This is a good book. The two main characters are Lilah and Todd. Lila owns a coffee shop on the island. Todd is a musician in a band. Their is an instant attraction. Todd wants Liliah, so much and liliah wants Todd. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love and get married.

I was so excited for this book, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations.
*Insta-love is not for me. I wish we had more background as to what happened in the six months they were meeting in the coffee shop because it was confusing.
*I found Todd a little bit stalker-ish in how he handled Lilah. He was constantly giving her orders and yelling at her and she would just whimper. She never found her voice and I wish she had. It was like she had no say in her life at all when she met him.
*The entire book took a weird twist with the stalker woman who is apparently able to take on two large men without resistance, and the rest of the men go and hide.
*The ending with Roman was just odd. What? And then 4 years later? It was just a very strange way to end a book.
What I did like: I loved that Lilah was curvy. We have so very few curvy heroines. I just wish she was a bad-ass instead of a doormat.
3 stars for me because I love a good age gap.
I loved this book! It was sexy and swoony and so good! It was short and the pacing was great - just what I was in the mood for. Will definitely read more from this author!
Todd wants a chance with Lilah but is worried about the age gap. When they look like they have a chance will his stalker ruin everything?
Great read, looking forward to the rest of the series.
Grumpy rockstar vs. sunshiny cafΓ© owner made a fun storyline. Although short, the book was cute and fast-paced. It will make you laugh and leave you with a smile in the end. This was the first time I have read a book by this author, and I would recommend it if you are looking for a short and cute book to read.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Lilah and Todd's story is a little disjointed where we find her struggling with her cafe and he's struggling to come clean about his feelings for her. An insecure aging rockstar is not what we're used to seeing but when she makes the first move he turns into an overly protective alpha. The complete 180 was surprising but then there came a few subplots that seemed to take over but were never resolved. I'm not sure if these were set ups for future stories but it seemed a bit confusing. Had some heat but would have liked more from these two rather than the faster pace the book took.
Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to read this and give my honest opinion.
3.5 stars
A well-written book, age gap, grumpy rock star who decides it is time to settle down.
Todd plans to win Lilahβs heart and take it slow, but he needs to ask her out first. Lilah is the coffee shop owner, struggling to make it work. She has a crush on her customer, Todd, but doesn't know who Todd really is until the local gazette reveals his identity and ruins his plans. You need to read the book, to reveal their story.
This reader enjoyed the book but felt like the ending was rushed.
Thank you to the Author and Author Collective 20 for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
This was my first Olivia Sinclair romance read and it was a delightful surprise!
I love a good age gap romance and this book delivered that in spades. Not only was Todd older, he was also a sexy musician, alpha AF and possessive in all the right ways. In other words, my kind of book boyfriend! Lilah was sweet and adorable and I wanted all the good things for her.
Together Todd and Lilah lit up the page and made this the enjoyable, read in one sitting romance that it is. Iβm giving πππππ£π§ππππ πππ ππ§π¦ the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval and look forward to reading more books by this author. TBR and Enjoy!
This book has a great plot, riveting banter, steamy chemistry, ups and downs, all tied up with a HEA!.
I was struggling to finish this book and left it at about 70% when Lulu came on board. Just got out of prison and stabs Roman within a few minutes of being in the house? Just not realistic; if they knew she was a concern, have some kind of security or 'watch' out for her. And, the continued use of the F-bomb - find some other verb, adverb, adjectives, or interjection to enhance your writing. There are times when F- is entirely appropriate, but not as much as it is used in this book. It, actually, begins to take away from your writing. I do not bashing a book publicly and will not be submitting a public review.
I'm a little torn on this one. I really loved Todd. I also liked Lilah a lot. There was something about the story that bugged me though. First there is an awkward lead up to the romance. It seems to just come out of nowhere. There were several points over the book when things needed to be fleshed out more. The abrupt change from the end of the last chapter to the epilogue was weird. I think it was supposed to be a lead up to a next book but instead it was just out of place. There were also some plotpoints that were never wrapped up. I don't know if this is the authors writing style or just this book but it left me unsatisfied with the read.
Acceptable Limits is an age gap romance about a coffee shop owner and a semi-retired rockstar who live on a small island. Lilah's focus has been on her coffee shop and it is now struggling in the off season, but she certainly has noticed Todd, who comes in daily. He is older, which she decifinitely has an appreciation for, but she has no idea that he is actually a rockstar. Todd is a famous musician, but now lives life quietly on the island, where he used to live when he was a child. He is working up the nerve to ask Lilah out when she puts down his bands music, not knowing who he is really is. A strange twist of events a short time later has her staying at his house, giving him the perfect opportunity to show her just how good they could be together.
I really liked Lilah and Todd as the main characters and I liked them together. I am a big fan of age gap romance. This book does have an insta-love vibe to it, which on the whole isn't my favorite, but the author did a good job with it. This was my first book by this author and overall I was engaged in the story line, but I did feel like some parts of the story could use some further development. I had mixed feelings about some of the scenes involving the other members of the band and couldn't quite grasp what all was going on with them. I also think the book ended somewhat abruptly and without resolution to a major aspect of the book, but then continued on to an epilogue and wrapped up Lilah and Todd's story, so I am not sure if this was done in part for a teaser to a second book in a series or not, but it felt kind of awkward. It was a fairly quick and engaging read if you like age gap romances.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Cute Grumpy/Sunshine read with music/band aspect made it a fun read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing this ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.
He's a grumpy older rock star. She's a small town sunshine girl. Of course they fall in love. :) A shadow from the band's past shows up and threatens their romance.
Love the chemistry between the characters. Lilah is super sweet. Todd is loving and super protective. Love their banter. The rest of the band are great. I love how they care for each other. Terrific book..
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
