ARC BOOK REVIEW
A Little Wilder
By Serena Bell

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Publishing Date: 7/19/2022

Marigold ( Mari) Finds her self pregnant after an AWESOME one night stand in Vegas, but she doesn't know who the father is- doesn't even know his name. She renovates and designs  campers for a living and pregnancy wasn't in her plan. Because of her "on the go" lifestyle, Mari is considering adoption. After all, she has no idea how to contact the father of her child. So you can image the SHOCK she feels when she arrives to a new renovation and design job, to find that she was hired by the brother of her vegas hookup, Kane Wilder....who is also standing right in front of her.

This was my first read by Serena Bell and it was ADORABLE! It was a quick read and I devoured it.. I loved the pace- it kept my attention the entire time and I didn't want to stop.  The moments between Mari and Kane were...* chefs kiss* and the spice was GOOD! ( lets talk about that camper scene after Kane came in from the rain, huh?)

This is actually #4 in the Wilder Family series and the other 3 instantly were added to my TBR.

Make sure you snag this one in July!

Thank you to @netgalley and Thanks @serenabellbooks for such a cute read !

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐬.

That is true up until the moment you learn you are pregnant. So you really can't keep it a secret. You might, I suppose, but that's not the situation here.

If you haven't read the other books in the Wilder Adventures series before this one, I highly recommend doing so. This is the fourth book in the series. Marigold Barrymore is, in Kane's words, some kind of fairy, and Kane Wilder is literally a golden retriever boy.

Kane is not the type of person to have an one-night stand. He is the kind of guy that plans for the future and wants to start a family. But sadly, none of the women he dated shared his desires, and as a result, they ended their relationships with him. So, he did something out of the ordinary when he traveled to Vegas for his brother's bachelor party. Which happens to be a one-night stand. And ever since, he has been plagued by thoughts of this lovely redhead.

Kane has been a constant thought for Mari as well. Especially when she learns that she is pregnant. The only tiny issue is that because they never anticipated seeing each other again, they did not exchange names that evening, so she is unsure of how to get in touch with Kane. She makes an effort to look him up without his name, but it is unsuccessful.

But it isn't until Mari visits Rush Creek to assist the Wilder family business that they actually run into one another. In the span of three weeks, they have a lot to work out. Will Kane be able to persuade Mari to stay so that, if she agrees, they can raise this child together? The Wilder Brothers are known for persuading the girls they adore to stay in Rush Creek. Spoiler Alert: the answer is yes because he wouldn’t be a Wilder if he couldn’t make her stay.

Oh my god, Kane is so understanding!?!? Where the fuck do I find someone like this in real life? They truly looked out for one another. Mari made Kane understand that he could genuinely make a living from his photography and that his family would support him in doing so. Kane made Mari understand that she does not need to always be on the go. Just because her mother could never settle down, doesn’t mean Mari is going to be the same way.

I just want a man to stare at me with such warmth in his eyes like Kane does with Mari when a baby is in her arms.

I never thought I would say this but I found this romance a little too cheesy for me. if you love the cheese this is for you. I love a surprise pregnancy especially when it is a vegas surprise pregnancy.

Mari and Kane had what should have been a one-night stand which has turned into more. They have a baby to think about.

Mari wants to travel and be forced to stay in one place. Kane wants a family and a wife. They both have feelings for each other.

Thi history was uncomplicated with no real struggle other than how and where they would raise the baby. Each member of the family has a persona that I wasn't a fan of or that they kept using Wilder as a verb

If you like a cliche softy romance then this is for you

I absolutely DEVOURED this book- I’m talking less than 24 hours from start to finish!

This is my first Serena Bell read, but it’s safe to say I’ll be ordering the whole Wilder collection.

A Little Wilder is warm and fuzzy and I couldn’t put it down.

Kane is one part of a big, wholesome family. He works full time at their family’s business and can’t imagine his life any different- until Marigold turns up and upends his whole life.

Marigold is a wanderer. She lives in her airstream and flies to the beat of her own wings. That is, until a truly memorable night in Vegas leaves her pregnant and terrified.

In this small town romance, love truly conquers all if you can allow yourself to feel it and believe you deserve it.

I absolutely loved this book. It's part of a series, but can be red alone. Such a fun romantic comedy. I couldn't put it down. Absolutely recommend.

I really enjoyed this book! I read the entire thing in about 3.5 hours, so it's safe to say I literally inhaled it. I absolutely adore Mari and Kane.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love Pregnancy trope, but this book did a few things differently with it which I actually really enjoyed!
This was my first book in the series that I read, and I was absolutely DELIGHTED to find out it was set in Central Oregon, since I'm from Bend! I loved all the little PNW mentions.
Mari was a really different protagonist from a lot of the ones I've read, especially with accidental pregnancy books, because she's really struggling in her decision to become a mother because of her own upbringing. I loved that she was really thoughtful and thought things through before making a decision.
And Kane!! If a man made me breakfast every morning and gave me foot massages, I too would be melting. He's so caring and just wants to take care of everyone, and he was always so sweet with Mari. I loved their relationship, even as they were going from strangers who had a one-night-stand into something more.
I really really loved that there was no third act breakup, and minimal angst in this book also. There was a point of contention, but how both MCs handled it was so lovely and you could just really see that even through their fears they both cared for each other enough to fight for their futures. I loved that.

First and foremost, I’d like to thank NetGalley and Serena Bell for approving my 1st ever ARC. This is the first book I read from Serena Bell and after reading this. I’ll be binging this series. It’s SO lovely.
A Little Wilder is 4th in Wilder Adventures, but can be read as a standalone which is how I read it.
Kane is the 5th of the Wilder Siblings. And he’s resigned himself as the boy-next-door. He is there to solve every kind of problem. He can repair anything. Ex’s parents need someone to patch up the bathroom, he is there. But no one really sees him. Kane helps his family run their Wilder Adventure business in Rush Creek, despite being an amazing photographer.
Marigold has been a wanderer her whole life. Travelling with her mother all through the country and living out of an RV. Marigold has been there for herself all her life. When her mother leaves her to pursue her own dreams, Marigold is taken by her Aunt and after turning 18, she has also been living her life just like her mother. On the road and redesigning RVs for a living.
One hot and amazing night at Vegas on Kane’s Brother’s wedding has left them both discombobulated. They both left without any exchange of valid info and wanting more. Marigold ends up confused and pregnant. Kane is still under the spell of the pixie and is pining for her. By sheer luck, they both meet again and Marigold has a Big Surprise for Kane.
I loved this book SO much. Kane is such a sweetheart and looks like my new Book BoyFriend. :D Marigold is a headstrong woman. She knows what she wants in her life. I loved how they both had strong feeling for each other.

Things I LOVED:

• The thing I LOVED the most was that it had a role-reversal of sorts. The FMC is a wanderer and doesn’t wanna settle anywhere. And the MMC is settled in his home town and can’t leave because of his family business.
• Kane is such a softie and he fumbles while talking a lot. He is so bowled over by Marigold that it takes him some time to have some confidence to talk to her.
• Marigold is not behind in having feelings for Kane. She helps him see his true self. Recognize his passion. Remembers his coffee order and brings it to him.
• Kane telling Mari that she’s BRILLIANT after giving birth. :D
• The camaraderie between the entire family. How much they all supported and loved each other and were there for Marigold from the start.
• Kane and Marigold’s strong physical and emotional bonding.
• The amazing places Mari took Kane for sightseeing. The Sluice Box and black Magic Canyon. I saw the pictures and these are some amazing sights.
• The MAGICAL baby-in-the-tummy and Daddy’s bonding scene. I LOVE such scenes and the one in this book was one of the good ones.

If you love small town Romantic Comedies then this is definitely for you.

RV/Airstream renovator Mari has been spending time in California, staying with family friends in their garage apartment. After finding out that her one night of passion in Las Vegas seven months ago resulted in her falling pregnant she has been looking at her options. Having lived a life on the road with her mom and ravelling for renovation projects she wonders whether adoption might be the best option. Although she has been procrastinating over the decision as she attempts to find the dad.

Kane has always been the guy-next-doo and the peacemaker within his large family. As he makes his way over to the family HQ after his break-up with Veronica he is thrown into solving a pizza-related argument. Getting called over to see his brother Clark he is shocked when he finds that he hired the girl from Las Vegas as the Airstream designer for Wilder Adventures - even more so when he discovers she is pregnant with his baby.

Giving themselves three weeks before decisions concerning the baby are made, Kane wishes to show Mari that he would be able to look after the baby instead of opting for adoption. However, he’d prefer to do it together as he never forgot their night together. Dealing with ingrained mom issues Mari questions her nurturing abilities to look after a baby and the prospect of staying in one place. Can they ever make this work between them?

A Little Wilder was such a sweet, delightful book. This book follows Kane, the consummate good guy, after he finds out that his Vegas one-night stand, Mari, is not only renovating RVs for the family company… she’s also pregnant with his child.

I really enjoyed the sweet romance between Kane and Mari, though I wish Bell had allowed them more time to work through their feelings and grow together. That said, it’s quickly evident that they’re perfect together. I love how they encouraged, challenged, and steadied each other.

I also loved the Wilder family and the American West setting. While this was my first Serena Bell book, I don’t think it will be my last.

Thank you to NetGalley for an early review copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Sometimes you see a cute cove and a blurb and you think why not. So I picked up and read A Little Wilder. It is number four in the Wilder Adventure series and by a new to me author. As the story begins Marigold Barrymore is seven months pregnant. It was the result of a one night stand in Vegas with a guy Mari can’t get out of her head. Mari is a interior designer for airstream trailers and she travels from job to job. Her latest job brings her to design six trailers for a glamping experience in Oregon. And much to her surprise she was hired by the brother of her baby’s dad. Kane Wilder is a good guy. He’s always been the peace maker in the family or thought of as the boy next door. He is stunned and thrilled to see Mari again.

This is a cute small town romance without big angst. Yes the pregnancy is a factor in the story but it is really two people discovering each other and bringing out the best. She’s never had roots and lives life on the road. Kane works in his family business but it isn’t always what he loves. Together they bring out the best in each other. I haven’t read others in this series but his family is so wonderfully loving and embracing I will keep my eye out for others in the series. I enjoyed the lightness of the story and I read it easily in a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. Thank you to NetGalley, Author Collective 20 and the author for an ARC in exchange for a review. This book is by far my favorite Wilder book to date! Kane is just so sweet and Mari is the tough cookie who is all gooey on the inside. Their chemistry is *chef's kiss* SO GOOD.

Kane acts completely out of character during a drunken night in Vegas and the results are... complex. Mari also acted impulsively, and now she's pregnant. Kane has always wanted a wife and a family - somewhere to settle down and plant roots. Mari feels the complete opposite. But the one thing they can agree on? Giving their baby the best life possible.

This was such a sweet and fun story - I love the Wilder Family! Thank you so NetGalley and Author Collective 20, Jelsba Media Group for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Normally I’m a sucker for an accidental pregnancy. I just had a hard time staying entertained with this one for some reason. It started off strong and then didn’t hold my interest. I did finish it though.
Mari is pregnant from a one night stand in Las Vegas and doesn’t feel she’s cut out to be a mom. So she’s been looking at adoption sites to find her baby a good home, but none of them seem good enough. Good thing her next project leads her to the one who helped put her in this position…

Marygold would have never thought that her future would have led her to Rush Creek, Kane would have never imagined wanting more than his job at his family company, that his hobby could be more than that. He had never hoped to want before her. Three weeks is the time he has asked her. Three weeks to show her that there is a chance for them.

You'd be a fool if you let the pregnancy trope discourage you from reading this book. A Little Wilder may seem solely about that but it's so much more. It's about finding yourself and having the courage to admit your fears and realise that the path to happiness leads out of your comfort zone.
If I wake up tomorrow and suddenly change my life, I know it'll be thanks to this book.

I absolutely adore how apparently they seem like totally wrong for one another. The boy-next-door with someone who wants to live her life on the road? Not a good fit. Except they are. They bring the good in each other, which is what love ultimately should do. Never did they try to "bring" the other to their side and try to make them change their ways. I love how that was never even thought of.

It was never acceptable. Kane has never tried to tame Mary. He wants her to be 100% sure about her decision. Three weeks may seem a short time to make a life-changing decision but when you find someone that shows you that what you've always wanted? It was within reach.

I love how their life together is the result of compromise. How they fully come into themselves thanks to the courage to dream and fight for said dreams that their love provided them.

I also absolutely loved the Wilder family's dynamic. How supportive they are and how they genuinely care about each other.

If you love a small-town romance, big family dynamic, low angst and cute romance that will inspire you, entertain you and make you swoon at the same time then this is the book for you.

SO GOOD! I really loved this book! This is the first book I’ve read from the wilder adventure series. ( I’m not what rock I’ve been living under), but I cannot wait to go back and read the other ones! This was such a sweet, emotional, and charming story. The Wilder family has won my heart over. Serena Bell had a way of writing that makes it impossible to put the book down! This definitely needs to be on your tbr list!

Look for A Little Wilder on July 19, 2022

Thank you to NetGalley for this arc!

I’ve been anticipating the fourth book in the Wilder Adventures series for months, and it didn’t disappoint. I love the Wilder family! Such a fun, welcoming, supportive family.

This book is a one-night-stand-surprise-baby trope. Mari and Kane reconnect 7 months later, although Mari is still not sure what path she wants to take. She planned to give the baby up for adoption when she couldn’t find Kane. Now that they are building a friendship (and maybe more), plans are changing. But can Mari give up life on the road to settle down in a way she never imagined before?

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for A Little Wilder to come out July 19, 2022!
