This is a perfect cosy read, perfect for the cold weather. A perfect story to escape into and forget what's going on in the world for a few hours.

If you love Hallmark movies, this is the perfect Christmas novel for you. Think small town location, family stuck together in the snow, first loves, new loves, shortbread biscuits. What more could you want in a festive story?

I read this in one sitting on a Sunday afternoon. It was the perfect tonic after a busy work week and allowed me to escape to a cheerier, snowier place for a few hours. I will certainly be recommending this in the run up to Christmas.

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy.

Spending Christmas with a bunch of total strangers probably isn’t your idea of a fun festive break. But that’s exactly what happens to Lucy Clarke in Sarah Morgan’s new festive novel, Snowed in for Christmas.

When the marketing company she works for hits hard times, Lucy decided to seize the initiative. She doesn’t have any family to spend Christmas with, so there’s nothing to stop her driving up to the Scottish Highlands and hand-delivering a pitch document to Ross Miller, the high-achieving boss of Miller Active. Ross is going to spend Christmas with his parents Glenda and Douglas and his sisters Alice and Clemmie, not forgetting feisty Nanna Jean. And they all have their own problems to deal with!

But while Lucy at the Miller family’s house, a combination of sibling scheming, bad weather and even worse luck means that she ends up stranded in the Highlands for Christmas with the Millers.

I have to be honest, this book did take a little while to get going. There are a lot of main characters to introduce and each of them has a back-story that really does need to be explored. Luckily I’ve read Sarah Morgan’s novels before (read my review of The Christmas Escape) and I knew that it would be worth sticking with this one. And once the story got going, I was hooked!

Snowed in for Christmas isn’t a straightforward Christmas romance between a boy and a girl. Each of the characters has got a story that reels you in until you feel like you’re snowed in at Miller Lodge as well. Whether it’s Alice’s rocky relationship, Clemmie’s unrequited love or Glenda’s worries about her husband, these characters feel so real. I genuinely cared what would happen to them all.

And overseeing them all is the matriarchal Nanna Jean. I absolutely loved her for her feisty nature, inappropriate comments and general interfering in her relatives’ lives. When I grow up, I want to be like Nanna Jean!

But ultimately, Snowed in for Christmas is a festive love story and as such, yes, it has the happy ending that will lift your spirits and melt your heart. So if you want to snuggle up with a hot drink and a festive read this Christmas, you won’t go far wrong with this one.

Every year, Sarah Morgan's Christmas book is something I look forward to. I have loved every one she's written, but I think this is my favourite one yet. It's sweet and funny, festive and romantic, it made me laugh and cry and want to hug every member of my family and eat gingerbread and it was just a delight from start to finish.

The concept is fun, the Millers are a big warm loving family, but one with underlying tensions, misunderstandings and issues that, as is often the way with families, get ignored or swept under the rug. Enter Lucy, she's desperately trying to save the marketing firm she works with by pitching to Ross Miller, even if she has to pop by his house in the run up to Christmas to do it. Which would be fine if Ross's sisters hadn't told their Mum that Lucy was his girlfriend, or if she hadn't slipped and hurt her ankle, or if they weren't all about to get snowed in together....

Like I said, the premise is fun, but the characters themselves are where the story really comes to life. Sarah Morgan writes families and siblings so incredibly well, I fell in love with everyone, but special mention absolutely has to go to Nanna Jean who I want to hang out with every day for forever.

When I finished this book I felt festive and filled with warmth and joy, and I don't think you can ask anything more from a Christmas book!

Definitely a must read novel- I just didn’t want it to end. Sarah has done herself proud with this brilliant, heart warming, enjoyable story set mostly in beautiful Scottish landscape. It is full of the joys of Christmas with wonderful characters who are all trying to make important life decisions. I must admit I found it thought provoking about Christmas and the importance of my own family in my life.

A Christmas book from Sarah Morgan has yet to let me down. Every single year I look forward to her latest festive novel and Snowed in For Christmas is one of her best yet.

There’s this special quality to Sarah Morgan’s writing and characters that means you can’t help but feel invested and a part of the story. At every single point of Snowed in For Christmas, I was rooting for the characters and hoping everything would work out. The way she writes seems extremely personal and as if the book is written just for you. Magical is how I would describe it.

I absolutely loved the plot of this. The fake girlfriend trope is always a hit with me and Snowed in For Christmas did it well. What made this one even better was the fact that Lucy and Ross didn’t even know each other before she got mistaken for his girlfriend. Poor Lucy just thought his family was overly nice, and while this is true, it was quite funny to read.

The snowy landscape, as always with a Sarah Morgan festive novel, sounded stunning. I love that this was set in a little village, although you don’t get to see too much of it which is a shame. However, the Miller family home sounded wonderfully cosy and very festive.

I loved all of the characters, Clemmie was by far my favourite. She knew exactly what she wanted and she planned to get it no matter what her family said. I was probably most invested in her storyline.

With that being said I did love all of the family and their dynamic. It was pure chaos at times, but that’s what made them seem like a real family. You always need that older grandparent who can get away with saying what everyone is actually thinking because where would the story be without them? Not moving I say and that’s pretty much what happens here. Everything falls into place thanks to Nanna Jean.

It’s funny how at the beginning the story focuses a lot on Lucy, but over time she becomes more of a secondary character. Well to me she does anyway. Once you meet all three siblings, Clemmie and Alice seem to steal the show. I did like Lucy though, even if she was quite stubborn about staying with the Millers for Christmas.

Snowed in For Christmas is another Christmas hit from Sarah Morgan, my December would not feel complete without one of her books. She has become a staple of the festive season for me now.

Another cosy, feel-good Christmas romance from Sarah Morgan.

Yes, it’s predictable - girl gets boy - of course she does! There needed to be some contrived details in order for the plot to work. By my reckoning, the story moves to Scotland on around 19th December. It’s somewhat unbelievable that a company would leave creating content for a marketing campaign for a winter product so close to Christmas or that people with high powered, demanding jobs would all travel home for the Christmas holidays as early as that.

Having said all that, if you can put the contrived plot to one side, what follows is a warm, fun, undemanding story about finding love when you least expect it. One of my all time Christmas movies is While you were Sleeping and this book invokes images of the same type of loving, interfering, irritating, hearts-in-the-right-place sort of family with a similar comedy element of mistaken identity. I liked all of the characters and really wanted them to have a happy ever after.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A wonderful classic Christmas book predominately set in Scotland!! Warm comforting and timeless!! I felt so at home with the people and places, and would love to pop in for tea and shortbread with them all!!
Lucy is not looking forward to Christmas after losing her beloved grandmother at Christmas a couple of years before. She is also very worried for the company she works for that is struggling, and for her colleagues, and is doing her best to help save the company.
The Miller family seem to have it all, success, and a happy close family, but all is not as it seems! A blizzard snow storm is due, get the layers on!!!
I loved how this book unfolds with the characters and the lives they have chosen.
Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.
Thank you Netgalley for the early read.

Snuggle down with a hot cuppa, a box of chocs and this year’s festive treat by Sarah Morgan and you will be whisked off to rural Scotland for a Christmas with the Miller family.

The Miller’s from the unreproachable Nanna Jean to workaholic Alice are the perfect mix of characters to help bring Lucy and Ross’s focus on what really matters.

Sarah Morgan’s ability to create sure eclectic characters and vivid settings that brings her fans back year after year and her latest five star rated release will ensure more readers fall in love with her stories.

Another very enjoyable Christmas themed book from Sarah Morgan, full of family drama!

This is all about the Miller family, along with the lovely interloper, Lucy. The Miller family consist of Nana Jean, her son Douglas and his wife Glenda, and their grown-up children Ross, Alice and Clemmie.

Ross hasn't carried on the family business of selling well-known shortbread, but branched out on his own, and now owns his own sports company that is doing very well. His father, Douglas, is feeling the pressure as he gets older and feels that Ross has abandoned the family company. Both are very stubborn and won't talk about business together, there's lots of pride involved, with Glenda stuck in the middle of all this!

Alice is a doctor, she is a very caring doctor but has a very matter of fact attitude and finds it hard to share her feelings, and because of this manages to push boyfriend Nico away (who has recently proposed and she's 'thinking about it'), to the point that he's had enough with her. But luckily enough he's stuck in their house at Christmas because of the weather, so they have to work through their differences.

Clemmie is the gentlest of the trio, a nanny and loves children. She is single but really wants a baby so decides to have a sperm donor baby, but really has been in love with single Dad, Fergus, forever but doesn't think he loves her, and she hasn't told him.

And last, but certainly not least, we have Nana Jean, who is very funny, and sticks her nose in everywhere, especially her grandchildren's lives! In fact the whole family are very amusing, and relateable. All stuck together at Christmas with no escape.

Everyone has arrived back at the family home for Christmas with all this drama unfolding in the background, and Lucy unknowingly arrives in the middle of it all to put a marketing proposal forward to Ross, trying to save the company she works for who are having financial difficulties, but she breaks a leg whilst there, gets snowed in with them all, and gets involved with all the family dramas.

A very enjoyable story with a lovely ending.

I love a good Christmas story and I love Sarah's books. She did not disappoint. This was adorable, I loved the characters, especially Nanna Jean. A beautiful story to snuggle up with under a cosy blanket with a hot chocolate. Perfect.

Christmas isn't Christmas until I've read a Sarah Morgan book and this year's novel is a festive treat. The Miller siblings all have secrets to keep and trying to keep them in the Miller household with their delightful and outspoken grandmother was an entertaining disaster. The Miller house oozes Christmas spirit making the taste, smells and love leap from the page making me love them as much as lonely Lucy does.
It have a vague While I was sleeping feel to it with mistaken identity and close families and as that's my favourite film, this has become one of my favourite festive reads and will be on my forever shelf

This was a lovely, Christmassy, heart warming book!
I was worried at first there were too many POV’s but they all entwined together beautifully..
I love a happy ending, and this was the biggest I’ve read in a long time!

Classic Christmas Sarah Morgan, what is not to love. Even if you don’t like Christmas I think you’ll still enjoy this lovely story about family, loss and friendship. I love Scotland so it’s definitely up my alley , but overall it’s a beautiful light, fun and heartwarming read that will make you smile, cry and laugh.
