Thank you to Ronin Books and to NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

I am a big pop culture fan so I thought this sounded like a really interesting book.

This book is extremely short but a really captivating story. I had no idea that Burt Reynolds woke up to the Skid Row Slasher in his room.

What a weird and captivating story. I could see this being turned into a film. I wish the book was a little longer.

I am not a big fan of burt, but love anything serial killer related, and was so shocked to learn that he had been terrorized by a serial killer. I could totally see a film based on this. Wish the book was a bit longer

I'm not sure if this is really a book. It reads like a long form article which is fine but not really what I expected. Ad odd part of Burt Reynold's life for sure but I wish there was more to it.

I enjoyed this book. I found it to be interesting but not realy something that I expected. An interesting take on Burt Reynolds and the situation. Parts of it had great growth and other parts were just okay. As a big fan of Burt Reynolds I was kind of let down but it is a interesting story.

Kyaizi’s book though informative and quick read feels like a Vanity Fair story piece that doesn’t seem to be able to fill out the whole of a book but this does not mean it does not have it’s merit.

He takes a little known story about Burt Reynolds, short relationship with Miko and then Dinah Shore at the time that his career was growing to become the super star that he would later become. As a source of interest there is an excellent Burt Reynolds documentary available through Sky Documentaries which doesn’t mention this chapter of his life interestingly enough.

The book is short but full on intrigue that will keep the reader invested and give details that are seldom revealed anywhere else. It’s a great little turn pager just kind of wish that it was more in depth about Burt Reynold’s as a person and given a full book treatment of his life.

It is a solid four stars though.

On February 3, 1975, movie star Burt Reynolds was awakened by a bloody man crawling on his bedroom floor. Burt jumped up to call an ambulance and came face to face with infamous Skid Row Slasher, bloody machete in hand. What saved Burt from disaster? What woman did he break up with that ultimately saved him, and probably her? A must read for Burt Reynolds fans. From the writer/director of the feature film Forbidden Power.

This is a short read: A true story written dramatically. Fascinating stuff!

Princess Fuzzypants here: This is a short story. A very short story. It will not take long to go cover to cover but it is a fascinating tale and one that I had never heard before.

Burt Reynolds was a star whose break out roles and self deprecating sense of humour made him a favourite. He was able to charm the ladies and none so much as Dinah Shore, 23 years his senior. Back in the 1970s that was very bold. The double standard of older man and younger woman was, and still is, accepted but this was long before cougars. What was evident was they both loved and respected each other deeply. He would say she was his soulmate but she would never marry him.

She did, however, save his life. And his ex-girlfriend Miko’s life too. Neither of them was in Burt’s house when it was invaded by the Skid Row Slasher. The psychopath was waiting for him to return home and when he did not, he took his machete and attacked Burt’s neighbour. It was a very exciting and dangerous story but the upshot is Burt was able to identify the killer and helped put him away. It proves not being in the right place at the wrong time can be as important as being in the right place at the right time.

Four purrs and two paws up.

I was given an early copy in exchange for and honest review. I watched everything Burt Reynolds ever made in the 70’s I was his biggest fan and about 20 years younger. So I was anxious to read this when i saw it was available. I don’t remember reading anything about Miko. I do remember reading about this major slasher incident when it happened but not in such detail, and I do remember his love for Dinah Shore he showed up unexpectedly on her show a few times. Which was always entertaining to watch the two together. It doesn’t talk about his Smokey and the Bandit days but This book was quite informative. If you were a fan of Reynolds like I was you will love this book. This was such a short read it left me wanting to read more. Evedn if you have never heard of him you will enjoy the book. This is quite an interesting story and to know this really happened. Thanks to #NetGalley, #Paul, Kyriazi, #Burt Reynolds,MiloDianahandtheSlasher.for the opportunity to review early.

Burt Reynolds, Miko, Dinah and the Slasher is the True Story of a Serial Killer Waiting in Burt's Closet by Paul Kyriazi. This extremely short story about a harrowing time in Burt Reynolds life was interesting. I think a lot more could have been done with it than just 20 short pages. I could see this being made into a movie. This almost feels like the first thoughts and ideas of a movie script. Burt was my favorite heartthrob when I was a teenager and I had never heard that he had been terrorized by a serial killer. The Skid Row Slasher targeted Burt and even dressed in Burt’s clothes and jewelry while waiting in his closet to kill him with a machete. Burt was very lucky to survive this attack, while his neighbor wasn’t so lucky. I like to thank NetGalley and the publisher, Ronin Books, for allowing me read this eARC.

When Burt Reynolds broke up with his girlfriend Meiko for Dinah shore he thought that would be the worst thing to happen that week, but he was wrong. Burt Reynolds has always said that dinosaur was the love of his life and his soulmate. What most people don’t know is the week he met her he also was almost killed by the skid row slasher. Although this book is short it tells the whole story and it’s a story I found so interesting. Ever since Smokey and the bandit I have always loved Burt Reynolds and had never heard of the story but now I have. It is a short read as I said but one I highly recommend. I received this book from netGally and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.

A (very!) short but interesting story I wasn't aware of - how a serial killer terrorised Burt Reynolds's neighbourhood, and the reason why Burt himself had a lucky escape.

An interesting tale of a very lucky break for Burt Reynolds, and a very horrible experience for his next door neighbor. Reynolds was out and about when a serial killer broke into his home with a machete, donned clothing from one of Burt’s acting jobs and a piece of his jewelry, to wait for him to come home. Burt was late so the slasher took his machete next door and brutalized his neighbor who crawled to Burt’s home for help with the slasher following him. Burt was lucky and police arrested the killer. A short story about a very lucky break.

Very interesting account of Burt Reynolds’ near brush with death at the hands of the Skid Row Slasher. The story is very short with almost no background on any of the players. I would like to read an extended version, but this is well worth the read.

Burt Reynolds, Miko, Dinah and the Slasher by Paul Kyriazi is an interesting short story that is also true.
The story of how the Skid Row Slasher waited in Burt Reynolds closer to kill the actor.
This is short, 29 pages, and I was not aware of some of the details in in the story.
Thank you to #NetGalley, #RoninBooks and Paul Kyriazi for the ARC of #BurtReynolds,Miko,DinahandtheSlasher.

This is a brief, but spellbinding, story about Burt Reynolds and how he escaped death from the Skid Row Slasher. It is really interesting, even if you are not a show business nut. It takes place in Los Angeles, so that holds interest for me, and, honestly, who doesn't know about Burt Reynolds and Dinah Shore. I knew nothing about Miko, and the author brings everything together in a taut, just right amount of pages to divert and entertain.

Felt rushed in show many ways, and while I had no idea about this case ,thus book sadly won't re read by me .

I'm not sure what this is supposed to be — a true crime essay? Flash fiction? Biography? Either way, it's so bad it's good 😂

The writing is abysmal, the text is ridden with typos and the POVs jump around. I'm not sure what story the author was trying to tell in 20 odd pages but it provides zero insight into the Skid Row Slasher and its victims. Neither am I familiar with Burt Reynolds but he sounds like a real douche.

Nevertheless, this was an entertaining read. It definitely piqued my curiosity and made me go on Google to look for proper, reliable and accurate information.
