I never repeat the blurb. Really enjoyed the first chapters but it wasn't overly clear it was just a sample. Very disappointed in this and I hope Netgalley don't start this.

This was just a sampler, but I am so intrigued to read the rest when its released. The description part of the book sells it to lovers of The Silent Patient, which is a thriller that I gave 5 stars too, so this comparison is very welcome.
Already I get a feel for the main character and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

I really enjoyed the first four chapters of this book. The premise is unique and the writing is great. I was immediately drawn in by the characters - Revelle is already coming across as a very complex and intriguing lead - and was gripped by the storyline. I'm now desperate to read the full novel!

Did not realise this was a sampler. Very intrigued to read the completed novel. The tone of the book was great.

I didn't realise that this was a sampler when i requested. However, from the sample i have listened too im invested in the story. The character Revelle is someone different from the usual book offerings.

I look forward to reading the full book.

A great sampler. The first few chapters and gripping, thrilling and interesting. I wonder what else will happen within the book. How does Sandra play apart?! I think there’s something off with her.

Revelle Lee is in the process of adopting 7 year old Elliott and works as an interpreter. Called to translate court testimonies she is in the eye of many people not just the victims. From the chapters I read I enjoyed this and look forward to reading full book in future.

Hard to tell from a sampler how a whole novel will play out, but Robinson does a great job of setting up her setting and her characters, with a cracking prologue that would probably be enough on its own to make readers stay with her. Very much looking forward to the novel itself.

Very interesting premise, easy writing style - enough for me to want to read the full book, but hard to score. Based on a brief sample I'd say 3.5/5 - could be brilliantc could fall flat. Time will tell.

I clearly did not see the disclaimer that said it was the sample only, however the little I've read from the sampler, I liked it. The writing style and narrator voice was really good and I was intrigued to read more as I wanted to know what will happen next.

This is incredible. I was so angry that it was just a taster because it had me completely engrossed and shooting through it in a matter of minutes as I wanted more!

Cannot wait for the full book.

This will be a book for anyone that likes thrillers and mystery and loves engrossing writing.
