This was the regular heart-warming, feel good Christmas offering from Sarah Morgan. Beginning the Christmas period in London and finishing in Scotland, Lucy has a business venture with an added bonus.
Feeling that gaping hole of having no family at Christmas, Lucy delivers a business proposal in the hope to save jobs.
Ross is home for Christmas in Scotland with his family. The story follows the difficulties that each family member has and how they have to face them when snowed in!
Lucy whilst snowed in up Scotland rediscovers what it feels like to be part of a family and discovers an extra present for Christmas.
I enjoyed the story and would give this book a 3.5.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Sarah Morgan for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book was perfect for me. I love Christmas and I love the highlands so we were already onto a winner and it definitely didn’t disappoint.
A delightful, cosy festive read with some life lessons along the way! I loved all the characters and was routing for them all to have their happy ending πŸ₯°
Now get me back to Scotland

Another great Christmas read from Sarah Morgan!

I loved this book, there was family drama, multiple romances and festive feels, what more could you want?

I was definitely invested in some romances more than others but the whole thing was written well and I had a blast reading it!

This is everything you want from a Christmas book - lovely characters, the setting of a rural house with loads of snow outside, family dramas, romance and obvious storylines with a happy ending. It was a great book that I didnt want to end.

There are 2 main sets of characters - Lucy who works for a marketing agency that is having financial problems and the Miller family with 3 siblings and Nanny Jean. The story focuses around the 3 siblings returning home to Scotland and Lucy turning up there with a marketing proposal. Due to unfortunate circumstances Lucy becomes stranded with the Miller Family. The book follows through on each siblings storyline....all with obvious endings.

Every character was likeable for different reasons and together as a family it was lovely to read. When I am Nanna Jean's age, I hope I can be as fun as she is!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for a free copy in exchange for this honest review.

β€œSnowed in for Christmas” is Sarah Morgan’s latest women’s fiction novel and is her festive offering for 2022.
- β€œShe’s snowed in with the family. The only problem? They’re not her family…”
I fell in love instantly with every character in this book, Lucy was so endearing with her warm hearted attitude and the Millers were just the perfect fiction family.
The story is centred around Lucy and her dedication to her boss and close friend Arnie and in saving his company from making redundancies at Christmas. When she travels up from London to deliver a business proposal to the CEO of the hugely successful β€˜Miller Active’ - Ross Miller (nicknamed β€˜Rebel Ross’), things don’t go as planned and she finds herself β€œSnowed in for Christmas”. Each family member have their own relationship issues going on and we hear their stories in their own chapters, each being completely individual and interesting in their own right.
If I could describe this book in one sentence, it would be β€˜Christmas gift wrapped in a big festive bow and sprinkled with a dusting of snow’. Perfect for fans of this genre or anyone just wanting to escape life to the Highlands of Scotland with a family who adore Christmas, have a log fire burning and a jolly Christmas lunch in the planning. We probably all have a family member that we can compare to Nanna Jean, she’s the perfect β€˜Hallmark’ movie channel nana and her one liners and attitude to life was so funny and refreshing.
I unquestionably enjoyed this book, it’s the right time of year to have a weekend festive escape and for devoted fans of Sarah or newbies to her writing will find this a joy to read and I’d happily recommend.
Sunday Times bestselling author Sarah Morgan writes romance and contemporary women's fiction and her trademark humour and warmth have gained her fans across the globe. She has sold over twenty-one million books worldwide.

I genuinely think this is my favourite Sarah Morgan book yet. The characters were all so fun and engaging especially Nana Jean! I also liked how some people were private but there was a Lot of straight talking and I
Really liked that.

Would I have loved to have heard Ross’ side of the story of course! But ultimately this is the perfect Christmas book. I would love to read more from the same characters and welcome a follow on ;)

Only thing I didn’t love was the long chapters but that’s just a personal preference.

An easy read, cosy Christmas romance with no real surprises along the way with the reassuring feeling that everything would end perfectly. And it did!

3 siblings, 3 romances but none of them run smoothly. Some laugh out moments with sibling rivalry and family love. A wonderful read for the Christmas holidays.

Ross, Alice and Clemmie Miller are all living in London, it's almost Christmas so they are preparing to go back up to Scotland to their family home for Christmas.
Lucy works for a little marketing firm which is in trouble. They need to land a big contract in order to avoid having to lay people off. Ross Miller is on the lookout for a new marketing firm for his thriving sports company.
So a series of events take place that sees Lucy stranded in Scotland with the Millers over Christmas.
This was a cosy Christmas story, I really enjoyed it.

Review:
Firstly I would like to thank Sarah Morgan and Netgally for giving me the opportunity of receiving an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.

Secondly, stop what you’re doing and go and buy/order a copy of this book; it is truly incredible, to the point as soon as I finished reading I put my newly arrived paperback (yes I bought a physical copy I loved it that much!!) in my mums hands and sent her off to start reading!

Sarah Morgan has done an incredible job writing the intertwining story of 4 woman and their worries and anxieties in the lead up to Christmas. Snowed in for Christmas is not only a romantic Christmas novel, but also a story that highlights everyday struggles women face within a family and how expectations affect each of them.

Lucy is dealing with the loss of her Grandmother who raised her and who had died 2 years before at Christmas; her story highlights everyone’s struggle of bottling up their emotions to try and convince themselves and others that they’re okay.

Alice is a career driven woman who spends her days working in a busy A&E looking after patients when they need her most; she’s plagued by the expectations of getting married and having children from her family and society, when she’s not sure it’s what she really wants.

Clemmie loves children and wants nothing more than to have one of her own, she sets out on an IVF journey so she can have a child by herself; she’s met by a lot of backlash from her family over the fact she would be a single mother with no one to support her.

Glenda feels like a failure and a bad mother, she’s shocked to find her children have kept things from her and feels responsible for how things panned out; she spends the whole of Christmas trying to keep Nanna Jean in check and try’s to help her children the best she can without over stepping.

Sarah Morgan has dealt with incredibly complex issues faced by women, and society as a whole, in a thought provoking and light way that was easy to read and pulled at my emotions, I must admit I teared up a few times. Sarah’s use of multi POV wasn’t confusing and kept the story flowing, and her use of both a fast and slow pace kept me on my toes and begging to find out what happened next.

I loved all the characters in this book and Nanna Jean has to be my favourite; her warm welcome to everyone and her impeccable meddling skills made me laugh and smile so much my cheek muscles hurt; she definitely made me miss my Grandma a wee bit. Ross’s sarcasm spoke to me, and a lot of people will relate to his struggles with proving his worth to his family and taking his time to find the right person. Big shout out to Nico, Douglas and Fergus for being understanding and for being there for our girls as they went through their personal struggles.

I am incredibly excited to see what my mum thinks once she’s finished reading, and I’m looking forwards to reading more of Sarah’s work.

For lovers of:
- Christmas romance
- Small town romance
- Forced proximity
- Feminism in literature
- Complex family dynamics
- Books that deal with grief & loss
- Books set in Scotland
- Multi POVs

I usually go for thrillers or crime books but fancied a different kind of read with a Christmas theme in the run up to the season.
I found this book quite difficult to complete as it is mainly the various characters talking or dialogue saying how they feel about their situation. It had very little plot.
It is basically a businessman and his family coming together for Christmas, they are joined by a young woman who is there to try and get some business for the PR company she works for. She and the family end up snowed in there and are forced to sort out their various issues. Lots of talking and characters thoughts on events., that’s about it! Not my thing but if you like easy going, quite twee family stories then you may enjoy it.

This book was the perfect countdown to the Christmas festivities. When the Miller siblings descend on their parents for Christmas it is not without its dramas with each harbouring their own secrets that threaten to spoil the holiday season. A gorgeous read with fabulous characters, Nanna Jean is a firm favourite for me.

The perfect Christmas companion. If you could mash up The Switch (Beth O’Leary) with The Holiday (the film) you would get Snowed in at Christmas. Wonderfully heartwarming and I smiled the entire read - like being wrapped in a warm hug. I did feel like Clemmie and Fergus' story was a little rushed at the end so i'd like them to appear in a future story.

If only I could bottle the feelings from finishing Snowed in for Christmas, I would always feel balanced and at peace with the world. Sarah Morgan knows exactly how to make her readers feel great!

The Millers’ are everything a family should be. Not just with the unspoken roles and expectations within a family unit but pulling together and pulling apart. Clashes. Secrets kept. Words and feelings not shared (apart from nanna Jean – oh what a fabulous character she is).

It’s so easy to get to know them too. I love how Sarah Morgan shows and doesn’t tell. We know what a person is like from their actions more than what they say.

All the family have something bubbling under the surface. Insecurity about motherhood, rivalry, fears about failure, unrequited love … and with Lucy and her grief thrown into the mix too there are some really emotive scenes.

Scenes that made me feel good but made me cry:

Ross and his dad
Ross and Lucy in the library AND the hall
Alice and Nico at the Loch
Clem and Frazer at his home
Douglas’ gift to Glenda

When it comes together, wow, does it ever! Everything leading up to that point is worth it πŸ™‚

Perfect setting and a perfectly flawed family, good intentions and plenty of love to go around for everyone. Snowed in for Christmas is a must read this year (and every year). It’s one of those stories to read again when you need a boost.

Full of warmth, love and family , how could you fail to love this book!
Lucy Clarke takes a big risk when she gatecrashes the β€œMiller” family Christmas! Trying to get revel Ross to allow her employer β€œArne” to pitch for his business to help save his flagging company.
Depicts the usual family gathering, but looking from the outside. The bit about the siblings deciding what they could and couldn’t speak about in earshot of the parents and grandmother, I thought how true. Then flip the coin and the older generation were actually doing the same thing, I had never considered this before.
I absolutely loved it. Don’t hesitate, a great book to settle down with, I couldn’t put it down.

As Christmas novels go, this was quite a good one. I always enjoy something with a Christmas theme in the weeks leading up to Christmas and Sarah Morgan can be relied upon for something enjoyable.
Fairly predictable, but it wouldn't be Christmas without that!

⭐️ 3.5 ⭐️
Rounded up to 4 stars.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC, in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

I love Sarah Morgan’s Christmas books, and look forward to reading them each year.

Snowed in for Christmas is a lovely, feel-good read, and the remote, snowy, Scottish setting provides the perfect backdrop to the story.

Beautifully written as always, I was drawn into the story straight away and invested throughout. The characterisation is good and the cast are a well-rounded, relatable bunch.

I did think that the ending felt slightly rushed and we didn’t get to see enough of the relationships that were formed towards the end as the book focused more on the familial relationships.

Overall, a fun, festive read.
