I have just recently been introduced to Susan Lewis books when I was bought one to read on holiday. This is another great story full of mystery. You feel as if you are straight into this other life, watching a family and their friends from afar. A privileged family but one that have many secrets, both from each other and ones they are yet to discover. A great read from start to finish and I realised what was happening quite close to the end which was really clever. A great 2 months later epilogue too which left me with so many questions!

Another fantastic read from Susan Lewis, the story of Hanna and Jack as well as their family and friends. This book once more includes the brilliant Andee Lawrence, one of Susan’s cameo characters who pops up in many of her books.
Hanna has a secret, a dalliance with a lawyer at her husband’s firm, but with her twist. Husband Jack also has secrets of his own - but who is keeping extra secrets from their spouse and children, secrets that will have incredible repercussions for all concerned.

What a treat a book by Susan Lewis is!
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read and review.

I enjoyed No One Saw It Coming but I do feel they killed off a main character too early and then seemed to dive into utter chaos afterwards. What was a bit of a mystery (although it was obvious from the start about Riona). I was more interested in Jack and Hannah’s story and their complicated marriage. The story took a turn that took it from a strong thriller to a mixed up reason and Riona wasn’t really that interesting. Mixed feelings about this one as I really like Susan Lewis books.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Hanna and Jack have been married for a long time, they have two children Leo and Cait and a granddaughter. Cait’s relationship with her parents is strained and they don’t agree with her life choices. Seb is long time friend who has recently lost his wife to cancer. He meets Riona through a dating site after Leo assists him to set up a profile.

Jack is found murdered and everyone has a reason to murder him, but who carried out the crime?

A twist in the tale that makes you realise not all is as it seems.

Another great book by Susan Lewis. I found this to be fast paced with short sharp chapters which always led me to read just one more. The storyline was good and it had an ending I didn’t see coming. (Hence the title of the book)?

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

"No One Saw it Coming" is a classic Susan Lewis mystery/thriller affecting a family and their friends. In this book the family are Jack & Hanna, their 2 children and grand-daughter. They are well off and live in a large house in the Chew Valley south of Bristol. This doesn't necessarily mean that all is well as there are tensions in the family which increase as secrets come to light. This is another of Ms Lewis's books which features retired detective Andee Lawrence.

I don't want to give away any of the plot which is as well-written as you would expect. This is another great read from Susan Lewis.

Thanks to Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book.

I always enjoy author Susan Lewis' work but this was up there as one of my favourites. Having written so many novels it's amazing how she keeps on coming up with such unique and intriguing plots. And this was another well thought out and intruiging storyline, aptly titled as I certainly didn't forsee the plot developing as it did. It's also very hard to talk about without giving anything anyway so I'll keep my review short and sweet and simply say I loved it and totally recommend.

I love all of Susan Lewis's books and this one is no exception. I am not going to write a synopsis of this book as it will probably give things away.

It is basically written around Hannah, but the story is narrated from different characters viewpoints. It is fast moving and you don't want to put it down.

Murder and assaults take place but just who is responsible and why ?

Even though I Guessed eventually what was going on it was still an enjoyable read. I suggest that you give this book a try if you have never read any of Susan's books, you won't be disappointed and you will want to go back and read more

Never an easy feat to write a book and this was a good bit of work by Ms Susan.
Although far from being tightly paced or equally engaging in certain parts, it was certainly a pleasure to have been able to read the ARC. The plot is well imagined albeit it could have been woven more tightly with the conclusion coming in at a natural pace.

All in all, this was certainly a good read and I do look forward to reading more of the author's work.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK for approving a request to read and review.

Thank you to #NetGalley and #HarperCollins for my copy of #NoOneSawItComing by #SusanLewis.
Although I finished this book I definitely wouldn’t say it’s one of the best.
It seemed very contrived and the ending telegraphed early.

A slow burner which was very confusing in parts. Average read but came good about halfway along hence the three stars. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

Hanna has a rich, secure, trouble-free life. Blanche believes she’s Hanna’s sister, cruelly separated as a child. Blanche is wrong – so is Hanna.
Hanna is married to Jack Madden, Head of an eponymous, and hugely successful, property development company. They are pillars of the local community and live in a large mansion near Bristol. Major philanthropists, their life revolves around fund-raising social events for charities, including the Madden Foundation. However, all is not as smooth as it might be. Their son, Leo, is a student who had avoided being charged for an assault thanks to his father’s contacts, their daughter, Cait, aged eighteen, has a toddler and a huge chip on her shoulder, and Hanna is having a sexual relationship with the new company lawyer; Jack condones this because they have always had an open marriage. The family’s closest and oldest friend, Seb Goodman, is a university lecturer whose wife had died young, of cancer.
Blanche has recently moved into the area. She has a form of mental illness and is living in the community in a house with others, looked after by Riona Byrne, psychologist in residence, as part of a research project run by US based doctor. Blanche has seen Hanna in a picture taken at her mother’s funeral and has become fixated on her being the sister she remembers being separated from her when she was seven and the sister was three. By coincidence, Riona has met Seb on a dating site and is introduced to the family. She is beautiful, intelligent, and charming, and Hanna and Jack hope that Seb might find happiness with her. Tragedy is clearly just around the corner but for whom and for what reason?
The story is well written and the plot is well constructed, with some significant twists, although I did spot the main one quite early on (perhaps because I have recently reviewed two other books with the same twist). It is mainly told from Hanna’s point of view, with interpolations from Blanche. It is billed as a psychological thriller, but having a mentally ill protagonist doesn’t necessarily make it a psychological story, and having cumulative tragic events doesn’t necessarily make it a thriller. The dénouement is well handled, but the wrap up of all the threads afterwards seemed a bit too stretched.
I would like to thank NetGalley, the publishers and the author for providing me with a draft proof copy for the purpose of this review.

I have to admit that I did see one of the twists coming, and so it wasn't as much as a surprise for me as it maybe was meant to be. But it did not change how much I liked this book.

The characters are all so well written, it's like they're real people you actually know. I could relate to a few of them, as if they were my family members.

As much as I wanted to get to the end to find out what happened and why, I didn't actually want the book to finish where it did, I wanted to know more about what exactly the characters did next.

This book covers a topic I've not seen in other books, and is so well done, that it does make you think about the people around you. I don't want to say too much and spoil it, but it makes an interesting point.

I have no negatives about the book or the story line, would recommend it.

Wow! This is Susan Lewis at her absolute best! A totally gripping read.
Hanna and Jack lead a charmed life running a very successful business and living in the beautiful Lake House. Theirs is a very happy, long term marriage although not entirely monogamous. They share two adult children. Son Leo and daughter Caitlin who has a small child of her own. Seb is a close family friend and is also godfather to Leo and Caitlin. Seb is sadly widowed but is in a fledgling relationship with Riona. Andee and Graeme who have appeared in previous books are also good friends of Hanna and Jack. A shocking crime witnessed by Leo and Riona leads to a series of shocking incidents leaving Hanna desperate to discover exactly who is threatening her family. I certainly didn’t see it coming! I am a huge fan of Susan Lewis so was delighted to receive an E-arc in return for a review. My thanks to Netgalley and HarperCollins. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend

Good, with a surprising twist, but for me, not as gripping as some of Susan's other novels. It didn't help not being able to warm to Jack and Hanna, due mainly to their wealth, but also the way they slept with other people. Seb was lovely and it was great to meet Andee again too. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love Susan Lewis’ books. This one has lots of the aspects of her books that I love - great characters, interesting plots, focus on relationships, fast pace and relevant topics. It is slightly shorter than average but didn’t feel rushed.

It is hard to talk about the main theme without spoiling the book but I will say it is a topic that really interests me. I did see it coming but only because I have some knowledge of the topic. Seeing it coming didn’t spoil the suspense however as I still had to wait and see if I was right!

Great characters, always good to catch up with Andee, no matter how briefly.

A satisfying read.

The title of this book was so well chosen as this book made me guess and second guess only to find out I was way off the mark.

Although the start of the book is a bit of a slow burner it got me acquainted with the characters which added so much to the storyline as the pace of the book speeded up.

I feel if I start sharing some the story I may give some of the plot away and believe me the reader will appreciate finding out the twists and turns themselves.

This book is beautifully written. It introduced me to a condition I had previously never heard of and I love when a book educates me.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it without hesitation.

This story follows Hanna, happily married to Jack with two children, Leo and Cait. Leo is easy going and Cait is full of hate for her parents. She has a beautiful little girl who she adores, but Cait has gone off the rails and Sofia is the product of this time. Luckily Sofia's father is still around and is a great dad. Finally, Jenny who is Jack's step mother lives nearby. Seb is Jack's best friend since school and they still have a strong friendship. The reason I've told you all this is because on paper everything is normal. Every family has problems in there somewhere, sometimes hidden from sight. This is when the story really gets going. I found myself shocked and desperate to read on and I did!!. It was addictive!.
Susan Lewis can certainly write a tense story!. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next!! I loved how things could change in an instant and when I thought I knew what was happening, I would be totally thrown!.
Susan Lewis is quickly becoming one of my favourite psychological thriller writers.
I received a free ARC book for an honest review.

This is an interesting read, about complex relationships, mental health problems and jealousy. It was nicely paced, well written as always with this author and nicely plotted. But I couldn’t take to Hanna & Jacks family, I love Andee & Graeme, and have enjoyed the previous books Andees’ featured in. In fact I would have liked to read more about her investigations in this book. A good read. 3 1/2 ⭐️

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.
