A toxic romance with a stalker millionaire love interest. Christian Harper is an odd mix of a gentleman and complete sociopath but somehow the mix seems to work. While he manages to keep his obsessive tendencies mostly under check he can't seem to help himself around his neighbour, especially when she is in danger.
The plot was relatively decent with no glaring issues or errors and built steadily.
I must admit to slight disappointment when you found out who the "bad guy" was as he'd formerly made little or no impact onto the actual story and I had to look back to see who he actually was.

I finished this book as quickly as I did the others, but the draw for me in this one was fully Stella. She is a great character with some really deserved character development over the course of the book. Her experiences with romance and sexual relationships as well as anxiety and a stalker are really well handled.

I just hate Christian. The other MMC's in this series have had salvageable traits that put their behaviour in a slightly better context. I couldn't get past the fact that Christian just feels like Stella's more controlled, more successful stalker throught the whole book.

I always love Ana Huang’s books. They are the perfect mixture of a romance whilst also delving into the emotional exploration between a couple at the start of their relationship. Yes, it’s steamy and utterly swoony but I enjoy these books because of the character development as well as how the author builds the relationship together.

Finally writing the review to my favourite book in the series!!!

"To everyone whose favorite color is morally gray."

Firstly the dedication omgggg, literally read this one sentence and knew it's going to be the best.

"Touch her for any reason other than to save her life, and you die."

Christian omgggg he was so hot. When he told Stella to get in the car, I was literally like "I'm sat, sir"🤭

"Butterfly?” "Beautiful. Elusive. Hard to catch."

Stella pls I loved her, her character, I relate so much. I didn't think it was long I binged it in one day and couldn't stop.

3.75 🌟

This book was a good book to round out the series.
It was giving me beauty and the beast vibes.

Stella was a lovely relatable character, but also a but gullible and nieve.
Her caring for maura was everything and I may have she'd a tiny tear for her at the end.

Although this book is a slow burn it did have insta love in it too from Christians end and I don't vibe with that much. Although in the book it's played off as insta lust.

The fake dating trope was *chefs kiss* and the way Christian would care for her! Yes.

I think for me it was a bit too busy and that's maybe why I didn't enjoy it as much.

But I am still sad so see this series end.

Christian Harper😍.

I really enjoyed this book. It's the fourth book of the series so it was really nice to get tiny peaks of the other couples and how their lives are going throughout this book and the epilogue.

Maybe my favourite one of the series?

Christian and Stella and their trip to Italy just sounded dreamy.

My only gripe is that things seemed to go too perfectly until they weren't and there wasn't much left of the book for things to resolve itself.

Huang’s writing is addictive in the best way. I love the way she takes romance tropes and flips them on their head. She makes it twisted and more difficult. She makes you want to like the character but also you kind of hate them and it works really well. The story is fast paced and if you like your romance reads with a little extra something to keep it going you’ll probably love Huang’s books. Funny and uncomfortable and a hell of a good reading time.

A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable and varied, the plot is one that is engaging and medium paced. I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.

Felt like a 5 star read but didn’t manage to grip me and took over a month to read because of it.

The characters were fun but felt a little stereotypical like stock characters.

Loved the overall storyline but the stalker plot line was a bit random and felt unnecessary. Would have preferred something else to drive the plot onwards.

Great to be able to read this book without having to read the rest in the series and still understood everything although the ending and epilogue probably would have hit harder if I had read the whole series.

Yea so this was…this was something else. This was the best trashy romance I could ever hope for. It had some crazy sex, some vaguely feminist points and just pure mindless vibes. The plot was absolutely, bewilderingly nonsensical and you know what?? That’s okay. I didn’t expect anything less from this book, so if you’re wanting a deep, unique story, I suggest you keep it moving.

So this story follows the tragic tale of Stella who gets her groove back (jokes but kind of not jokes) who is an influencer. She lives in a high security building where no one can get in due to all this high tech shit, where she starts fake dating her extremely hot landlord/ owner of the building and sexy billionaire, Christian (who is anything but Christian, the naughty boy). They fake date because naturally he loves her from afar, and she needs a boyfriend for her social media so she can reach a million followers and secure a highly sought after brand deal. Amidst this, Stella is being stalked by some psycho.

SPOILER ALERT: 🚨

Sounds brilliant, right?! Listen I never would have read this if I hadn’t been approached by a Publicity Director who sent me the e-book. So a massive thank you to them.

Highlights of this book include:

- Christian blowing up a guy’s car cause he asked him to stop flirting with his date
- Torture of the stalker (kind of fair but also the dialogue was something to behold)
- Christian’s dad being a famed art thief and being shot by the police and then his wife killing herself in an act of desperate love

All this amidst some hot, rampant, devilish FUCKING.

Anyway so you can catch me reading the other three books in the series, which all sound as wonderfully ridiculous as this one.

I have absolutely adored this series and this last one was no different, this was far from your average spicy romance and what I loved about this was that there were a lot of powerful storylines running parallel with the relationships. I loved the couples and the friendship between the girls and am disappointed the series has finished!

Didn’t realise this wasn’t the first book in a series when I requested it. Can’t read a series out of order so won’t be able to review this until I get my hands on the rest

Twisted lies was a story I was really curious about. Since the first apparition of Christian, I was wondering if Ana Huang had planned a spin off about him. And bingo!
It was dark, full of hate, passion and a lot of things.

Christian is the archetype of a security and cyber CEO: mysterious, merciless and with strong opinion on eberything. For me, it was hate at first read. But I was irrepressibly intrigued by his character and his potential evolution.
I appreciated the choice Ana Huang made. She didn't choose the path you might have thought and decided to emancipate herself from some of the codes of the genre.
On the other hand, I instinctively liked the character of Stella a lot. In her own way, she possesses an unsuspected strength and determination to succeed. Stella and Christian, it was like an evidence. You see when everyone but the main characters realize that something is going on? Twisted lies gave me the same feeling.
On the other hand, what I regretted was the fact that the things and the patterns that I reproached to the previous volumes were repeated here too: inconsistencies, characters who are sometimes "a bit too much", and this exacerbated possessiveness.

Nonetheless I really haf a great time and I'm really curious about the other serie!

This was the first time I have read a book in the twisted series but WOW! I will definitely be reading more. The writing style made it such a quick and fun read. The romance was incredible and the book boyfriends were top tier.

I don’t know what it is about this series, but they are absolutely addicting. They’re incredibly hard to put down and I always fly through them (the spicy scenes are an added bonus too!) I absolutely adored the fake dating element to this story, and the slow burn as they both finally accept their feelings.

The love interests in this series are honestly to die for if you can set aside a few morally grey things that they do. There are some definitely questionable motives throughout this series, but I think that adds to the enjoyment of it, you truly never know where the plot is going to go.

I also loved the interconnected lives of the four main girls, so you get to see them and their relationships throughout the novel, along with the links that have brought the four love interests together into a strange but fun group. The scenes with all of them together were my absolute favourites and I’m so glad that we got plenty of them throughout this book.

I really wished we’d gotten to see a bit more of Christian falling for Stella at the start. The book jumps in with him already a bit obsessed with her, and whilst you eventually find out why, it just feels a bit much and is quite hard to accept, especially when you’re just being introduced to him as a character. Considering how long this book was I think there was time for a few more introductory chapters where you see him slowly falling for her rather than just having to accept that he would do anything for her from the first page.

Overall I really enjoyed this one and absolutely flew through it. I would definitely recommend this series as a whole (Twisted Hate was my favourite!) and can’t wait to see what Ana Huang writes next, as I’ll definitely pick it up!

Loved it! I love dual POV chapters, and this was clear and gave a great insight in to the male POV which I love. I haven't read the first three in the series, but this didn't matter. It didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story at all, and I probably will buy those other three on the strength of reading this one. A love the protector angle, and this book did keep me gripped the whole way through. A good read that makes you want to turn the pages. A little too long in some scenes, means it's not quite a five star.

I have been waiting ages for Twisted Lies. Ever since finishing Twisted Hate, I needed to know Christian’s story. I had high expectations for this book and they did not disappoint.
Christian Harper was everything. He’s such a antihero that you can’t help but love. He would do anything for Stella even 🔫 a man!
Stella is my kind of women, every insecurity she had, was ones I had had many times myself. She was so relatable and I loved her character progression throughout the story.
Christian and Stella together are absolutely perfection. We couldn’t have asked for a better couple. They balanced each other, made each other better and stronger versions of themselves.
I loved that as we saw Christian and Stella progress throughout the story, we also saw the other couples going through some changing. That ending was absolutely perfect and even made me shed a happy tear because Alex and Ava had come a long way.
This series has been one of my favourites this year. Alex will be always be my fav but Christian is coming in with a very close 2nd. Sorry Rhys and Josh!
I’m excited for more books from this author.

Even though I had a bit of a slow start and I found some parts a bit repetitive, I did enjoy this novel. I haven’t read the previous three books in the series, but I didn’t have any trouble following the story of the other characters. I liked how Christian and Stella’s relationship was developed and it was not rushed. I liked both characters, their slow-burn relationship, and the development of their character. Stella is a character that took me a bit of surprise. Behind the shy and introvert girl, there was a bolder woman who finds the courage to stand up to her family and follow her dreams. Christian is a morally grey character who takes revenge on his enemies in what is considered illegal and he would anything to protect Stella.

There are a few twists, a couple of on-the-edge-of-my-seat moments, and lots of steamy scenes.I can see and understand the hype behind this series, but I won’t rush to read the other books in the series. All in all, this is an entertaining, sexy, and witty novel, the perfect read for all romance fans!

I wasn't sure what I was going to make of this book, as I hadn't read the other three books and I'm not usually keen on morally grey characters, but I really enjoyed it! Fake dating is one of my favourite trope so I really liked seeing the relationship between Stella and Christian develop.

I did think that the book dragged in the middle and was slightly too long, but it did pick up again towards the end and I was hooked

I'm now tempted to go back and read the other three books as I really liked the glimpses we got into those characters in this book.
