I really enjoyed this book. It was a typical Sarah Morgan cosy, comforting read with a little dash of drama attached. Overall an enjoyable book.
The perfect Christmas/wintertime read, snow, family sagas, loss and friendship and of course lots of shortbread - this book should probably come with its own supply!
It was delightful and enjoyable.
Thank you for letting me read this book.
The mist lovely cozy Christmas book I have read. I loved the characters and the setting was amazing - who wouldn't want to be snowed in here??
A nice easy feel good read for Christmas. A whole set of interesting characters really helped to keep the interest and move things along. A little bit predictable, but maybe that was what we all wanted.
I feel like I've been repeating myself, but I think I have outgrown Sarah Morgan's books. I used to love them, I used to look forward to every Christmas book of hers, and I managed to read most of them. In the last couple of years however, I have gotten a bit more tired of the characters and the way they are always beautiful, always clever, always manage to come into good fortune by inheriting, or by making their hobby into work and, no matter what it is, being so successful at it, that they can have a beautiful house.... People are always tall, always have beautiful hair, beautiful eyes, they are always White and they are always straight... Oh and even if they fall out or don't get on, by some miracle everyone loves everyone by the end of the book. I think I'm over it.
Anyway, I loved the grandma and I love the description of the house and the area, like I always do. So, cute Christmas story but not much depth (I know, there is supposed to be depth but it still feels superficial and unrealistic, not sure that makes sense to anyone but oh well).
I have always enjoyed this author's books, but this time I found it a bit too predictable.
Overall it was an enjoyable read but not quite as good as her previous books, hence just four stars.
Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for this read.
i think the reason i didnt enjoy this is because nothing seemed real with the characters. their relationships didn't have much depth. i couldn't feel a connection with anyone.
the writing style itself is quite easy to read and i have read other sarah morgan books but this one just didn't sit well for me.
A nice, easy Christmas read. It did seem to drag out a lot and the same sorts of thoughts and dialogue happened through-out…people not feeling good enough etc.
I did enjoy it and would recommend it as a relaxing Christmas read.
I absolutely adore Sarah Morgan's books, I think they're the perfect amount of happiness, easy to read that keeps me engaged without being a massive demand on my brain.
This brought the perfect amount of Christmas spirit. Touching on family issues, communication issues, and good old romance.
This made me crave shortbread, and a trip to Scotland!
I regularly post reviews over on Instagram and TikTok, both @blondesbooknook
Christmas isn't complete without hot chocolate and a Sarah Morgan book.
A proper cosy Christmas book. Great storyline fun characters and snow at Christmas what's not to like.
I love the way Sarah Morgan writes drawing you in and this book is the one of the best.
A fantastic feel-good festive contemporary romance. One I will likely re-read agaín coming up to Christmas!
I love Sarah Morgan's books - although at times this was predictable, this was a beautiful book.
This starts in London with Lucy at work in London, and sets up the story for why she heads up to Scotland to spend Christmas with the Millers.
I loved how she is "made" to stay at the house, and then, as per the title, gets snowed in for Christmas .The exit from the house is not accessible, so the family have to face their own issues in the house, both romantic and family issues... along with the proposal that Lucy came up to deliver which got her trapped in the first place.
I loved the characters and would now love to have some shortbread!
The book even inspired me work-wise!
I would recommend this to anyone!
Very amusing novel, wioth great characters and set in some amazing scenery, really enjoyed the light hearted read
I usually love a Sarah Morgan Christmas book but I felt this one very slow going and very predictable.
Lucy travels to Scotland to deliver a marketing proposal to busy businessman Ross, after breaking her ankle in the snow she finds herself snowed in with his family - all of which have their own dilemmas.
It was semi enjoyable and I did complete this book but it didn’t leave me with the same warm and fuzzies!
Lucy, a marketing executive needs to help her boss who's wife is pregnant gain new business. This leads her to travel to Scotland and ends up in a snow storm. Resulting in frustration, tears, family and romance.. ...oh, and obviously, the true spirit of Christmas
I loved this story. A lovely easy festive read. It is very predictable but nice and feel good.
A lovely feel good Christmas read. Perfect to curl up with on a winters day or over the Christmas holidays

You cannot beat Sarah Morgan at Christmas. I have yet to ever be let down by a Sarah Morgan book and this was no different. A lovely, cosy, festive read but also layered with serious subjects that makes it less hallmark and more mainstream. I wish all Sarah Morgan books were made into movies, I would watch them all! I loved the Miller family. A relatable, fun gang who are bound together by a snow storm. There’s dysfunctional family behaviours which makes is more relatable and entertaining. Treat yourself and read this one.
Christmastime means a new Sarah Morgan novel, and this one didn’t disappoint. Snowed in for Christmas tells the story of Lucy, who works for a failing marketing firm, who decides to pitch a business idea to Ross Miller — intending to catch him at the family home just before Christmas. Unfortunately, there’s a bit of a mix up, and she is mistaken for Ross’ girlfriend instead. Cue the inevitable heavy snowfall, and she’s now snowed in with the Millers — Ross, his sisters Alice and Clemmie, their parents and grandmother — for the festive period. What’s more, everyone in the family has something — or someone — they’d rather not face over Christmas…
Once my initial excitement about a new Sarah Morgan novel had faded, I admit I was a bit apprehensive about this one — a case of mistaken identity, featuring a character called Lucy, and set over Christmas, rang a little too close to one of my favourite festive movies, While You Were Sleeping. However, any misgivings I had faded once I started to read, because Morgan handles everything with her trademark heartfelt humour and warmth, and any thoughts about movie comparisons were long forgotten. The characters came alive instantly, and I loved all the twists and turns in their respective arcs.
There’s Alice, who has brought Nico home for Christmas, but she’s wrestling with the implications of his unexpected proposal. There’s Clemmie, who is ready to take several enormous steps in her life, but is unsure of her family’s reaction — not to mention the reappearance of the man she’s always been in love with. Then there’s Ross, frustrated by businesses — his own, and his father’s — as well as the relationship between himself and his Dad, which is fraught with tension. There’s Douglas, working too hard and unable to bridge the gap with his son — and Glenda, his wife, the matriarch of the Millers, who wants nothing more than quiet time with her husband and a family Christmas. Throw Nana Jean into the mix with her wildly unpredictable and adroit comments and ways, along with the unexpected Lucy, and that’s a simmering pot of mulled wine ready to boil over.
I really enjoyed this story. I loved the cushioned warmth of a Sarah Morgan Christmas novel, and the comforting, loving vibes. The setting was perfect for the novel, and everything wove together beautifully in the end. My only issues were the re-use of both a particular trope (heroine slips on ice, hero catches her, but she hurts her foot) and location (Scotland in winter, again) that brought my enjoyment down a tad. However, that’s just me being really picky and I still forgave the book (and author) by the end, given I admit there were happy tears in my eyes.
If you want a good, Chirstmassy read with all the feels, always go for a Sarah Morgan — you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended.
I received an e-ARC from the publisher, HQ, through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Such a good feel good festive read, perfect for over the Christmas holidays. I love Sarah Morgans novels.
✨Book Review✨
Fist off - I adored this book! I just had such a wonderful time with it.
I won’t lie, it got a bit crazy and unrealistic at times but that just added to the appeal for me. It’s a Christmas book after all - complete escapism, just what the Doctor ordered!
We follow Lucy as she trails up to Scotland in a bid to win new business from Ross (cue hot guy) and instead she ends up getting ‘snowed in for christmas’. To be honest, I’m not going to say much more than that as this book delivers in the way you expect it to and I’m here for it… so no unnecessary spoilers!
There are a lot of great characters in this. I love family dynamics in books and this has the right balance. From the interfering mum to the blunt but truthful gran!
A solid 5 star read for me 😊
