This is a gorgeous little children's book, which is suitable for babies and toddlers. It is a bright and colourful book, with cute illustrations showing animal characters learning their numbers. There are peep through holes in the book which encourage sensory development. Highly recommended!

Die-cut holes reveal fun details in this delightful series on concepts. Little Mouse and his friends demonstrate the concept within a story. For example, in Numbers, the text encourages the reader to count how many mice are needed to eat a large cheese. Only the numeral is shown, not the word for the numbers 1 through 5, making this better for toddlers than emergent readers. In Shapes, the setting is a mouse birthday party. For the younger crowd, this is very effective and fun, using bright saturated colors and cute mice.

This simple book for toddlers shows mice eating cheese, and encourages the child to count the mice through the course of the book. The colourful illustrations are mainly made of primary colours and the large, simple text is easy to read and predict. This would be a great book to introduce counting and even the concepts of holding a book and listening to reading to very young children. A cute story of using mice to count to five. As the mice are eating the cheese, the cheese begins to get smaller and smaller.

The art work is cute great example for art students the phenomenal basis of water colors in art. The mouse would inspire the younger elementary school art classes. The books continent is only to 5, which helps the preschool student, and ela student when beginning to connect to the English language.

Numbers is a really fun book for children to learn about numbers. The mice are so cute and the illustrations are bright. Easy to read text.

My nearly 4 year old has additional needs and couldn't be less interested in books if he tried but because of how short this book was, and how brightly coloured it was I managed to engage his attention enough for him to listen.
He was just disappointed it stopped at the number 5!

Too young-pitched for this to be a book, it's a tool for getting tiny hands used to the feel of holding books. And it's a perfectly pleasant one, as some mice start to eat some cheese – and then seemingly forget to stop, for by the time we've counted up how many there are the food is indeed all gone. Throughout, small peep-holes through the board pages tease the young audience about what we're seeing and what larks the rodents are up to, which makes this a distinctive item for the intended user. One of four in a small range that I can finally declare a thorough success, having clocked up all four.
