If only I could bottle the feelings from finishing Snowed in for Christmas, I would always feel balanced and at peace with the world. Sarah Morgan knows exactly how to make her readers feel great!
The Millers’ are everything a family should be. Not just with the unspoken roles and expectations within a family unit but pulling together and pulling apart. Clashes. Secrets kept. Words and feelings not shared (apart from nanna Jean – oh what a fabulous character she is).
It’s so easy to get to know them too. I love how Sarah Morgan shows and doesn’t tell. We know what a person is like from their actions more than what they say.
All the family have something bubbling under the surface. Insecurity about motherhood, rivalry, fears about failure, unrequited love … and with Lucy and her grief thrown into the mix too there are some really emotive scenes.
Scenes that made me feel good but made me cry:
Ross and his dad
Ross and Lucy in the library AND the hall
Alice and Nico at the Loch
Clem and Frazer at his home
Douglas’ gift to Glenda
When it comes together, wow, does it ever! Everything leading up to that point is worth it 🙂
Perfect setting and a perfectly flawed family, good intentions and plenty of love to go around for everyone. Snowed in for Christmas is a must read this year (and every year). It’s one of those stories to read again when you need a boost.

Full of warmth, love and family , how could you fail to love this book!
Lucy Clarke takes a big risk when she gatecrashes the “Miller” family Christmas! Trying to get revel Ross to allow her employer “Arne” to pitch for his business to help save his flagging company.
Depicts the usual family gathering, but looking from the outside. The bit about the siblings deciding what they could and couldn’t speak about in earshot of the parents and grandmother, I thought how true. Then flip the coin and the older generation were actually doing the same thing, I had never considered this before.
I absolutely loved it. Don’t hesitate, a great book to settle down with, I couldn’t put it down.

As Christmas novels go, this was quite a good one. I always enjoy something with a Christmas theme in the weeks leading up to Christmas and Sarah Morgan can be relied upon for something enjoyable.
Fairly predictable, but it wouldn't be Christmas without that!

I love Sarah Morgan’s Christmas books, and look forward to reading them each year.
Snowed in for Christmas is a lovely, feel-good read, and the remote, snowy, Scottish setting provides the perfect backdrop to the story.
Beautifully written as always, I was drawn into the story straight away and invested throughout. The characterisation is good and the cast are a well-rounded, relatable bunch.
I did think that the ending felt slightly rushed and we didn’t get to see enough of the relationships that were formed towards the end as the book focused more on the familial relationships.
Overall, a fun, festive read.

A wonderful book, I love Sarah Morgan's books they are so warm and easy to read. This story is about 3 siblings who find love over the festive period.

The setting, characters and storylines are wonderful, there is a lot of love, happiness and family shenanigans and it has the perfect ending. I must admit I look forward to this author’s festive releases every year. I know for sure I’ll get a lovely uplifting story with a good dose of Christmas cheer.
Thank you to the publisher for the eARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

At this time of year, as the evenings grow dark and the nights grow long, there’s nothing better than settling down to read a good book. And as the festive season starts to roll around and the Christmas lights start popping up across town, that’s my que to pick up Sarah Morgan’s new festive read. I buddy-read this book with my mum too, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
This time Sarah’s novel is all about misunderstandings and juicy secrets with our characters getting snowed in together for Christmas.
We have four main characters in this book:
Alice is a stoic ER doctor, a perfectionist who is learning to open up.
Clemmie is a warm hearted childminder, with a secret that will shake up Christmas.
Glenda is a beautiful mamma-bear to Alice, Clemmie and their brother Ross.
Lucy is a talented professional looking for the next big contract for the company she works for.
All together there’s seven characters trapped together in this Highland home over Christmas, with a friend from the village making an appearance too. I really enjoyed watching the character’s interactions with each other, seeing their family bonds, the quick witted sibling banter and Nanna Jean’s hilarious meddling. It was also interesting to see how the secrets unravelled with everyone trapped under one roof, and I loved watching the relationships between the characters develop throughout the book too.
The only thing that let this book down was that it was a little rushed at the end. These characters had so much story inside of them that I think there could have been another 100 pages. Although I found this a quick, enjoyable read, part of me also wished it was a bit longer, so that our main character’s stories had a real chance to develop rather than all being squeezed into the last 15% of the book. Despite this though I did feel like the individual stories were resolved well, and I was happy with how everything turned out.
As the festive season approaches this is the perfect, easy-to-read, relationship focused novel to pick up on a dark winter’s evening. With all the feelings of a Hallmark Movie, interesting, spirited characters, and enough drama to shake up anyone’s holiday, it’s the best thing to read to get you in the mood for Christmas.

You really know Christmas is coming when you read a Sarah Morgan Christmas book, this was a lovely read.
In Snowed in for Christmas, you meet a number of characters where each chapter is written from their point of view. There is Lucy, who has decided to help the failing company she works for by going to Scotland just before Christmas and personally deliver a pitch to Ross Miller who runs a successful business; however, things don't exactly go to plan. We meet Glenda, the mother of the Miller family and the 3 Miller children, Ross, Clemmie and Alice. Each of them has reached a turning point in their lives and they have a few surprises up their sleeves.
There is a good number of characters in this book but not too many where you forget who's who and my favourite is out of them all is Nanna Jean, she made me laugh so much, what a character.
I loved reading the story from the points of view of Lucy, Glenda, Clemmie and Alice, you really learned about them and the points in their life that they were facing.
Lucy turns up at the Miller home and this is where the story begins by her being snowed in at the Miller home, will she get the business from Ross and what is in store for the rest of the Miller family.
If you want a book to get you in the Christmas mood, this book is the one for you.

Whenever Sarah Morgan releases a new Christmas book, I'm immediately there for it! This one was no different, especially as it's mostly set in Scotland, one of my favourite places.
I do sometimes find that they have a bit of a slow start but this one held my attention from the beginning.
Morgan's scene setting just makes me want to jump into the story and even moreso in the Scottish winter wonderland that we're greeted with when Lucy arrives there on her mission.
I liked all of the characters in this story, especially Nanna Jean! And of course Hunter, I'm a sucker for a dog.
I have to say it was (mostly) quite predictable how it would end with all of the relationships, but that's what I love about Sarah's Christmas; that they leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling in your tummy!

You do know what you're getting from a Sarah Morgan book and 'Snowed in for Christmas' is a great read to get you in the festive spirit. There are no major surprises - you can predict what's going to happen, but sometimes you want an easy read like that. I did find the fact the family were nearly always wading in on private conversations a little irritating. And Nana, though mostly lovely, could get a bit annoying. That said, I loved the setting (I love the Scottish Highlands), and there was just the right amount of festive detail without it being OTT. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah Morgan has written some of my favourite Christmas romances, and I'm sure this year's will work for other people, but it didn't quite do it for me. The two main problems for me were firstly that there were so many characters and strands to the story (four!!!) that you never really got to know anyone very well or understand their motivations and secondly that so many of the issues that people were having could have been solved by having a conversation with someone. It also covers a very short period of time - the days over Christmas - and has some Very Definitely Resolutions if that makes sense, and in short its all a lot. But I can see that other people have really loved this, so I think this is all a me problem, not a book problem if that makes sense!

This is a cozy Christmas story, guaranteed to get you in the festive mood!
London Marketing whizz Lucy is worried about her job, as the small company she works for is struggling. Following the death of her grandmother at christmas a couple of years ago she also has no family to spend the festive season with and things look a bit bleak.
With no Christmas plans she agrees to travel up to Scotland for work to take some pictures of reindeer in the snow for a social media campaign. Whilst there she decides to take the opportunity of visiting the family home of the elusive Ross Miller, CEO of a sportswear company (and youngest son of Douglas Miller, heir to the famous Miller shortbread company) to submit a business proposal in person.
However, when she turns up at his parents' house she has a fall in the snow and, as the weather turns, finds herself snowed in with the Miller family! She finds herself immersed in the family dramas... will they thimk her a nuisance imposing on their family get-together or will she manage to charm Ross?
A lovely, heart-warming, festive read!

What a refreshing Christmas book that was quite different to what I was expecting.
Main character Lucy is worried she's going to lose her job when the company she works for gets in some trouble. She has a fantastic plan to get the business of Ross Miller... by dropping off a proposal to his house in Scotland over Christmas. What could go wrong?
I really loved the setting in the Miller's family home. It made interesting situations for all of the characters but it made it possible for us to get to know them all better. What I really loved was reading about different generations in the family; siblings, parents and grandparents. It was really different for it to not just be about the main romance.
It was nice to read a Christmas book that had so much more to it than the romance.

I’ve been looking forward to this one ever since I got approved and it was worth the wait. After a slightly slow first quarter for me it started to pick up and I could get to know the characters. It had a nice Christmassy feel to help me get into the spirit early and of course it was predictable but it was nice and cosy too. Sarah Morgan is an author I will always pick up as it’s a guaranteed easy read with a bit of a hug at the same time.

Is it really Christmas without a Sarah Morgan book?
Another fab story from Sarah Morgan, I love her work so much and I love how easy it feels to dive into her world.
Highly recommend

I love Sarah Morgan’s books and this one was so lovely to read, very festive and warming. I real easy book to read. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

This is a really lovely feel good Christmas book, full of snow, family having fun, sadness, happiness and cheer.
The characters are a lovely bunch who you root for and hope that all will be well. Lucy stumble’s literally into the Miller family Christmas and what starts as a business proposition for Ross Miller leads to much more.
Lovely book which I have already recommended.
Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’d like to thank NetGalley and HQ for approving me for an ARC of this book. This was my first Sarah Morgan Christmas book but I can guarantee it won’t be my last. This was everything I wanted a Christmas book to be and so much more.
Lets start with Lucy, our loveable and ambitious main character. On a mission to save not just her job but the company she’s come to think of as family, she decides to track down Ross Miller and give him her proposal in person. How was she to know that she would end up being snowed in with the Millers over the festive season? I warmed to Lucy straight away, to steal the words of Alice she’s friendly, approachable and good at her job but she also has sadness in her life. Whilst reading this story I couldn’t help but feel sympathy for Lucy and the hardship she faced at Christmas but I am glad she found herself with the Millers because they definitely livened up her Christmas!
Whether it’s straight talking Alice, caring Clemmie or mischievous Nanna Jean this family is brimming with personality and character. I wanted to be a part of the Miller’s Christmas, they seemed like such fun! Nanna Jean was my favourite character, without a doubt. Her meddling, straight talking ways often had me giggling; she’s the type of nan everyone wants.
This book had it all; family drama, new love, relationship crisis, grief and so much more that I felt that I went through all the emotions when reading this one. Yes I had predicted what would happen by the end but the real gift was the entertainment getting there. It is impossible not to fall in love with this family and all their cosy chaos!

I always look forward to reading Sarah Morgan’s Christmas book and this one definitely did not disappoint. It was heartwarming, funny and I got really invested in the characters from start to finish. A great read!

A complete hug in a book!! A lovely romantic escapist read. Full of warmth alongside family chaos and a desire for everyone to have their happy ever after.
Lucy has a proposal for Ross Miller which she delivers personally...the chain of events which follows invites us in to the Miller family's Christmas preparations and own personal issues which are unravelling. A really warm, heartwarming read. Highly recommend
