Sometimes no matter how good the narrator is, they cannot save a book. I just could not get into this one and could not connect with the characters. I tried to stick it out for awhile but didn't feel like anybody was worth toughing through the whole story for.

Oof. I just couldn't get into this book. I love the enemies to lovers trope, but from the get-go, I could not connect with the characters. The narrator (Lizzie Wofford) was the only redeeming part of the book for me. She did a great job with the voices, including the men (which can sometimes be pretty rough). I wanted to like this book, but I just didn't. :(

This book was just ok. I found it hard to get into. I didn't really connect with Jenny. I found her to be immature. However, there were some cute moments that I liked.

I liked this book a lot but I should’ve liked it more. This book has everything I like in a romance book. However, the FMC was just too unlikable. It got to a point where I wasn’t sure that I could root for them to be together. Other than that it was great.

This is a fun, laugh-out-loud read! It definitely has a bit of a Hallmark vibe with a royal trying to be a “real” person and falling for a commoner. Enemies-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes, so this one fit the bill perfectly! You also can’t go wrong with good fake-dating! So many great tropes in this one!

It was also fun that Jennifer’s family has a deep dislike of anything to do with nobility, so as she falls for Ian, we get some great scenes! I do feel like Jennifer was a bit too snobbish - okay bitchy - and Ian probably wouldn’t have kept at it as much in real life, but that’s why we sometimes live in our fictional worlds!

I laughed through the book, at Jennifer and Ian, at their banter... It was a really sweet enemies to lovers romance.

I enjoyed the story but felt that the narrator just made it so much better, if I had read it I might have scored it less but the narrator told it well.

I loved to love this book. It was everything I wanted and more! Honestly, not much to say. I was happy with the entirety of it. Would recommend!

i listened to the audiobook version of “love to hate you” and i thought the narrator did an excellent job at all the characters’ voices. they nailed the accents in a way that made it hard for me to hit pause whenever i had to finish listening. having said that, i thought jennifer and ian were great characters independently but when together, they sparked more chaos than romance. the two of them have so many differences that they go into their relationship knowing things won’t work out, but pursue each other anyways - the plot gave me “romeo and juliet” vibes.

i’m a big fan of opposites-attract but i felt that there were too many differences between the duo, especially in their ideologies and politics. it was hard for them to find a middle ground and i felt that between the two of them, jennifer was forced to make a lot of sacrifices. at the same time, she’d poke at ian in ways that came off as disrespectful and, at times, rude. fake-dating is something else i love seeing in novels but something didn’t sit right for me in this execution. since they share such varying worldviews, i felt like there was lots of tension between jennifer and ian. i didn’t even feel any kindlings of affection or chemistry until 75% into the narration.

Unfortunately this book was just not for me. I couldn’t find any connection or like ability in the characters which led me to be less interested in their romantic story.

This book was a fun one to do on audio. The narrator was great with inflection and I felt gave the character's personality that extra flare. Jennifer is a strong no fuss women and very set in who she is. Watching the relationship workout and see the growth she went through in the storyline was fun to follow. I also really enjoyed the setting of European countries and bringing in the royal aspect. Ian was fun as a main character and how he pursued Jennifer. I loved the scene where he crashed her date and the banter these two had. Overall a fun read!

Love to Hate You is, as the title suggests, an enemies to lovers, fake dating romance novel. Those tropes are usually my favourite, but this book didn't really hit the mark for me, but it's hard to put my finger on why. I didn't dislike the characters but I didn't root for them to fall in love either. At times, I found myself rolling my eyes at the dialogue too. It's a good book for the beach or if like me, you needed a quick diversion from your usual genre. You'll enjoy it but it probably won't blow you away.

Love to Hate You by Anna Premoli is an enemies to lovers romance. I honestly thought this book was ok but maybe not for me. The book overall was a fun read and the banter between the main characters was entertaining. However, I thought the pacing could have been a little more evened out. If I read the book in print I may have liked it more, at times the narrator almost sounded bored.

What an enjoyable enemies to lovers romcom! With forced proximity, this story follows Jennifer as she is forced to work closely with Ian and some how finds herself entangled in his life.

Ian is the pretty boy who everyone loves. He is a down to earth, hard working, beautiful blue-eyed future Duke. I mean, yes please!! If she doesn't take him, I will!

This book is full of banter and awkward situations that will make you laugh out loud. I truly didn't want it to end!

It was about time I read a romance and one such book on my list was “Love to hate you” by Anna Premoli! It was one of the audiobooks offered by NetGalley and I find it hard to resist a romance in audiobook! So I went right into it, as it have some of my favourite tropes like enemies to lovers and fake dating! It was practically shouting my name!

Jennifer and Ian have been colleagues in the same firm for seven years more or less. Each of them is leading a team in one of those big London banks and they try to never cross paths. This is of course after the first time they attempted to work together on a project, where Jennifer as the senior colleague was to lead the team. This venture turned to a disaster as the fact that the leading role was given to Jennifer did not sit well with Ian. Since that episode, their boss is keeping them apart for everyone’s sake. But now, one of Jennifer’s clients, Lord Beverly, has requested that Ian also works on his account, since their families are well acquainted.

Ian’s grandfather is the Duke of Revington and Ian is his Heir. This makes him a target for the ladies, especially those that were born in a family with a title. These women are usually beautiful and that is their biggest treasure. They don’t work and they have very little to discuss and they are certainly not Ian’s choice of a relationship. But he usually takes them to dinner or hangs out with them, if he has nothing better to do. Thankfully, they are nothing like Jennifer, that independent lawyer colleague of him that makes him furious every time they meet. However, he has no choice but to work with her on Lord Beverly’s account. They actually have to spend a weekend at his estate in Scotland together and they have to be professional about it. That’s going to be tough!

I liked the dynamics between these two. They had this intensity between them, arguing all the time, that even a normal meeting would end up to a heated discussion. Sometimes it seemed like Jennifer was trying too hard to hate Ian. Maybe her up bring and family background had something to do with her constant effort to hate him. But as soon as Ian proposed the fake relationship and Jennifer agreed to that, I knew they were going to end up together after all!

I really liked the narration by Lizzie Wofford. The story had only one view, Jennifer’s view, and she was incredible in bringing her to life. She was also amazing doing Ian’s voice and I really liked how she did Ian’s grandfather! Her voice is one of the best for audiobooks, and I really enjoy listening to a book she narrates, especially when it’s about rom-coms and lovely books like this one!

"Love to Hate You" featured many of my favorite tropes. Enemies to lovers, fake dating, office romance. Their banter is fun and I found the book difficult to put down (or rather the audio difficult to stop listening to). Ultimately I do feel like this book isn't a particularly exceptional version of this type of story and the characters never felt fully fleshed out and three dimensional, but I will definitely be trying more of Anna Premoli's books soon and I will definitely recommend this one!

The tropes, the cover, and the blurb is what reeled me in to give this a try & I said 'sign me up'! Unfortunately, I came super close to just DNF this book because of how uninteresting the story fell to me. It was very hard for me to pick up every time I paused the book. & here is why:

1. Ian and Jennifer just lack that oomph& chemistry for me to fall in love or even in 'like' with them both.
2. Ian as a MMC is NOT it. He's pushiness would've been ok for me if it was a dark romance type of novel but for this book, his personality just made me not want to continue listening to it.
3. Jennifer just seemed forced and not in good way. Throughout she stated her dislike for him but there wasn't a point in the book where I was like awww she loves him now. All I thought was 'oh she just settled because she thinks he's cute'

Anyway, I do want to point out that I'm a total mood reader so maybe that had to do with me not liking this story but then again, it took me sooooooo long to actually want to finish this so who knows? Maybe I'd like other work from Anna Premoli, but this was not it for me.

These are the kind of tropes I live for! Enemies to lovers, fake dating, work place dating. Love it! I enjoyed the development of the story and their relationship.

This was a classic enemy to lovers book. Nothing really new from others I have read but still enjoyable.

This book would have ended up in my DNF pile if it wasn't for the audiobook narrator. The main characters Jennifer and Ian seem to dislike each other even when the end up together. Jennifer is constantly talked into/gives into things she doesn't want to do by Ian simply because she is attracted to him. This includes sex.

There was a scene in this book that made me so uncomfortable I had to turn it off and come back to it later. In this scene, Ian is in Jennifer's room. She tells him to leave, but he doesn't. She says several variations of the phrase "I feel like a prisoner" and yet she still sleeps with him. She's still trying to convince herself that she likes him even as she's agreeing to marry him.

The narrator is honestly the only thing in this book that worked for me.

This was an entertaining read! I enjoyed the main characters and their interactions, and even though some parts were predictable it was well written with good pacing. The narrator was great for this.
