping) but is fully standalone. I really enjoyed this read.

Another brilliant read from Lisa Hobman. I love the setting of Skye and this book mentioned characters from her other books which was lovely. A heartwarming story as usual, nice Christmassy feel to it. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Together Under a Snowy Skye
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Romance
Format: Kindle eBook
Date Published: 8/24/22
Author: Lisa Hobman
Publisher: Boldwood Books
Goodreads Rating: 4.83

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Boldwood Books and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

Synopsis: Millie presents her fiancé with a surprise birthday gift, and their future is suddenly doomed. Eight months later Millie returns to Glentorrin on the Isle of Skye for her best friend Jules' Christmas wedding. Heartbroken, single and heavily pregnant. Staying in Lifeboat Cottage with Jules' brother, kindhearted Dexter, she's given up on love and resigned herself to be the best single Mum ever.
But a shock phone call from Harry leaves her reeling and doubting herself and her decisions. Do second chances work? Or is Dexter, right? That she deserves much more?

My Thoughts: The story is narrated by Millie, in her perspective. This was such a cute winter read that I loved reading. I have not read anything my Lisa Hobman yet but she will always be on my TBR radar. This is set in the dead of winter during Christmas time and you deeply felt all of the festive emotions that go along with the Holidays. I absolutely adored Millie and really disliked Harry and could not believe his attitude, I will leave at that to not give anything away. The characters were well developed with depth, emotion, creative, connective, and uniquely written. The author’s writing style was complex, heartwarming, swoony, and kept me captivated from cover to cover. This was the perfect romance book that starts with building of the characters with their backstories, then the plot in its romantic ties and slight twists, then when everything comes together for a happy ending, it just makes the kickoff to the holiday book season very sweet. This book releases later this month and I would recommend that you preorder.

Together Under a Snowy Skye

I loved how the book was written and the way the story was set, it has a comforting winter / Christmassy feel to it and the chapters were a good length so it made me want to keep reading! I devoured this in 24 hours. A wonderful Christmas themed romance.
I absolutely adored this! I know it’s wintery and I’ve read it in August but I did not want it to finish at all.

Millie and Harry have an amazing relationship, until Millie falls pregnant. Harry wants nothing to do with a baby. Millie decided to go it alone as this could be her one chance at having a baby of her own.
Milieus best friend Jules is getting married so she goes to stay with Dex, Jules brother and one of Millie’s best friend. They cherish each other and Dex will do anything for Millie and her unborn baby.
Well, Dex is the most amazing guy character, warm, friendly and just absolutely delightful. He is a dream friend and someone you’d be happy for your friends to get together with.
From very early in the book I wanted Millie and Dex together soo badly. Their friendship really warmed me and you could feel the love between them while you read.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!! Such a lovely, warm story with plenty of wonderful emotions, I cried many happy tears and my favourite band is The Darkness too, so the ending was pretty perfect for me, also to return to Skye at Christmas was the cherry on top

⛄❄🐕Choice town to offer refuge to a lonely mum-to-be: just perfect😍

Lovely story with a heartwarming ending. Lisa Hobman has created a whole town full of characters that would just make the best friends. I love her series of Scotland-set novels that focus on second chance romance and building families and friendships. For me, this was one of if not the best in the series.

Heartbroken single and very pregnant Millie comes to a village on the Scottish Isle of Skye to celebrate the Christmas wedding of her long-time BFF Jules and reunites with a set of friends and a very protective man who once secretly and unknowingly held her heart. The locals rally round while she considers where life will take her and the baby after the birth. Her baby's biological father, Millie's former fiance, is a really selfish piece of work who rejected her pregnancy, cut her off, and suddenly wants to reconnect. Why? And why now?

The romance is subtle but poignant, the snowy Christmas-decorated setting exudes holiday vibes, and the ensemble of local characters (including an adorable and perceptive dog named Nigel) made this novel a cozy joy to devour post haste.

I loved the book and heartily recommend it.

Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

When Millie finds her self unexpectedly expecting and suddenly alone she thinks she'll never find someone who'll love her and the baby she's carrying.
She travels to the fictional Glentorrin in the Isle of Skye for her best friend Jules and Reid's wedding.
Millie stays with Dexter, Jules brother, and her long time friend, Now Dexter is a 10, he cooks, he's thoughtful, a gentleman and I think I may have a fiction crush on him, but... (no spoiler here)
What a great cast of characters, the hatred I felt for that 'barstool' Harry is equally matched with the love for all the other characters including the dogs!

One of the funniest lines I have read in a book in a while was
"Hey I think if I was trying to push a watermelon through a keyhole, I might get a bit sweary too."
This sweet novel had me chuckling in some instances and then on the opposite side, the wedding and birth had me 'greetin' like a bairn'. I loved the Scottish expressions, mentions of mulled wine, ceilidhs and haggis and the familiar places I never realised I missed.

If you like
Miscommunication
Love at first sight
Friends to lovers
Families then this is the perfect book for you.
Thank you to netgalley and boldwood books for the arc in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Millie has a shock announcement but fiancée Harry doesn't feel the same way as her.

Millie bundles herself up to familiar Glentorrin in preparation for Jules support and upcoming nuptials.

Perfect to cosy up with during these upcoming nights.
