This was a fun book. Kids will like it. The only problem I have is that the author says fire trucks are red. Not in all communities. I wish the author had said fire trucks are usually red but could also be blue or yellow and maybe explain the purpose of different colors. But other than that, this book works well.
Ethan is a smart creative little boy with a HUGE passion for trucks. He has an amazing collection that he loves to tell others about. He explores and delves deeper into the design and application of some of his most favourites.
Ethan takes the reader on an adventure as he explains how his collection of toy trucks are used in the real world with him being the driver as he narrates. How fun is that? He showcases a fire truck, a garbage truck, a pick-up truck, a dump truck, and his all-time favourite... a monster truck, just to name a few.
The illustrations are bright, bold and colourful. The language used to describe the trucks is simple and perfect for a beginning reader to tackle. The author has included a "bonus content" segment in the paperback book which includes finishing the alphabet, tik tak toe, mazes, color & learn and match the numbers.
This is an informative fun book that truck-loving kids will enjoy. I highly recommend "Ethan's Truck Learning Adventures" and look forward to the second book in the series. Vroooooom.... let's do it!
Very cute picture book describing all of the different types of trucks out there. This also is a great way to show how many different trades there are out there.
With a truck-loving kid sharing a name with this book, I was excited to give this one a try. My 4-year-old loves this book and enjoys the pictures and trucks included. There are some fun details included about the use of monster trucks and pickup trucks and tow trucks, for example, but I also think the writing could be varied a bit more. The pictures are fun and kids will enjoy this book!
Ethan is an adorable little guy who has a toy truck collection that he is eager to show off to the reader. Ethan talks about different types of trucks and tells how those trucks are used in the real world. I am an elementary school special education teacher and most of my students love trucks! Because they love trucks, they enjoy looking at books with trucks. I always try to have books that my students will enjoy reading, so this will be a great addition to my classroom library.
This is a colorful, fun book that will likely engage young children and early readers, particularly those who love trucks!
I teach Primary Ks2 Special needs learners. This book has all the attributes:informative, colourful and tailor made for these learners. The story is around trucks and their functions, helping learners to understand the different tasks that trucks carry out. BRAVO!
