What a super, enchanting story, filled with warmth, love and Christmas cheer, but what I really loved was where it was set, it was wonderful to recognise familar places, even where I work! Thanks Beth for an amazing book
Let it Snow is a sweet Christmas romance. It is set around Christmas with flashbacks to Christmas’s past. It is about a woman going after what she wants and dealing with her family no matter how ill placed their actions are.
I loved the coziness of this book and the surprises. About halfway through the book. I thought it was over but there was so much more story to tell. If you like Hallmark type romances, you will enjoy this book.
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I love a good Christmas book. This was the winter version of a beach read 🙂
As a self-declared Christmas fanatic, I was hoping for more from this book. There was a lot going on and only one of the story lines was Christmas focused, the rest could’ve easily been written in any season.
My favourite story line was obviously the family Christmas storyline, and I think if there wasn’t another four plots going at the same time, this could’ve been developed into a full Christmas cuddle of a book.
Overall it was a good read, just missing the full Christmas effect I was hoping for.
Thanks NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this copy of this book. These thoughts are my own.
I don’t want to go into too much detail and give stuff away but this is seriously one of my favorite Christmas books I’ve ever read. It’s so freaking cute.
Great and hilarious family ✔️
Friends to lovers ✔️
Amazing story ✔️
Ex who needs to go away ✔️
Jealous coworker who gets what she deserves ✔️
All I’m saying is, is that you really need to read this story. This story really teaches you about family and also sticking up for yourself towards family and coworkers. I throughly enjoyed reading this. I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. I sat down planning to only read half today and half tomorrow but I ended up reading it in one sitting because I loved it that much and couldn’t put it down.
I’ll definitely be buying an actual copy. Thank you again for an arc!
I loved this Christmassy book! I loved seeing what would happen with Henry and Adam once Bea decided what she wanted from life. I didn’t want to see her get hurt again and I love how she stayed true to herself with love and her career. A cute little Christmas story! Thanks for the chance to review!
Let It Snow is a cute and fun Christmas romance that follows a weather girl Bea Armstrong as she is trying to figure out who her heart belongs to, but also what a dream job should and shouldn't look like. Add in unavoidable holiday drama and you have the perfect read for the Christmas break.
I enjoyed reading Let it Snow. I thought there were lots of Christmassy vibes and think I would adore an Armstrong Christmas.
It didn't feel particularly fast paced or a pagecturner, but that's not what I look for in my Christmas comfort reads. I liked the main character and felt she was unique in many ways.
I especially liked the fact details that often crop up in these books wasn't present; such as body shaming, calorie counting.
I don't think anything majorly new happens in Let it Snow, but I did think the story felt fresh with lots of festive charm. Just what the gorgeous cover predicts.
Bea is a weather girl but is starting to feel that someone is out to get her when she keeps getting into trouble at work for missing meetings etc when she knows nothing about them, she thinks it's the latest recruit Summer but can't prove it.
Her presence is required for a family Christmas which she doesn't really want to go to but doesn't have a choice so after a works drinks party that again she knew nothing about she sets off. When she arrives she discovers that an old friend Henry has also been invited.
Bea always thought Henry was a geek plus the fact both families kept trying to marry them off makes her wonder what is in store ?
Won't spoil it by saying anymore, but loved it. A fab read
Thank you NetGalley, Beth Moran and Boldwood Books for the ARC of Let It Snow. This is my personal review.
This book had so much in it, and it all made me feel warm and cozy. Bea was a friend I would like to have in my life.
Henry fit in the story perfectly.
Tossing in a snowstorm and a car ride never to be forgotten. Loved it all!
Nothing is better than curling up with a good romance set during the holidays. And the characters fit so great together and made the story a great read.
After Bea's long term relationship ended she avoided returning home to her family because of painful memories and the awkward questions she wanted to avoid.
She heads home for Christmas only to have her parents have a surprise guest join them... Henry her Chilhood nemesis, Henry who her parents have wanted her to marry her entire life!
Not only that but this Christmas is far from relaxing due to her Mother's indepth schedule. But there's more to the schedule than it first appeared!
I loved Bea's passion for her job as a weather girl and quite liked the story line with the very eccentric weather challenges ( think amazing race style)I loved the road trip with the very sweet Henry who reminded me of Leonard from the big bang theory.
There were a lot of plotlines to follow, but it wasn't difficult to keep track of them because they all neatly fitted together at the end. I would have loved to see more of Bea and her chosen love together although it was the ending I was hoping for.
I love that Bea stuck to her beliefs, reached her goals and got the guy!
All in all this was an enjoyable Christmas story that i would recommend to any one who's a fan of:
Slow burn
Minimal to no spice
Christmas storyline
Families
Friends/enemies to lovers.
I loved this cozy holiday rom-com! This book is about weather girl, Bea Armstrong who goes home to spend Christmas with her family for the first time in a few years. She's looking for a new job and she just got out of a relationship with her childhood sweetheart! When she gets home, she runs into Henry Fairfax, a man from her past. This was a quirky, adorable story full of substance. I loved this charming story!
When eth writes aa novel you know you will get a good read, she is a great author.. Lovely Christmas story and one to curl up with, well worth 5 stars.
Thanks to netgalley and publisher for this ARC
🌨🎀Snowy & festive: romantic element could have been stronger❄
My expectations were a bit high after loving a previous Beth Moran novel (Just the Way You Are) and this story, while it celebrated family, staying true to yourself and the holiday spirit, was good but not great. Bea, the weather reporter lead character, has her hands full even before she ends up in a romantic quandary involving two men.
There was so much going on and I would have preferred more romancing between Bea and the guy who wins her heart. Instead there's a wacky job interview contest, adventures and challenges with the snowy weather, coping with Bea's family's extensive holiday expectations, a scramble to fill a huge hole in the family school's budget, a search for a missing family member and a lot more. It all made for a longer book in which the slow-burn romance got diluted by the other parts of the plot.
The family scenes have a cute bite to them and it's great that the lead character is such a likable woman. Just wish it had been more focused on the romance.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
❄️ Book review! ❄️
Let it Snow follows Bea, TV meteorologist who is tasked with a week off from her harrowing schedule to spend time with her family. The time off is dually motivated by pleasing her mom and following the “Christmas itinerary,” in addition to “resting up” — since her latest break-up with long time boyfriend, Adam, Bea’s work ethic has struggled a bit. The tasks seem a bit contradictory, yes? Add in Bea’s parents’ bff’s son, Henry — who Bea feels 🙄 towards. Oh, and for a little spice, a last minute cross-country trip to Scotland (with Henry), to interview for a national news meteorologist job. But wait, there’s more — Bea’s family’s business is about to go under.
I’m not sure if I’ve gushed about my absolute LOVE of the holidays and Christmas, but here it is — I. LOVE. CHRISTMAS. Luckily, my guy is equally obsessed, so we celebrate early and hard.
This book was pretty lovely. The characters had depth, and the flashbacks of FMC Bea gave even more depth to the characters and the inevitable coming together of her and her “childhood nemesis.” Just when I started yelling at Bea for being a dumb woman, she gave herself a mental slap in the face for me. Witty banter was present but not overbearing, which I actually really liked! The vibe of the power of authenticity also really struck a chord with me. The whole “time/growing up gave Bea perspective on Henry” was a bit ad nauseum, but the story had enough going on to allow me a quick eye roll at end of every few chapters before becoming engrossed again.

Overall, it’s a solid ☺️ (4/5) for me. It felt a little dragged out, and at times there was a lot going on, but I appreciated the character development (even if it was a reaaallllly slow burn).
4.5 ⭐
I missed him nudging me with his elbow and giving a sidelong look that confirmed we were thinking precisely the same thing. I missed knowing he’d got my back, and if I needed it he’d take my hand, too.
Themes & vibes:
• slowburn snowy Christmas romance
• home for the holidays
• childhood "enemies"/friends to lovers
• sweetheart love interest
• only one bed & come close so we don't freeze to death
• single POV, dual timeline
Let It Snow is a cute and fun Christmas romance that follows a weather girl Bea Armstrong as she is trying to figure out who her heart belongs to, but also what a dream job should and shouldn't look like. And all that while trying to navigate unavoidable holiday family drama.
I loved how cozy this book felt. Lots of snow, lots of family and community vibes. A bit of romance. Just what I'd expect from a Christmas read.
If there's anything I'd change, I would probably add some more angst and sparks between the MCs. Also, maybe there were too many plot points to follow in just one book, although I can't say it bothered me that much.

Four and a Half Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭒
Let it Snow by Beth Moran is just the right mixture of love, romance, and emotion. This holiday romance is perfect to cozy up to on a cold winter evening.
Bea Armstrong is a local weather presenter for her local East Midlands News, she prides herself on her personal touch to presenting the weather and her involvement in the community. But her recent breakup from Adam after an eleven-year relationship, her performance on the job has been less than stellar. Missing meetings and deadlines can be attributed to her lack of focus after the break-up, or is it something else?
She decides to go home to visit her parents for the holiday at Charis House, a home for struggling students, that her parents run and have dedicated their lives to. Once at Charis House for the holidays, Bea is dismayed to learn that the insufferable Henry Fairfax will also be at her parent's house for the holidays. However, when she gets a call for a dream job interview, it’s Henry who decided to brave the snow-covered, icy roads and help her get to her interview in Scotland. Bea starts to realize that Henry is more than the annoying childhood friend she grew up with.
I loved this enemies-to-lovers story very much. The characters were wonderful and I enjoyed them all. Bea is just as cute as can be and I love the way she takes care of her weather listeners and her community. Henry is a lot deeper than we first realize and he’s a nice balance to Bea’s outgoing nature. I just loved Bea’s family. They are not perfect, but I liked their dedication to the school and the students who need a second chance.
I really enjoyed the crazy 2-day job interview for Bea and loved how they included Henry in the interview. And I loved that weather was such an important part of the plot as Bea is a weather presenter!
I highly recommend Let It Snow by Beth Moran to anyone who enjoys romance and women’s fiction. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
This is the story of Bea, she works as a weather forecaster, but she’s not looking forward to going home for Christmas with her family, who have their fun, silly but loved traditions.
She feels that she’s in a rut with her job and her relationship is unresolved. When she gets home, she’s faced with two options, on both fronts, suddenly she’s having to make decisions, as well as making time to be with her family, ensuring she’s not upsetting anyone, especially her parents, wanting to be with them as they’ve also got some hard decisions to make.
The characters were lovely, made me laugh and cry.
I recommend this book.

This ticked all of my boxes for a holiday romcom. It was a fun, fluffy romp through a winter snowstorm with Bea and Henry. I loved the flashbacks that the author interspersed throughout, they were perfect for adding extra context but there weren't so many of them that the story got bogged down. There was a LOT going on in this book, but that made it more dynamic and gave it more substance than your typical holiday romance. "Let It Snow" was so much fun, and I highly recommend it for your holiday TBR!
I really, really, really wanted to love this book. If something is promoted as a festive book and has a wintery title and a front cover that screams Christmas, I expected something more. There are so many plot lines going on in this book that it's was work to keep track.
