This is a cute children's book about a badger who loves eating blueberries, which are his favourite food. His friend Dog has lost his ball and he is feeling sad, so Badger tries to help him to get it back.

This is the second book in a series, but you don't need to read the first one to understand this one.

I enjoyed reading this book with my daughter, and she found it funny. The pictures in the book are cute. Highly recommended!

It was the illustrations in this one for me. I’m a sucker for good illustrations. They are eye catching and adorable and make you want to have more. The story is cute and will be loved by many but for me was not overly memorable.

So Badger found his favorite blue berries, and a lot!! So he spent his day eating the fruit, until his friend pass and told him that he lost something. I really enjoy the humor in this story and also the moral shared. In a simple graphic that made me focusing more on the actors of the story, this book is well made.

This was honestly the cutest little story I have read this past year! The illustrations were beautifully done and flowed well with the Badgers storyline. The Blue Badger and the Big Breakfast was such a lovely little read I truly hope there will be more journeys with these characters.

This is a sweet little book about one friend trying to help another by adding cheer to the other's life. The illustrations are bright, colorful, and engaging. The reader will be happy to spot the dog's ball at the end of the story.

A funny book about not being self centered and paying attention to your friends. I love the simple but striking illustrations.

This was so cute, it really drew me and my girls in. I loved the rhythm and how it changed, it was really fun to read. The plot is so fun, but I loved the importance of friendship, patience and admitting when we are wrong. Brilliant

Badger is eating a very big breakfast of blueberries. He says Hi to lots of his friends. Dog asks if he has seen his ball. When badger finds out it’s a blue ball he’s a little worried he might have eaten it. The story is typical and cliche, but it all works together very well. The illustrations are fun and vibrant, but also same time quiet. All in all, I love this book it was a fun story and would be fun to read with kids.

A wonderful book for young children, with stunning illustrations that really help tell the story and move the plot along. This would be brilliant book to use in class to discuss friendship, empathy, responsibility and problem-solving. I would further use the structure of the book to look at how the author has not used the expected format of speech marks but used font to indicate who is talking.

I loved reading this one allowed to my girls - each with a penchant for blueberries.

I liked this book a lot, however, it was almost too much like Jon Klassen's work that it seemed like it was copying his art. This gave me hesitation, but overall a solid addition to a library collection.

Very cute book on friendship

Badger is enjoying his breakfast, a big pile of blueberries. Eventually, dog comes by looking for something. Badger eventually can be distracted enough from his food to realize that dog has lost his blue ball. Might he know something about the whereabouts?

I enjoyed this story. The illustrations are very cute and simple. The story teaches that friendship can be more important than food or things. Very cute!

I loved this one - the illustrations were precious (and I love the blues). I also thought it packed a lot of valuable lessons in its very brief story. This one will teach kids that the most important gift we have is not food or anything else - but friendship and patience. In addition, it demonstrates the importance of admitting our wrongs and apologizing, whether we've done something on accident or on purpose. In the end, friendship and play solve all the problems for Blue Badger and his buddy.

Badger enjoys eating a lot for breakfast. His favorite is blueberries. Readers learn that Dog has lost his blue ball. They will be amused when Badger shares they may have eaten it. I love how he shares that they can do so much together and don't need the ball to play. Observant readers may spot the hint of blue in some of the illustrations and figure out where the ball actually is. The illustrations add to the humor - especially the character expressions. A fun read aloud for families and classes.

This children's book about friendship and owning up to mistakes is simple, but so well done! This illustrations are spare but evocative, and the kids and I had fun discovering where the big breakfast went wrong and Badger ate something he shouldn't have.

I absolutely loved the deadpan, darkly comic edge to this story. Well thought out with the illustrations acting as a key element in the plot progression, this is the kind of picture book I love to explore with my pupils. It would be an excellent springboard for rich conversations on topics like friendship, honesty, how to be helpful etc for children aged 4+ and the simple but effective art work is so visually appealing I can see this becoming a firm favourite in many homes and classrooms. Definitely one I plan to add to my collection!

Blue Badger has a busy morning planned—eating! He’s got lots of blue berries to eat and can’t be distracted. When Dog needs help finding his lost ball (his lost blue ball, hmm…) Badger finds himself in an awkward position. What to do?

The story didn’t flow well for me. It jumps between narrators and rhythm/rhyme schemes somewhat abruptly. Early readers may have difficulty following who is speaking. One character rattles off a paragraph of platitudes seemingly out of nowhere and without much explanation. The potential for a fun plot was there, but the way it was organized wasn’t structured enough for me to appreciate the journey.

Blue badger and the Big Breakfast was absolutely adorable, it reminded me of my son he loves his frozen blueberries and nothing can take him from them.

Owl is quite the stinker and I definitely liked the advice Dump he gives the badger. So funny

The ending causes server outrage amongst the tittle, the injustice of it (laughing all the while).

I enjoyed this book and so did my son, 5 stars a fun quick read for kids and parents.

Wry wit and fab illustrations make this a gem for readers 4-6 and those young at heart. The second in the Blue Badger series of picture books, it features the title character feeling joy as he feasts on his fav food, blueberries. But he finds his good friend Dog is sad as he's lost a beloved toy. Can Badger help? Readers will guffaw as they follow the story. Written by Dr Huw Lewis-Jones, author, arctic explorer, professor, and art director, with charming illustrations by Ben Sanders. So fun!

This was a cute idea to show children about owning up to mistakes they may (or may not) have made. The drawings are simple (like the message) and don't detract from the story by being too detailed.

"blueberries" is just one word, not two. Things like that ought to be correct in a children's book, in order for them to learn correctly.

Too many aphorisms from the owl, at the end...8 in one paragraph was a little excessive! It was a little confusing how Badger's speech was emboldened some of the time, but not always.

This book would be ok to read at the library, on a visit to choose books but I'd not want it as a home copy.

I love the simple but impactful style of the Blue Badger books! I adore this art and these characters! This tells a tale of what happens when you accidentally make a mistake that hurts someone else and teaches small readers how to deal with such things which will inevitably happen.
