The Doomsday Show is a phenomenal environmental thriller from start to finish. Filled to the brim with twists and a captivating plot, this one is sure to keep readers hooked. Things then go from bad to worse when his daughter is kidnapped. Max can't sit back and wait for the FBI to solve the case. He must rescue his daughter and discover who the real assassins are. And he must stop the killings before the outrage and backlash destroy all hopes for a climate-change solution. What will happen to Max's daughter - and all future generations - if he fails?
A gripping read which I couldn't put down. 5*.

It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last as I found it intriguing and gripping.
The author did a good job in mixing climate emergency with the thriller plot and making it work.
Good storytelling, fast paced plot.

An enjoyable book. Max runs a group of performers who sing songs from the musicals but with the lyrics changed to promote the dangers of climate change. During a period of mass demonstrations his daughter is kidnapped. Another group of climate activists start murdering high profile people from a list of worst polluters that Max drew up. Max and the FBI have to stop the murders and save his daughter. It's a fast moving plot and the climate theme doesn't detract from the action.
This is an honest review of a complementary ARC.

Alpert is a fountain of interesting novel ideas that intersect with the news headlines of our time.. This book delves into the climate crisis, and gives it an immediacy hard to convey in nonfiction.
