My heart is full and happy after reading this book! Let it Snow is much more than a Christmas romance—it is about family, community, being true to yourself, and about love, too, of course. Bea is a truly endearing character, sort of floundering when we first meet her; she’s broken up with her long-term boyfriend, her working life is a bit wonky, and she’s less than thrilled about spending the holidays with her family (whom she loves—but it’s complicated). And when she arrives at her family home she finds Henry—son of an old family friend, and a kind of nemesis to her awkward self as she was growing up. I fell a bit in love with Henry myself, as he shows Bea not only how he feels deep down, but also how he lets her be her true and authentic self. There are many layers to this story, but at its heart there are wonderful characters who are imperfect, who argue and disappoint, and although they don’t always find the best ways to show it, they love and admire each other deeply. This book will be high on the list of my all-time favorite holiday books!

Let me just say, when I first saw Let It Snow by Beth Moran, I kept thinking of the song "Let It Go". The cover just gave me Hallmark movie vibes, just the cutest. I liked this book, but it took me a while to actually get into the story. I really wanted to love this book, but it just felt so bland to me. It was still a good story, but it wasn't my favorite Christmas book. It felt like the romance didn't happen until the last ten percent of the book. This was my first book by Beth Moran, but I will definitely check out her other books in the future, and hopefully have better luck. I'm not sure if it was slow paced, or I couldn't get into the story because of where it took place. Even though it wasn't my best book, I still recommend it to other readers. Please do yourself a favor and pick up this book, a cozy blanket, and a cup of tea/hot chocolate. Or even a glass of wine, for the wine lovers out there. Let It Snow is an enemies to lovers trope. THANK YOU TO NETGALLEY AND BOLDWOOD BOOKS FOR AN ARC OF THIS BOOK!!!!!!Bea Armstrong is a weather reporter for the East Midlands News. As a weather reporter, Bea gives you a prediction for what the weather is going to be like, but she also answers questions from viewers live while wearing quirky holiday weather outfits, okay I thought this was the cutest thing ever. Bea is trying to figure out who her heart belongs to, but she doesn't have the best taste in men when it comes to looking for someone that she really wants in terms of their characteristics. After Bea ended her long term relationship with rock star, Adam she has been avoiding her family and their "I told you so's", but with Christmas fast approaching, Bea is finally on her way home to Charis House, the school that her parents own. Charis House is a school for those children who need a second chance, wether they got kicked out of a different school or for whatever other reasons. Bea's family does so much during the Christmas holiday. The insufferable, Henry Fairfax, who Bea's parents always wanted her to marry, has been invited to Charis House for Christmas. Bea and Henry have always been childhood best friends. Henry has always been super smart, and I felt like Bea was somewhat jealous because she wasn't as smart as Henry. Relief comes through when Bea is offered an interview for her dream job, Bea had no clue this was going to happen because someone has been hacking into her email. But with this interview there are a few minor issues, the interview is in Scotland, Bea doesn't have a car, and the snow is already falling. There's only one solution, Henry has to drive her. Could this Christmas get any worse for Bea? During the two day interview, a stay in a log cabin, some obstacles and competition to get this job, and a nightmare journey through the snow, Henry and Bea have some time to talk, it turns out Henry isn't anything what Bea thought him to be. On top of all this, Bea's grandma falls and hits her head and is now unconscious. I loved Henry and Bea, but I wanted more romantic interactions to happen to them early on in the story, instead of until the last ten percent of the book. Adam, Bea's ex-boyfriend annoyed me, he focused on his music career more than focusing on his relationship with Bea. I feel like Bea deserved way more than what Adam had to offer, I couldn't stand how he came back into Bea's life for a second chance way before trying to talk about the past and how he could have helped their relationship. I absolutely adored Bea's family, they were just the sweetest souls, but a bit hard headed at times, they made me laugh when they had family gatherings. The only thing I would change about her family was how her parents weren't more understanding about Bea's dream to be the top weather reporter. The Christmas festivities were just on point, the weather themed outfits, I LOVED IT!!!! To anyone else who reads this book, don't let this review stop you from reading it, you may have better luck than me.

Let It Snow by Beth Moran is a sweet slow-burn romance about a weather girl and a boy from her childhood.

This enemies to lovers book set at Christmas is holiday reading at its best...though it's August and plus 30 🤣

4.25 stars

I really enjoyed my first novel by this author. I say first because I will definitely look into her other books now!

Bea was quirky without being over done and eye rolling. And Henry, I loved his character and the glimpses from the past we saw of his feelings revealed.

This closed door romance had a little bit of heart ache and heart tugs.

There are other plot lines around the house that became an alternative school possibly closing and a bit of a family mystery and Bea with her career (including one outlandish interview storyline) so admittedly I did skim some parts. But anything revolving Bea, Aaron, and Henry I was there for - I don’t usually rate anything in the 4 or 5 if I have to skim parts so clearly I was enamored enough with the love story.

Thank you for the eARC!

Okay, seems like an unpopular opinion. I loved the cover, really like the blurb, and unusual profession and all that but I couldn't relate to the writing style, the characters and the bonding of the protagonists (which is, as a reader, really important to me).

The Christmas flashbacks didn't interest me. Thank you for the opportunity to read this story but, sadly, it didn't work for me.

Unfortunately i didnt love this one. There were a lot of plots/subplots that were hard to keep track of. I also didnt connect with Bea or particularly root for her. The writing was necessarily bad I just found myself bored. DNF at 40%

I’ll start by firstly saying that I am a HUGE fan of Beth Moran- so much so, I have read 4 of her previous books within the last couple of months. I was delighted to receive the opportunity to read Let It Snow, thanks to NetGalley.

Perhaps because I am such a huge fan of Moran’s, I find it hard to admit that I really struggled to keep my cynical (and impatient) inner voice at bay whilst reading this particular novel! As other reviewers have stated, this book seemed to have a multitude of different plots going on all at the same time. Because of this, I found it really hard to build up much of an image/relatability with the protagonist and other main characters. I also found myself getting frustrated, especially during Bea’s interview process. It felt like a complete waste of part of the book, almost like it was used to fill the pages (with quite unbelievable circumstances too), whereas it would’ve been much better to have developed Bea’s career/home/romance side, all from the setting of Charis House, whilst building on the relationships between the characters.

I’m really sad to say all this because Moran’s character development and plots are exactly why I love her writing so much. Usually, her books are full of depth and so relatable, mixed with deeper issues and lighter romance (highly recommend her other books to fellow readers!), but it’s here that this book failed.

In no way was this a bad book: in fact, I can quite happily give it 4 stars. If another author had written this, I would’ve been happy to have spent my holiday reading it; however, my expectations for Moran are high and I can’t help feeling she’s missed her usual mark with this one.

Give it a go- you may think differently to me. But I urge anyone to read Moran’s other novels and fall in love with her writing the same way I have!

This Christmas fairytale is a lovely book with lots of ingredients that I appreciated, such as the house for teenagers with behavioural issues and and challenges, mentioning Byron with his debilitating condition, and the interaction between Bea, Henry and the kids.

However, it was al a bit too good to be true to be honest. Being a chronic myself, it is not just flat characters such as Baxter, Summer and Mike who can be bullies, I found out the hard way.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the book

At first appearances this is a rather wintery, Christmassy book but I didn't find it that full on Christmas, I mean there's the Christmas Spectacular and all the snow but the focus was definitely on Bea and her journey that a Christmas spotlight. This didn't ruin the book for me though and actually made it a really nice intro into the Christmas reads - I do love the snow but it is a pain when you're trying to travel so I could definitely sympathise with Bea on this!

I really liked Bea as a character and felt like there was definitely something to develop between her and Henry, I mean he just sounded like such a cute character and you could tell he'd been harbouring feelings about Bea since their school days! However, Adam was never far from the scene and it kept seeming like he was working his way back into Bea's life even though she couldn't trust him and had been on the break up:make up roundabout quite a few times before.

This book definitely didn't lack in that community feeling that you get at Christmas, with Charis House being the main setting you could tell how much this place meant to everyone who had passed it's doors and the family relationships between the Armstrongs was lovely to be a part of. My favourite scene though was the one out in the garden - no guesses needed there!

A lovely read that has set me up perfectly for the autumn/winter season and lots of cosy books and blankets, I can't wait to read more like this now!

Charming and addictive!

I am a sucker for Christmas Romances and Let it Snow by Beth Moran delivered! I could not put this book down. I was swept away by the slow burn.

The enemies-to-lovers trope( even if it was more one sided) was done perfectly. The pressure Bea felt from her parents at a young age to end up with Henry, created unnecessary tension. She was so focused on proving her parents wrong, that she projected her own insecurities and fears onto Henry.

Henry by far was my favorite character. He is the classic good guy who often gets overlooked by women. He is the type of man I always root for and was happy to see him win the girl in the end!

An added bonus, the forced proximity Bea and Henry often found themselves in was delicious. It was only in these moments that we got to see how compatible the two really were. It definitely made for some fun scenes and helped develop their relationship.

The one critique I have is that the book felt a tad too long. The sub-plot of discovering who Nana Joy’s mystery man was could have been omitted. It didn’t bring a lot to the story.

Special thanks to Boldwood Books NetGalley.com for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

Let It Snow is such a fun book to read during the hot summer months. The book takes place at Christmas in Scotland and England. This book will leave you wanting more as you'll fall in love with the characters and the setting. This is my first Beth Moran book, but I'll definitely be reading more.

Let It Snow is about the life of Bea Armstrong as she has decisions to make about her job, her boyfriend, her future, and her family. Bea's a weather person on television and has many fans in her hometown. A national company wants her to come interview for a weather job that would put her in front of way more people and therefore give her more influence. Bea has promised her family that she'd be home for Christmas. When she arrives they've got an itinerary for each day leading up to Christmas and following Christmas. Bea is very close to her parents, her brother, and her grandmother, Nana Joy. She finds out about the interview with the national conglomerate once she arrives home.

Her childhood friend, Henry, is at her home when she arrives. Bea's parents and Henry's parents have always told them that they would end up married as adults. They've heard this since they were young kids and they both hate hearing it again and again. Bea is in a bind as the interview is in London, but she has no car. There's a snowstorm headed their way and she doesn't know how she can go. Henry offers to drive her there, wait the 2 days of the interview, and drive her back home in time for Christmas Eve. At first Bea rejects the idea not wanting to be alone with Henry for that long and not wanting him to miss out on the Christmas activities.

Bea decides to let Henry drive her and as they get to know each other as adults, Henry is not at all what Bea remembers. She finds herself having feelings she's never felt for Henry along the way. Adam is Bea's ex who is a singer in a band. He and Bea have been on and off over 10 years, but Adam always chooses his music career over Bea. Adam is excited that Bea is interviewing close to his home and wants to get back together with her. He tells her he's giving up his music career and wants to be with her. How will the interview go? Will Bea decide to go with the national channel or stay with her hometown tv channel? Will Bea decide to give Adam another chance? Will Bea decide Henry is the man for her?

I read this book in 2 days and enjoyed every minute of it. I was totally invested in the decisions that Bea would make. If you love a book that gives you all the feels and makes you feel good than this is the book for you! I'd like to thank NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an advanced copy of Let It Snow in exchange for a fair review. Be sure to pick this book up on August 30, 2022. #LetItSnow #NetGalley

Firstly I’d like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for the eARC ❤️❤️

Let It Snow is the super cute story of local weather girl Bea Armstrong and her first Christmas home in a fair few years. In between splitting with partner of 12 years and having a bit of a tough time at work Bea’s hoping for a quiet and relaxed one but the Armstrongs don’t do quiet Christmas’ and when Bea gets home she walks in to see her old school nemesis Henry Fairfax sitting in her parents front room!! When she gets a last minute job interview in Scotland and Henry offers to drive her things start to change between them. Now she knows this Christmas isn’t going to be a normal one…

Let It Snow is so adorable!! 😍😍 I love that Bea and Henry go on adventures and all the forced proximity just made me go crazy!! 😍😍 The are-they-enemies-to-lovers?? trope was brilliant too!! ❤️❤️ The shack/cottage will live rent free in my mind forever!! I love a good love triangle too so when Adam turned up I was in absolute heaven!!

Christmas is my favourite time of the year and this book made me feel completely Christmassy in August 🥰❤️ It’s warm, cosy and a massive Christmassy romantic hug!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 (1 of them is for Henry alone because he’s lovely 😏❤️)

"Just trust in the people you love"
Bea - she's a pretty big deal. A weather forecaster, with a following who love her, call her "Our Bea". She really knows her stuff, she loves her people.
But her love life is a mess. Her family life seems like a burden. She doesn't think her family is proud of her. So spending the Christmas holiday sounds like a bad idea, but she's already made the commitment. She has the time off from work. And then the family drops a bomb shell. And then a job offer is presented. And then an old friend offers to drive. Everything that can go wrong - or right - does ..... and it becomes the a-ha moment of her life that she didn't realize she needed.
Christmas, family, old flame, new flame, a skeleton in the closet, and an idea that saves the day. Fabulous!!!!

This is one of my favorite books I've read recently. There's several plots throughout the book, but the main is an enemies to lovers between Bea and Henry. The setting is when Bea has a forced vacation from work as a meteorologist and goes to visit her parents and family for Christmas. While home, there's a jam packed schedule, but then Bea gets a job interview. After a crazy job interview that involves traveling through the snow, ice and no hotels with Henry and an eccentric potential-boss, Bea comes back to realize her parents school is closing, she has adoring fans, she might love Henry, and finds who her grandfather might be. There's also when her ex boyfriend of eleven years shows up at her parents house. Talk about twists and turns! I enjoyed all the stories within the larger plot. Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC.

I loved the flashbacks to the previous Christmases throughout the book, this really meant you were able to get to know the characters and fall in love with them.
I loved the story running alongside the love life plot that kept things interesting.
I really fell in love with Bea's quirky and fabulous family.
A perfect lighthearted and dreamy christmas read, perfect ro snuggle up with!

Let It Snow
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Romance
Format: Kindle eBook
Date Published: 8/30/22
Author: Beth Moran
Publisher: Boldwood Books
Pages: 367
Goodreads Rating: 4.04

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Boldwood Books and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

Synopsis: Bea Armstrong has been avoiding her family. But with Christmas fast approaching, she is finally on her way to their old family home. The insufferable Henry Fairfax – her parents choice – has also been invited. She has a last-minute interview for her dream job. The interview is in Scotland, she has no car, and the snow is falling already. The only solution is for Henry to drive her – could this Christmas get any worse… But during an unforgettable two-day interview, a stay in a log cabin and a nightmare journey through the snow, Henry turns out to be nothing like she thought. And when Bea’s first love and recent ex shows up, Bea has a difficult choice to make…

My Thoughts: This was a slower burn novel, it was necessary to build the story and its about Christmas, what’s not to love?? This is a classic enemies to lovers trope, which is one of my favorite tropes. This was just a very sweet festive romance book that just put me in a good mood after reading. The characters were well developed with depth, witty banter, chemistry, and creatively written. I loved the MCs and felt connected with them. I did not care for the ex, he was probably written as a selfish self-centered characters to enhance the MC relationship. The author’s writing style was complex, swoony, light humor, fun, and kept me engaged cover to cover. The author did a brilliant job of describing Scotland and setting the tone of the book, I felt like I was there riding along. I love all things Christmas, especially books and Hallmark movies, this book was no exception, I would highly recommend picking up when it is released next week.

A wonderful story about Christmas and going home for the holidays
Bea loves her family but she doesn't love how her mother plans every minute of the holidays that you hardly have the time to breathe. But she goes home anyways....
Little did she know that her childhood nemesis was going to be at Charis House as well....her parents want her to marry Henry but Bea just doesn't agree with them. But as fate would have it...they end up going on a road trip to Scotland for a job interview that Bea really wants to land...she thinks this job will finally make her family notice her...Bea seems to think that her family thinks she is a nobody.
I found the characters of the book rather comical, Bea needing her family to except her job and Henry, just wants to get to know Bea a little bit better. I know if I had a mother like Bea's I would dread going home for Christmas....Christmas is time for families to get together and have fun...not an itinerary that doesn't give you much time do anything else.
The writing was good the story kept my interest. I would read another book by Beth Moran...
I would recommend this book if you like rom-com's during the holidays

Let it snow is a fun and clean slow burn Christmas Romance that follows Bea as she tries to figure out what she wants out of life. After the break up of her long term relationship and some bad days at work, weather girl Bea heads home to Charis House, a school that gives kids a second chance run by her parents, and her family home. Being home for Christmas with her quirky family and family friend Henry, the last person she wants to spend the holidays with, is making everything worse.

I became extremely invested in Bea’s career journey and all of the relationships in this story. I enjoyed the flashbacks to Bea’s childhood that helped to explain the way she feels and reacts towards some people and situations she finds herself in.

This was quick-paced and hard to put down. It was everything I look for in a cozy Christmas read.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a slow-burn holiday rom-com with an enemies-to-lovers trope. This was my first book by Beth Moran, but I have already added more to my TBR.
