Another great book in the Twisted series.

This one was a very slow burn, much slower than the first three books!

The romance was spot on, the chemistry sizzling, the smut was great but light and there was a lot less of it than in the previous books. This one was a lot more focused on Stella's and Christian's character development.

Stella's relationship with her family was so sad but I loved how it evolved towards the end.

I was also a big fan of Stella's passion, her insecurities and how she overcame them, her dedication to staying true to herself despite the obstacles.

Twisted Lies is definitely a fantastic conclusion to this series, and I absolutely love that everyone was mentioned in the last few chapters, giving them all closure.

My only issue is that the series is a little repetitive, the men always having the same personality and the smut always being the same - dominant man, using the same words etc. I wish it was a little more varied so it didn't seem like all that changes in the four books is the plot and the names.

My ranking of the Twisted books, from most to least favourite:

1. Twisted Games
2. Twisted Hate
3. Twisted Lies
4. Twisted Love

If you’re looking for a fun and sizzling piece of escapism this will be right up your street! Feisty characters, a few mysteries and twists & turns plus a large dose of passion. With just enough spice to raise your heart beat and plenty of sexual tension - a great choice to pack in your holiday suitcase.

Thank you NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for this ARC.

I have seen this series all over TikTok and it's impossible not to. Since then, I have been intrigued by this series and when I read on NetGalley that it could be read as a standalone, I leaped at the chance to read it.

I adored Stella's character, her personality and character development throughout the book and found myself relating to her. However, I wasn't as keen on Christian's character. Whilst I usually enjoy a semi-problematic male lead, I found Christian lacked too many morals and didn't invest in him as a romantic lead.

As I previously mentioned, I have read this is a standalone book and am unsure if the rest of the series provides anymore context for Christian's character and actions..

THIS DESERVES NOTHING LESS THAN 5 STARS HOLY HECK!

Catch me going to binge read the entirety of this series hello. 😍

I don’t think this one was for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good steamy romance and have a terrible soft spot for a problematic male lead, but in this case I found it hard to like any of the characters, particularly Christian.

I haven’t read the rest of the series, so don’t have all the context, but it really seemed like the man was a psychopath being unproblematically presented as a romantic hero. I mean, for one thing, he kills a lot of people - and not for any reason other than that they annoy him. Is that romantic?? So much of this book seemed to celebrate really toxic traits/ relationships and I don’t know, I just thought we were past that.

I just love a morally grey, billionaire, fake dating story and as soon as I saw the tropes for this one I knew I needed to give this books a go and wow I really did enjoy it! This was a really nice conclusion to this series and rounded everything of perfectly for me.

Stella is such an intriguing character, she is a sunshine girl at heart and is such a sweetheart. I loved seeing her grow in herself and finding the confidence she needed to finally stick up for herself and strive for what she wanted! Her character development was just excellent.
And Christian… urgh that man. For when he is hot as sin, a god in the bedroom. Yeah he is messed up and is lacking some morals but who doesn’t love a good morally grey character. It was frustrating at times that he was such a closed book and kept so much personally from Stella but finally seeing him knock down those walls for her was beyond satisfying.
Christian and Stella together was just explosive, I loved watching their relationship build and simmer throughout the book, and once the spice finally kicked in… damn. I was sat fanning myself it was so good. I just loved their relationship and interactions! Also how whipped Christian is for Stella, he is the definition of BOY OBSESSED. He is such a softie for her and she just brings him to his knees. He worships her and I loveeee it!

The plot of this was good as well overall, I especially liked the stalker plot line and how it all came together. It kept you guessing throughout the book and I liked the mystery element to it all.

Overall, a really solid romance read from Ana Huang. I throughly enjoyed this book, it was a fun ride from start to finish.

4 stars.

I read this book as a standalone, so I was completely new to the characters and the world that has been created in the series, and I had no idea what to expect. Luckily, although past events are mentioned, this story holds up very well by itself, and I'm super glad to say that it didn't disappoint!

I adored the central romance between the two protagonists, Christian and Stella, and I thought the pacing was perfect and kept me hooked all the way through. The slowburn aspect, even if it was frustrating (in a good way!) to see the characters be blissfully ignorant of each other's feelings, was done incredibly well. Every character - including the side characters who have had their own stories - were well developed within this story, and it was particularly interesting to read about Stella's goals and aspirations outside of the main relationship itself.

The only thing in this book I wasn't convinced by was the conflict that underpins the whole narrative, as well as the antagonist that appears as a result of this. It was dealt with quickly, which was somewhat unsatisfying considering the amount of buildup there had been to it. That being said, I loved the relationship enough to look past this, especially seeing the aftermath and the ending.

Overall, I was surprised by just how much I enjoyed this book, and I absolutely want to pick up more books by this author!

Christian Harper is obsessed with Stella Alonso, and for good reason. She’s a beautiful, successful influencer who remains down to earth and connected to her three closest friends, all of whom have their own love story in the rest of this series.
After an event with a big company looking for their new brand ambassador results in Christain and Stella joining forces to fake date for mutually beneficial reasons, the two start to realise that their relationship is complicated and not quite pretend.
When Stella begins receiving notes from a stalker who she believed had left her alone years ago, she ends up getting help from the mysterious cyber security expert and gorgeous billionaire Christian. He’s protective of Stella to say the least, and swears to investigate. However, he has secrets of his own and he struggles to open up whilst he slowly begins to discover everything about the woman he wants and needs. What follows is a passionate love story with a definite bad boy protagonist who will do anything to protect Stella.

I love a good fake dating trope, especially one filled with this much sexual tension and the dual perspectives meant that we knew how they were both feeling throughout the story. As the two begin to discover more about each other, they open up and it becomes obvious that they need each other.

This book does come with the warning that Christian is far from perfect and I understand why that was included. If this relationship were real life I would be concerned, but it is fun to get emerged in this make-believe world.

I thoroughly enjoyed this spicy read and would recommend it to any fans of steamy romance with a grumpy / sunshine trope and a bad boy love interest.

well, now I have a new author I adore. This was the fourth book in the twisted series but can be read as a stand-alone. I haven’t read the other books in this series but you bet I am picking them up asap.

I love books like this where the series enter-twine but you can easily read any book in the series without getting confused about the previous books.

Stella is shy with a big social media following but not big enough. She wants to land a six figure deal but needs to get her page to grow more and also get enough money to pay for the care of someone she loves. Christian works in security amongst other things. With these two bumping into each other a plan forms. Christian needs someone on his arms for events and Stella needs her followers to think she has a boyfriend to get her count up and possibly get this brand deal. But, Stella has something in her past that has shown it’s self again after a few years she goes to Christian for safety but, for someone who is quiet dangerous can she trust him? Especially when lies and secrets come out.

I really enjoyed this book. I was instantly hooked and had to keep reading until the end. It was so easy to read and the writing flowed nicely with the story going between both characters. One of my favourite parts of this story is that it didn’t feel rushed. The slow burn, the romance just everything felt so well paced.

Stella just wants to get her brand deal which could also lead to her finally taking a leap and starting a clothing line. Christian is someone that pushes her in the right way and can see her potential even when she can’t and hides from it but, Christian has a past. He’s closed off and doesn’t believe in love. But, something about Stella draws him in. He may be cold and calculated but he’s different with Stella and he doesn’t want to let anything ruin that.

I cannot wait to read more from Ana and more from this series. It was so enjoyable and the slow burn and chemistry was just everything.

I’m really really torn about this one. On the one hand, out of all the female leads Stella is the most relatable in my opinion. She struggles with anxiety, family pressures, shyness to name a couple of things and as such makes for a very realistic female lead. However, I don’t feel this book managed to keep up with the previous instalments. Some of Stella’s decisions and the rationale behind them are extremely frustrating and rather hypocritical. For someone who keeps a lot of secrets, she had no business judging someone else’s.

Christian- his character did feel a little “Christian Grey-ish” in personality but overall I did like him. I loved the way that he took his cues from Stella and always backed her in every decision she made without any judgement. Everything he did, he did to try and make her life better. We stan a supportive partner.

So this one was a mixed bag for me. Enjoyable at times but I felt like I was left a little deflated at the end.

3.5⭐️

They say you don’t need to read the previous three novels in this series to enjoy this book. However, I think you can understand the women’s friendships better if you have. This is the story of Stella and Christian and it’s one of obsession and lies.

I found that I could forgive the massive time jumps because I liked the element of reality they give as well as the resolution.

It’s definitely twisted - all four books are. But this is an enjoyable series that I’m sorry to finish.

Fun, sexy and addictive.

Oh my Goodness! Loved this book!

Definitely check your trigger warnings before reading.

This is book 4 in the Twisted series and this is the first book from this series that I've read, it can definitely be read as a standalone, this brings together characters from the other books but this tells the story of Christian and Stella.

Tropes that you are going to find in this book- grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, one bed to name a few! I loved Christian he was 100% the morally grey grumpy character, Stella was such a sweetheart likeable from the start and I could definitely see so many traits that I have in her which I'm sure made me warm to her so much, she's an incredibly relatable character.

This book has spice but if you are looking for loads of spice on every page then this isn't for you but the spice in this book is chefs kiss!

After reading this book I will be rushing off to order books 1-3 I'm especially interested in more Alex!

I loved the storyline, loved the writing the slow burn tension filled romance - a solid 4/5 star read.

A slow burn that ends up with an explosion of fire and heat 🔥🔥🔥

A steamy end to a great series! I enjoyed the dual storyline of their blossoming love and the mysteries woven in.

A couple of pieces felt not needed to be (Christians secrecy on his history to Stella), but overall it was a good read.

After seeing all the buzz around Ana Huang's books online, I was really excited to see what the hype was all about.
Even though this is the fourth book in the Twisted series, it can be read as a stand alone to an extent but you would probably get a lot more out of it if you have read the first three books. Let's just say, I 100% spoiled the first three books by reading the fourth in the series but I am still intrigued enough to go back and read them.
I did enjoy the slow burn and Christian proving to Stella and us how much he cared about her. Seeing him look after her after her panic attack was particularly endearing.
I could certainly picture Christian, even if Stella wasn't my favourite female lead in one of these kinds of books.
But if I never see the word 'whiskey' again it will be too soon. I actually couldn't believe how many times this one word was used throughout the course of the book.
There was also a lot of literal repetition throughout, which took away from the story.
The steamy scenes were particularly spicy even if seeing the male protagonist refer to the woman that he is obsessed with and falling for as a 'sl*t' or 'wh"re' put me off considerably and made me feel a bit icky.
Some of the plot also felt so OTT. We could have had the stalker storyline or the someone within Christian's close circle turning on him storyline. I get that they went hand in hand but it all felt a bit much.
I also would have found it much more interesting had her stalker been, like I thought it could possibly be from the beginning, one of her rival influencers or her boyfriend at least.
But I definitely devoured this book and will be reading more from Ana Huang in the future.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I've had Twisted Love (the first book in the series of companion novels) on my bookshelf for a couple of months now and was actually about to pick it up when I got a copy of this book and so I started with book 4, as one does.

I then proceeded to devour this almost 600 pages book in two days. I absolutely adored it! I loved the characters, the banter and it even made me emotional in the last 10%. I will now go back to book one and read everything Ana Huang has ever written and will veer write. I'm obsessed.

10/10 would recommend !

Many thanks to the publisher for providing me a review copy of this book.

Ana knows how to make you love a villain!

Twisted lies was one of my most anticipated books of the year and it didn’t disappoint at all.

The slow burn and build up tension just kept me intrigued and the banter and steamy scenes were so on point. I loved how protective Christian is and how strong but also reliable Stella is. She’s trying to make more for herself in a world of sharks and her resilience and driven personality was so inspiring.

All the suspenseful moments felt right down scary because I honestly haven’t predicted who the stalker was, although it was so cleverly crafted within the story.

I love this series and I would recommend it to any romantic reader.

I never read this series, and I’m not sure if it was good to start it from Book 4, but I enjoyed it. I might have spoiled previous books though😂 the book felt very Tiktok to me. Dramatic, intense and super spicy! If you liked The Fine Print, I think you would enjoy this series too.

I liked the characters, but felt uncomfortable with violent scenes. (I’m much more of a fun, light romcom girl, so this is really just personal preference) but other than that, I found the book highly addictive and I enjoyed it!

This 4th book concludes the twisted series, a series that I met and started just a few months ago and that immediately entered my heart. This last volume sees Stella and Christian as protagonists who had made us dream already from the second book, with just a few glances, and who promised sparks. And well it did. The two of them are something PHENOMENAL. The tension between them practically set me on fire, from the first page I totally fell in love with Christian.
If I had to describe Christian I would say that he is somewhere between Rhys and Alex, he has a little bit of both personalities. He has the dark side of Alex and the charisma of Rhys. So how could I not like a REALLY morally gray character. I admit that for some small details I found him slightly out of my standards, but in any case he saves himself with every word of him, every thought of him in the star confd3. He says yes to be obsessed with her, he cannot be far away, he cannot not think about her, want her. Stella is his weakness, but also the cure for him. She is the only one who will be able to see and love him as he is. Her with her big green eyes, which manage to charm Christian and make him capable of killing for her.
I admit that Stella is not one of my favorites of the Twisted girls, but I appreciated her anyway, although sometimes I wanted to beat her. However, Stella does not have a beautiful situation behind her, she has a toxic relationship with her family, a job that does not satisfy her and moreover things will get worse when a stalker starts to send her messages. But here's where Christian comes in. The one who welcomes her into the house is the one who will pretend to be her fake boyfriend for the whole world. I love fake dating, I love how clearly things evolve slowly and I love the slow burn between Christian and Stella, although it takes 60% for something concrete to happen .. But I must admit that it was worth the wait.
The spicy scenes are really top notch, high quality and super super hot.
I appreciated how all the old characters from the previous books are present here, and I super loved how he wanted to give everyone a happy ending, with an epilogue that made me cry a lot. I am super sad to have to say goodbye to everyone, by now they are in my heart, I wish I could read everything again, pretending not to know anything, just to savor all the magnificent emotions that this series made me feel.
I am emotionally attached to this series by now and I recommend it to anyone, there is a lot of romance, many beautiful tropes, magnificent and spicy writing to make you hot. This book certainly earns 5 stars for Christian, but also for all the others who still made me excited a lot.
I can't wait to read the next book in the new series. And guess who will be the protagonist? Dante himself. enemies / hate to lovers assured.

Thanks to Netgalley, Ana Huang, Clara Diaz and Little Brown for letting me read this ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Let me start off by saying this book did not come to play! It ATE...much like Christian Harper did ;). Ana ended this series so spectacularly. I loved it so much. I laughed, I cried, I threw my kindle across the sofa. It gave me all the feels, I was so stressed at parts too.

Stella, I loved her. I adored her so much. She's for those who suffer with anxiety and those who struggle to deal with the pressures of not failing. I thought the way Stella's experiences were written was done so brilliantly! Christian a great example of somebody who allows his past to define who he is as a person currently. I thoroughly enjoyed the character growth in this I enjoyed watching Christian and Stella's relationship develop. The plot was immaculate. I just loved it. Christian Harper, a man of my own heart. This man could get it everyday and twice on Sundays. He could quite literally step on my neck and I'd thank him for the honour. I love this man. Although I have to say Alex Volkov is still my no.1 but Christian is a close second.

I loved everything about this and I'm so sad it's over!! The epilogue was so good, it ended so perfectly. Ana thank you so much for this series, this world and the additions to my book boyfriends list. I look forward to reading your next series.

5+++++/5 Stars!!!

»Once upon a time, I hadn’t believed in love. Now, I realize that love was the last piece that’d been missing in the puzzle of my life. With it, I was finally whole.«

„Twisted Lies“ is a masterpiece!
