A great romance book, I really enjoyed the tropes and found myself rooting for the couple! Thank you net galley for the review copy!
this was a fun read! I enjoyed TSLD when it first came out so finally got around to reading TARE and it was similar vibes! I feel like it had a good love story, good banter and some depth. I’m not sure which I preferred but would recommend!
What can I say about this one... except I loved it! It had so many of the features of The Spanish Love Deception that I adored but with a different spin on it. Just a delight to read.
If you love the close proximity trope, then this book is for you!!
A hot guy taking you out on dates to help with your writer block?.... yes please!!! The book follows Rosie and Lucas who end up living together is Elena’s apartment. Rosie is currently suffering from writer block, so Lucas suggests taking her on a bunch of experimental dates to help give her inspirations. Its safe to say that this book was filled with so many sweet, funny and lust filled moments which made it hard to put it down. Lucas and Rosie’s friendship was so cute and I loved the way it blossomed into something more as you progressed through the book.
Also, I want a dog like Taco lol
This is the second book in the series and while it can be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading The Spanish Love Deception first

I really enjoyed this sampler and look forward to seeing where the rest of the book goes. Hope to pick it up soon.
The sample chapter has got me really intrigued to see where this book goes. Can't wait to pick it up soon.
I saw so many mixed reviews about this one so i was a bit hesitant to pick it up!
However, i read this on holiday and it was the perfect read for by the pool. It was better than i thought it would be which was a nice surprise. I'm normally an enemies to lovers girlie but i enjoyed this slow burn friends to lovers vibe which had a great ending. It made me laugh, blush and cringe - but that's all part of the romance reading experience haha.
Would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a easy read!
It is a feel good book. It made me feel absolutely every emotion I could think of. It truly left me in awe and speechless. The way that with time, they both open up to each other, become such an integral part of the other ones life, is truly amazing. .
It is said that the only man who truly deserves you, is the one who thinks he doesn't.
This quote goes perfectly for Lucas. It was really lovely to get to know Rosie more after the Spanish love deception and get to follow her some more.
TARE was one of my most anticipated reads, and boy did @thebibliotheque deliver! Lucas and Rosie’s romance were incredibly pure, sweet, and steamy.
I normally root for the dark-haired morally grey love interests, but I couldn’t stop myself from falling for Lucas and his golden retriever self. Elena Armas has given us a man who will sing ABBA, cook, say sweet Spanish words and come up with the most romantic experimental dates to help overcome your writers block. Total swoon worthy!
I liked Rosie as a mc much more than I thought I would. She was a lot more relatable than Lina with her anxieties and struggles with her job and family.
Although this was a romance book, there were moments when I got teary-eyed because of how both Rosie and Lucas undermined themselves. It was great seeing them both realise their potential and blossom into a couple.
I loved, loved, loved seeing the snippets of Aaron and Lina! Elena knew what her readers wanted, and she delivered.
There’s nothing left for me to say except for if you’ve not read/added TSLD and TARE to your tbr, then you should go do so immediately!!!!
I adored Elena Armas last book and couldn’t wait for a taste of her second novel!
I was IMMEDIATELY hooked by the main character and loved the meeting of her and the love interest! The humour and fun was already present in just this first chapter and I will definitely be buying the full book now that it is released! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this sample read of chapter one.
I’ll be honest, I forgot the offering of a sample chapter was even a thing and thought this was the whole book! Enjoyable but not possible yet to say whether it would be a five star but yes, enjoyable!
I really enjoyed the spanish love deception so i was super excited to read this book too. I enjoyed this so much more than the first book.
Forced proximity yes please, Usually slow burn romances can irritate me but this one added to the story and it was everything. I loved the characters so much which is so important in a romance. If i dont like the characters i don't root for them but this book and the characters were written wonderfully.
Excited to read what this author releases next
Great sample chapter. Super excited to see where this goes and how the relationship develops and where it takes us
A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable and varied, the plot is one that is engaging and medium paced. I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.
I 2as so excited to be able to read this ARC after loving the authors debut novel. It didn't disappoint! Spicy scenes, laugh out loud interactions & a fun 0lot. Perfect holiday read.
Loved this book so much! I thought the characters were very likeable and probably preferred this one to the 'Spanish love deception'
The American Roomate Experience
I was happily given an excerpt from this upcoming Elena Armas novel The American Roomate Experience and I can’t wait to read the whole book! This comes off the back of much excitement garnered from my reading of The Spanish Love Deception recently.
Thank you so much to @netgalley for this excerpt in exchange for an honest review.
This book is way overhyped. Yes, this is a sample book but I've already read the full book. Honestly, it was just an okay read and it has its moments.
didn’t expect it to only be the first chapter but nevertheless i loved the start of rosie and lucas and can’t wait to read the rest
