The opening chapter sampler of The American Roommate Experiment really packed a punch and left me wanting more. I love the way the author got straight into the main action of the story right from the opening sentence. I could already tell there is going to be great chemistry between the two unexpected roommates and I enjoyed the writing style that allowed us into the main characters thoughts allowing for some humour. I’d love the opportunity to read the rest of this Elena Armas book.

Brilliant chapter that’s given a great insight into the characters and the writing style. I feel like you get a great introduction into the humour that’s going to be used throughout the book which instantly drew me in. I also liked that Lina was introduced so quickly in the chapter so that you get a sense of familiarity from the first book, and I feel like it draws you to the main character a lot quicker.

I didn't think I could get more excited for this book, but I am. I absolutely adored Lina and Aaron's story and I'm excited to get snippets of them during Rosie and Lucas' and I'm a sucker for a forced proximity story.

Its safe to say this sampler did its job, I'm hooked!

I can already feel The Spanish Love Deception vibes and even in the first chapter it's made me smile and feel connected to the characters.

A great start to what I imagine will be a great romance and I cant wait to read the rest and see how things progress with Rosie and Lucas.

I loved Elena's debut and am so excited to read this one!

From the first chapter, it looks very promising, with links to characters from the previous book. The premise is ey intriguing - can't wait to read the whole thing.

I just devoured this while at work (Do not tell my boss!!). I love a clumsy and "unlucky" female character (so relatable...) and Lucas seems so sweet already. Brilliant first chapter. I ABSO-LU-TELY can't wait for this to be out. So excited!

In the few pages that are part of this sample, I smiled at it, I chuckled and I instantly want more! The warm and fuzzy 'it feels like you're reading about a friend' feeling of Armas' debut is present here again and I can't wait for the full book!

The Spanish Love Deception is one of my favorite books, and so I am extremely excited to read Armas’ new book! This chapter sampler has made me even more excited than I already am to read this book; it was so good! I love how there are links to characters from her previous novel as I think it really ties the books together and makes them feel more personal. I can’t wait for the 6th September and will be preordering this book!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for this chapter sampler.

Elena has such a talent in giving characters readers get attached to instantly and I know just by reading this first chapter TARE will be no different.

The sampler really got me hooked very quickly. I was disappointed that the sampler ended because I wanted to read the entire book due to liking it so much.

I look forward to reading more of Rosie and Lucas' story.

Thank you so much for the first chapter of the roommate experiment. It definitely hit the spot and now I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of the book. Such a great opening chapter, I think we all have a brand new book boyfriend 😏😉😂

My only complaint is that this sampler was too short. 😂

I need this book, I need it now. From the beginning chapter alone I can tell I’m going to love every second!

Let me just be clear, I loved the Spanish Love Deception and I have multiple copies and re-read it multiple times... but from this small extract, I believe that the American Roommate Experiment will either have the same love or exceed my TSLD love.
Rosie and Lucas' meet cute is so original and hilarious!!
Their introduction to each other, even with an obstruction slash without visualisation of each other, had major chemistry and fire!!

I hope I get a full eARC when it becomes available, as even with the tiniest crumb of a crumb.. I CANNOT WAIT to read this!!

(and bonus points for the tiniest but as a major squeal alert update on Lina and Aaron!!)
