Well written and developed characters. Nice pacing to the story. Grabbed me early. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book

An entertaining book, although the plot is pretty cheap. The story is fast sometimes, but with very long and unnecessary descriptions at other times.

Zenobia (“Zen”) is a former explosive ordnance device operator who has been in war zones around the world and is trying to put the trauma and tension of her military service behind her. She is living a quiet life as a truck driver in Australia. But it isn’t so easy to turn over a new leaf. She becomes embroiled in a drug cartel turf war and must use her training and skills to save herself and her loved ones. The action in this novel is non-stop and while it is not my usual genre, I enjoyed it, primarily because of the strong female character.
