This was such a sweet romance book. I loved it and will be looking for more books by this author. I loved all the characters and the story lone was great! I would definitely recommend this book.
Carrie and Lucas made a promise to each other that if each is not married when they turn thirty that they will get married. now they have arrived at a wedding and Carrie is a few days from turning thirty and she is wondering if Lucas remembers their promise. A very good story.
Absolutely loved this book!
The writing style was really good and I look forward to reading any other books from this author in the future :)
I literally can't fault this book at all!
I thoroughly enjoyed it right from the start - very easy to read, and I really enjoyed getting to know the characters.
It was only a quick read but I don't think anything was scrimped on at all.
Was a bit predictable but let's be honest, most of these kind of books are, but I still enjoy them.
If you enjoy easy reads, then this is definitely the book for you.
If you enjoy childhood friends to love stories you'll enjoy this one. Carrie and Lucas made a pact as teens that if they were still single when they were 30 years old they'd marry each other. Of course they went their separate ways and didn't think anything about it until they're brought together again as Carrie's 30th birthday approaches. Is it fate that they're reunited at a friend's engagement party?
This is such a sweet story. I liked how Lucas helped Carrie out of her comfort zone and being a cat lover, I really loved Lucas' cat that kept eating Carrie's plants. I liked that little bit of humor that kept things light. This is book #5 in The Wedding Whisperer series but it can stand on its own.
I received a complimentary copy from Hatco Publishing via NetGalley. All thoughts expressed in this review are my own.
The Wedding Promise is a book about friendship and love, it's about learning more about yourself and who you are and how you have become that person through experiences. This book made me think about those things in myself. It was a very sweet romance and how you never know how you will fall in love.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Carrie and Lucas. They have known each other all their lives. Lucas moved. Away 15 years ago. They made a promise if the both weren’t married by the time they were thirty, they would marry each other. They both had some issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
Eh. I didn’t love this I’m afraid. Nice story line, the pact to marry the teen best friend who moved away, and look, suddenly he returns and everything is solved. I think one of the main issues I had was timing being so unrealistic. Carrie makes a new best friend within days of meeting them, she is telling Lucas she loves him within days and yet she’s gone 5 years not speaking to her dad, and then that gets totally fixed within one family dinner… it just rankled a little. In general the story and chatter of the characters just felt a little too contrived for my taste.
A beautiful feel good read by Susan Hatler! This was my first book by her and I absolutely loved it.
The premise was extremely interesting and something that immediately appealed to me. The childhood friendship, reconnect after years and marriage pact made it a cute romance. This will make you smile as the author uses little things to make it more relatable and easier to connect.
Thank you NetGalley and Hatco Publishing for the copy of The Wedding Promise in exchange for my unbiased review.
An inspiring and sweet story about friendship growing into forever love.
Very well-drawn characters. Their emotions, their restlessness was all playing in front of me. Everything was flawless about the book, including the title. A rich, vibrant romance that's a feast for all the senses!
Loved this sweet book. The story was lovely and I enjoyed the characters. The Wedding Promise by Susan Halter was a fantastic, fun beach read that I couldn't put down! Five stars!
A feel good second chance romance. As kids, Carrie and Lucas made a pinky promise to marry age 30 if they were both still single, with their birthday fast approaching fate or is it Lucas throws them back into each other’s path, feelings are reunited and they realise they are all each other ever wanted. Nice story.
Thank you NetGalley, Susan Hatler and Hatco Publishing for the copy of The Wedding Promise. This is my personal review.
This is book number 5 in the Wedding Whisperer series. This series is amazing. I love every word Susan Hatler writes and I can not wait for the next one I am going to read.
Carrie and Lucas have been friends for years and they made a promise that if by the time they turn 30 they would marry each other if they were still single.
That date is fast approaching for them. I love the chemistry between the two of them is heartwarming- touching and everything I want in a romance book.
I really enjoyed this book! It was really sweet, funny, and romantic and I was totally here for it all!
Carrie and Lucas and a promise. But they didn't met for 15 years. Now he's back, but can he remember?
A very cute but also very emotional story with fun and also with many Love.
I enjoyed the beginning love story of Lucas and Carrie. Two persons who know what they want but not how to get it.
Lovely friends and a nice wedding party.
Have fun reading!
As teens, Carrie and Lucas promised to marry each other if they were still single at thirty. Then, life took them in different directions. When they meet again as adults, it doesn't take long for them to slot back into each other's lives. Will these best friends become lovers after all?
This is a sweet, funny, emotional read. I like how Lucas forced Carrie out of her comfort zone and helped her grow.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

An inspiring and sweet story about friendship growing into forever love.
When Carrie is reunited with her childhood neighbor Lucas at a friend’s engagement party, it’s obvious why she—and every other girl in school—had a crush on him growing up. In fact, he’s even more handsome and charming than ever.
With her thirtieth birthday approaching, she recalls their teenage promise to marry if they are both still single—a promise she doesn’t know if he remembers and she still dreams might come true.
From a New York Times bestselling author, don’t miss this sweet reunion of soulmates in THE WEDDING PROMISE.
