Snowed in for Christmas by Sarah Morgan is the perfect read to escape with as the nights grow colder and we move towards the festive season. You always know the countdown to Christmas is on when a new book by this author is released, and this one is a pure delight from beginning to end!

In Snowed in for Christmas we meet Lucy Clarke who is not only facing the prospect of losing her job, but also facing a sad and isolated Christmas alone after the death of her much loved grandmother two years ago. So when she has an idea that could very well bring in the business she needs, she decides to deliver the proposal to businessman Ross Miller in person, arriving in the Scottish Highlands just as the Miller family are about to gather for the Christmas holidays. Arriving on the Miller’s snow covered doorstep, Lucy is mistaken for Ross’s girlfriend. And then, just as the confusion is cleared up, a storm hits which leaves Lucy stranded in the midst of a tense Christmas gathering – with a family that isn’t hers…

Oh my word, what an absolute delight this book is from start to finish! Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Scottish Highlands, Sarah Morgan has written yet another warm and heartfelt story with family values and romance at its heart. With a larger than life cast of characters and a heartwarming story of family conflict, romance and new beginnings, this is a book that will leave you with a warm and happy glow as you turn the final page.

I loved everything about Snowed in for Christmas. From the magic of Christmas to a sprinkling of romance, Sarah Morgan has written a delightful tale that will make you laugh out loud one moment and move you to tears the next. But most importantly of all, it will transport you to a place far away from the harsh realities of the real world, something I’m sure we could all do with a little bit of right now.

I always know I’m in safe hands with Sarah Morgan and Snowed in for Christmas is pure escapism at its very best. I loved it!

A highly recommended festive feel good read.

"Snowed in for Christmas" is another great page-turner of a romance from Sarah Morgan. The Miller family is made up of wonderful characters, especially Nanna Jean, and of course Ross. When orphan Lucy is unexpectedly trapped at Miller Lodge for Christmas there are various different issues to be resolved for the family and for Lucy herself. Even for someone who is not fond of Christmas this is a great read.

Thanks to Net Galley and the publishers for the opportunity to review this book.

“Snowed in For Christmas” by Sarah Morgan is a delightful, warmimg seasonal treat to read. Exactly as the title suggests the main characters find themselves snowed in, stuck together, over Christmas.

For the Miller family being together every year with lots of traditions to fulfil & enjoy it should be perfect. However, there are unspoken tensions and secrets bubbling under the seemingly perfect surface. Outsiders Nico (the boyfriend) and Lucy (a stranger who has to stay due to an injury & the weather) find themselves wrapped in the warmth and love preparing to join a family Christmas. Will the snow melt, will they all stay?

I loved reading this book it was a light, fun, heartwarming read that raised smiles and a few tears too. I will certainly look out for other seasonal delights from the author in future. Thank you to the publishers HQ stories and #Netgalley for an ARC of the book.

Lucy Clarke is an employee of a London-based marketing agency but there is a likelihood that she'll lose her job because of the loss of two major accounts. Lucy, who is deeply attached to her job and colleagues, decides to make a pitch to Miller Active, a sportswear company led by CEO Ross Miller, so, just before Christmas she travels to his family home, Glen Lodge in the Scottish Highlands to deliver the bid in person. The Miller clan is large and mum, Glenda Miller, and eighty-six-year-old Grandma Jean love to pry into the Miller siblings' personal lives. Hunter is the family's black Labrador, Alice is a doctor, 30yo, and Clemmie, the youngest and a nanny, has a secret but when she arrives will she share? Ross is dreading confrontations with his father, Douglas, who steers the family business, Glen Shortbread. Douglas, who has been having thoughts about future retirement didn't expect Ross to branch out on his own. When Lucy lands on the Millers' doorstep she is mistaken for Ross's girlfriend.

Well told by Sarah Morgan this tale contains lots to enthuse about. It is a lovely story about family issues, secrets, loss and friendship. Nanna Jean was a dream with her witticisms. The Christmas theme was terrific; not dottily done and the romance wasn't too saccharine... Don't miss out as this is a fabulous festive read.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from HQ via NetGalley at my request and this review is my own unbiased opinion.

I love Sarah Morgan's books and Snowed In For Christmas was just the uplifting, warm and winter book I hoped it would be. I enjoyed the setting in Scotland and the family dynamics and of course the romance that came along, I was fully invested in everyone's stories and adored Nana Jean. I wish I was snowed in, making shortbread and drinking lots of tea and hot chocolate!

This was an enjoyable read with likeable characters. Lucy was such a hardworking, intelligent woman who really cared for others but she was lonely. The Miller family were the opposite in some ways, they did care for others and were very welcoming and loving but they weren’t lonely, in fact sometimes they wished for space! The star of the family for me was Nana Jean, at over eighty years of age, she felt she could say and ask questions as she pleased. Although, she had her own way of doing things, she did have their best interests at heart. If you are looking for a book with the feel good factor at the end, then this is it. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a great feel good Christmas read. A heartwarming story full of family drama, romance and a spectacular setting.
I loved the different POV’s. The characters are all well developed, made a engrossing read with happy endings. I was smiling while turning the pages. My favourite character was Nanna Jean. This book is unputdownable. Definitely recommend.

Such a wonderful, Christmassy feel-good read! The story is told from the viewpoints of four of the women in the story and I really enjoyed this element to it. Each were strong-willed women and yet they held back from each other in different ways - the family dynamics between sisters, siblings and parents were really well written, with touching elements as well as humour. Although my favourite character by far was Nanna Jean! She should definitely have got her own viewpoint!!
This Christmas read definitely hits the spot and I loved all the humorous elements too - really captured family life and the ups and downs of romance perfectly.

I absolutely loved this book! Snowed In For Christmas radiates so much warmth and charm that it was hard to put down.

Meet the Millers! A Scottish family, whose children, Alice, Ross and Clemmie all now work and reside in London. They gather every Christmas at their family home in the Highlands, where their parents Douglas and Glenda, and grandmother Nanna Jean, all reside. Enter Lucy - advertising executive. After unsuccessfully trying to contact Ross in London to pitch his company's sports wear, she decides to hand her marketing plan to him at his family home. She's mistaken for his girlfriend, slips on ice and ends up staying with the Millers due to a snow storm.

The story is told from the perspectives of four different female characters; Lucy, Alice, Clemmie and Glenda - it added depth to the characters and meaning to the story. I really liked the camaraderie between the siblings. Nanna Jean's character provided amusement and entertainment to the story.

On the whole, Snowed In For Christmas was a heartwarming read - a definite must read for the upcoming winter season.

Snowed in for Christmas is a cosy and enjoyable read with plenty of romance and lots of snow!

My favourite character was most definitely Nanna Jean. She was an absolute delight and I would love to have someone like her in my family. She makes a mean shortbread too, so that would be a bonus!

This book was set in a stunning Scottish Village that would be the ideal place to get snowed in. Not forgetting that the Brownies from the Café sounded absolutely delicious 🤤

There was so much in the future for this family and I would love to revisit them and see what happens!

Snowed In For Christmas by Sarah Morgan.
A family gathering
This Christmas the Miller siblings have one goal – to avoid their family’s well-meaning questions. Ross, Alice and Clemmie have secrets that they don’t intend to share, and they are relying on each other to deflect attention.
An uninvited guest
Lucy Clarke is facing a Christmas alone, and the prospect of losing her job – unless she can win a major piece of business from Ross Miller. She’ll deliver her proposal to his family home in the Scottish Highlands and then leave. After all, she wouldn’t want to intrude on the Miller’s perfect family Christmas.
A Christmas to remember
When Lucy appears on the Miller’s snow-covered doorstep, she is mistaken for Ross’s girlfriend. But by the time the confusion is cleared up, a storm has hit and Lucy is stuck. As everyone settles in for a snowed-in Christmas, tensions bubble to the surface and suddenly Lucy finds herself facing a big family fallout with a family that isn’t hers…
Really enjoyable read. Love this author. Great story and characters. 5*.

I love reading a Sarah Morgan novel and especially love this festive tradition of a new Christmas book each year! It’s a guaranteed cracking read and this story is absolutely perfect for the festive season.

This book was so heart-warming but not saccharine. I loved seeing the transformation of the characters and found myself sharing their emotions along the way – by the end of the novel, I was grinning like a Cheshire cat! What makes this book so enjoyable is that Morgan doesn’t just focus on the children of the Miller family. The narrative perspective shifts between Lucy, Clemmie, Alice and then the girl’s mother, Glenda. Yes, it is told all from female viewpoints, but I liked the difference in generations and the role they have within the Miller household. In my opinion, this helped to make the story more interesting because of the varied interpretation of how family life was playing out in this secluded lodge in Scotland.

Morgan could not have portrayed a more idyllic setting. Isolated by the dumpings of snow thanks to Storm Scrooge, the family are pretty much cut-off from the rest of the world. On one level, it felt like the makings of a Hallmark movie, especially as the Miller family home is described as such a perfect place to spend a family Christmas. All that was missing was a few reindeer (although they do feature at some point in the narrative too).

There’s a fair amount of emotion running through this story, underpinned by what it means to be a family. Glenda, the mother of the family, assumes she knows her children very well – except she is completely unaware of all of their secrets. Furthermore, Clemmie, Alice and Ross hold a ‘sibling pow-wow’ in London before travelling home: to ensure that parts of their adult life remain private from their parents. As events unfold in Scotland, Glenda faces a tough lesson in understanding how her children have grown and what is means to be a parent to adults.

As I have come to expect from a Sarah Morgan novel, there is always romance that runs throughout the story. Not being privy to Nico or Ross’s feelings was quite interesting; readers rely on the female characters and how they believe their connection is progressing. I thought this was really effective and meant there was less emphasis on love and more on character development. Indeed, readers get a true understanding of Clemmie, Alice and Lucy’s personalities and the significant choices they have made in the lead-up to Christmas.

I really enjoyed this new novel and tried to make sure I didn’t read it too quickly so I could delay the ending! It was too difficult of course, and I found myself absorbed by the narrative. The dilemmas of the characters made for an engrossing read and I was keen to see how a happy-ever-after would be reached. Morgan did not disappoint, of course, making this a perfect candidate for a Christmas read. Highly recommended.

My mum and I are both Sarah Morgan fans so I knew I would love this one too. From the first page I fell in love with the magical Christmas atmosphere. I loved that this one featured not only the romance but the whole family and all of what came from each of their different paths in life. Definitely one that kept the pages turning right until the end.

There are so many loveable characters in this book. Lucy of course the female MC . Glenda Miller and Grandma Jane were such great characters. They wanted to become grandma or great-grandma and were not above making decisions for the three siblings. Grandma June was hilarious

Sarah Morgan writes with heart, soul, and absolute conviction knowing that she’s producing a story that will heal our lonely hearts through family drama and love. I’m here for it. If you’re looking for the perfect cozy read this Christmas then definitely look no further than this one.

There is nothing profound or complex about this book, it is exactly what you expect when you pick up a Christmas novel; an easy read, with characters you like, a fairly predictable storyline and pages filled with warm and fuzzy moments. If, like me however, you don't like too much mush or cheese , this is a perfect pick.

Overall, a cosy read, perfect to curl up with by the fire ; a Hallmark Christmas movie in a book.

Snowed in for Christmas is a fabulous festive story, as expected from Sarah Morgan.

A huge storm and a few coincidences see them all snowed in at the Miller's house for Christmas.
This is a lovely, warm read. Highly recommended.

Lucy comes up with the genius idea to take a job proposal wrapped as a gift to Ross Miller at christmas hoping to get ahead of the others. However she finds herself caught up in a lie when his family think she's his girlfriend. Meanwhile Ross' sisters are dealing with their own lives and learning just how important communication really is.

Oh I love Sarah Morgan and her festive reads, I always look out for a new one and was thrilled to be able to read this one. This might actually be my favourite one. I love the plot, the setting and the characters. Its all so well written and put together. The plot is steady build to a brilliant ending. I love that everyone figures out what they want and how to get it. My favoruite thing has to be Ross realising what he wants. It wasnt the usual dragged out, forced into accepting it. He takes advice and goes for what he wants. Lucy is honestly adorable and her pain is so real and heartwrenching. I love her. Alice and Clemmie have their own things to work through and the big message in this is communication whic is so important. A fabulous, fun, festive read.
