Wow, I really adored this wonderful Christmas romance, which was just heartwarming and amazing!

Lucy goes to snowy Scotland to try and get a business deal from Ross Miller, and what she finds is just beautiful. She finds a gorgeous family who are celebrating Christmas in every way possible. The Miller family have all joined together for Christmas, and with them comes the usual family dramas, but also a lot of love, emotional outpourings, and togetherness.

Ross, along with Alice and Clemmie have a big part in the story, and we see their own stories too. They, along with their Mum and Dad, are just all so sweet and loveable. The best character in the story, however, is the wonderful Nanna Jean. She is the best character I have ever read in a story. She is just so adorable and sweet, and so kind and loving. I loved her!

Lucy is so lucky to have been put in with the Miller family, and she has a lovely time with them. As she has no family of her own, she is so grateful to be cared about, and have these beautiful people around her.

I loved this book so much, and it is one of my favourite books of 2022! I highly recommend it, as it warmed my heart on a cold winter's day, and it brought a big smile to my face.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

SARAH MORGAN: SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS.

When Lucy arrives on the doorstep of the Miller family, she is mistaken for somebody entirely different. There to present Ross Miller with a business proposal, Lucy is assumed to be his girlfriend.
By the time the mix up is sorted out, the snow has been falling and everyone is trapped in the house for Christmas.
Lucy must now spend the festive season with a family who aren’t her own. Meanwhile the Miller siblings are all hiding their own secrets, which will of course inevitably spill out before the Turkey goes cold.
This will be a Christmas to remember for everyone.

Sarah Morgan has written so many fantastic Christmas novels, all of which I have enjoyed, but I think #SnowedInForChristmas may just be my favourite.

There is a lot going on in this story. The drama is balanced well with lighter moments.
It has a strong storyline that drew me straight in and kept me turning the pages.

I loved the remote Scottish setting. The added snow made it completely idyllic.

The whole family aspect of this book is delightful. Sarah Morgan really captures the essence of what makes a family a family. They don’t always agree, there is pressure, but ultimately they love each other and have each other’s backs.

Sarah Morgan has thrown in the obligatory loveable dog, plus quirky, witty and wise elder of the family. Both to great effect.

#SnowedInForChristmas is a wonderfully festive read. It’s funny, warm and totally endearing.
Full of sparkle, love and christmas magic.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With grateful thanks to #Netgalley and
HQ for a digital arc of this title.

I feel it has become a tradition for me to read a @sarahmorganwrites Christmas book each year. I love the way she writes and forms a creative story.

I really enjoyed getting to know the Miller family and Lucy in Snowed in for Christmas. With multiple points of view between the characters I felt I got to explore each individual and their background. It allowed me to develop a strong bond with them and I felt invested in each person's own story.

I felt as if I were there for Christmas, part of the Miller family, or like Lucy and a stranger they had taken under their wing. They met in an unconventional but creative way and I loved how everyone became immersed in Christmas itself.

The backdrop to the story was wonderful. The Scottish village with its local café and the villagers all knowing everyone. If I were to be Snowed in at Christmas, this would definitely be idyllic!

As always, there were layers within Sarah's book. As well as the Christmas festivities there was also grief, family relationships, work struggles and loneliness, all handled delicately and realistically in my opinion.

A brilliant read for over the festive period. And if you don't fall in love with Nanna Jean then there is no hope 😂

I was really excited to read my first Sarah Morgan book as I always see them in bookstores, but haven't previously gotten round to reading one of hers! I always find that these books are highly rated too, but despite this I found that the storyline was really slow and I didn't overly connect with the characters or feel gripped by the story.

I found that there were a lot of different characters who had their own stories, which I found was slightly difficult to keep track of. I also didn't find myself warming to any of the characters, which is usually what I love about reading festive books.

I might give another Sarah Morgan book a try, but for me this festive number just didn't cut it and I wouldn't be in any rush to recommend it to any fellow book readers.

I loved this latest offering by Sarah Morgan....she never disappoints.

What would you do if you ended up snowed in at Christmas with a family that aren't yours?!
This is what happens to the main character of the story, Lucy Clarke. After a series of events, Lucy arrives at the family home of the Millers.
Everything looks lovely but what's it really like behind closed doors?!

Full of laughter and the reality of family life, this is a perfect Christmas read.

What a delightful read! Every year I look forward to Sarah Morgan’s latest Christmas read and this one definitely lived up to expectations.Following the Miller family and their grown up children, Ross, Alice and Clemmie, this cosy Christmas romance was so fun and heartwarming.

Lucy, a marketing manager, travels to Scotland for a project hoping to also meet Ross Miller, the CEO of a successful company who is looking for a new marketing team. Her current company needs to get more business in and she is determined to pitch to Ross and leave her proposal with him for perusal. But, things go wrong when she slips and falls outside their lovely Scottish home and ends up with a broken ankle. The snow begins to fall and Lucy, who was going to spend a lonely Christmas in London, is welcomed into the Miller’s home.

Alongside this, we have Alice who is deciding if she wants to get married to her partner Nico, who proposed and is waiting on an answer, and younger sister Clemmie who is moving back home soon and is in love with her childhood friend, Fergus. All the plot lines overlapped so well and the storyline flowed wonderfully!

The characters were all amazing and my personal favourite was Nanna Jean, as she was absolutely brilliant and brutally honest at all times. She made me laugh so much! This story was so enjoyable and festive and I loved every second! Highly recommend!!

This was such a feel-good festive read!

We meet Lucy as she approaches the Christmas season with some trepidation, having lost her beloved grandmother some time ago and with a crisis facing the company she works for. A chance to save the business appears in the form of Miller Active, the CEO of which is the handsome, intelligent, (and single), Ross Miller.

Ross and his two sisters are at different stages of their lives, both considering major life changes, which they are concealing from their loving parents and grandmother. When Lucy is thrown together with the whole Miller family at Christmas, and stuck there, it forces them all to consider the next stages of their lives.... while eating shortbread in front of the Christmas tree.

The characters in the book are all lovely, and it made me want to spend Christmas with the Millers too! A very enjoyable festive read!

Description 🔖

The Miller family siblings have one mission this Christmas, to keep their parents in the dark about their lives. Being in a close family means that everyone feels like they need to know your business, but Ross, Alice and Clemmie are relying on each other to deflect attention this year.

Lucy usually spends Christmas alone and this year doesn’t look much different. Aside from the added stress of fighting to keep her company afloat and therefore her job. She needs to land a big piece of business and she has her sights set on Ross Miller and his company. She decides to make a bold statement by travelling to the Miller home in the Scottish Highlands to deliver her proposal. She can do that before Christmas and then leave them to enjoy the festivities; after all, she wouldn’t want to impose.

Not everything goes to plan. When Lucy arrives on the Miller’s doorstep, they mistake her for Ross’ girlfriend. By the time the whole mess is resolved, a snow storm has struck and Lucy is forced to stay at the Miller’s home until it is safe to leave. Everyone is forced to settle in for a snowed in Christmas as tensions within the family start to rise and Lucy finds herself in the middle of a family drama; a family that isn’t hers.

General Thoughts 🤔

I have a confession; I’m a massive Sarah Morgan fan and I didn’t even know it. I knew I’d read at least one of her books before and that I’d enjoyed it, but it was only when I started reading this one that I realised I had quite a few of her books in my read pile and none of them were less than 4 stars. The bar had already been set and I’m so pleased to report that this book was just as good. Just looking at the cover of this book made me feel cosy, reading it gave off even more cosy Christmas vibes.

Characters 👫👭👬

I adored all of the characters in this book. There was literally not one character that didn’t make me smile or give me a warm little glow at one point or another. Top spot, number one character though had to go to Nanna Jean. What a woman. She was so wise and smart but also warm and funny. She knew everything about everyone but not just because she made it her business to know, but because she was able to read them all so easily. She knew what the siblings were feeling before they did. I found her lack of tact and unwillingness to be anything but straight to the point and honest hilarious and I would love a Nanna Jean in my own family.

I think Alice was probably my favourite character to read out of the three siblings. She made mistakes and her decision making frustrated me, but I think that she was the one sibling that I saw the biggest change in within the story. She learnt from her mistakes and I think that the Alice that left the Miller family home was very different to the one that arrived there.

Writing Style ✍️

The characters and their relationships with each other were what made this book so fantastic for me and I thought that it was down to Sarah Morgan’s skill in writing real and relatable people. I’m almost certain that anyone could pick this book up and find a character that they could relate to in someway and I believe that that can be what makes us as readers fall in love with a story. This book captured the good, bad and ugly of being with your family at Christmas time and I really enjoyed all of it.

Conclusion & Scoring 🎖

This has probably been my favourite Christmas book I’ve read so far this year. I fell in love with the Miller family and I think that Lucy was incredibly lucky to have found herself snowed in with them for Christmas. This story had family drama, love, friendship and comedy. It was so perfect for cuddling up in front of the fire and getting into the Christmas spirit. Nanna Jean was definitely my highlight and I would recommend this book solely for the joy of reading her.

Snowed in for Christmas by Sarah Morgan is a lovely, feel-good festive story about family relationships. The Miller family are all heading home to the Scottish Highlands for Christmas, with various agendas to pursue. An unexpected guest - Lucy - throws a spanner in the works when she can't leave as planned and all sorts of family tensions bubble to the surface.

4.5 stars
With lots of family drama, a snowy and secluded Scottish setting and romance, warmth and funny moments, this is one of those perfectly cosy Christmas books that you simply need to read in the run up to the Christmas period.
Is it predictable? Yes but that doesn't necessarily take away from how enjoyable it is.
It definitely gave me The Holiday vibes and was a fun, festive read.
I actually hadn't read anything from Sarah Morgan before picking this up, but I will definitely be seeking out more of her books in the future.
