I LOVED this book so much! It gave me Christmas feels and the romance was great! It was such a fun, cute story!
Let It Snow by Beth Moran was a lovely, feel-good read! I thought the story was enjoyable and the characters were likeable. A fantastic read!
I thought this book was great. Bea and her whole family were very likeable, not to mention the lovely Henry Fairfax. There was loads going on, from the crazy job interview, to the grandma, to the Christmas spectacular. I never got bored and through it all was the question of which man should Bea go for- Adam or Henry,
Hugely enjoyable and my first book by Beth Moran. I’ll absolutely be reading others.
I received an E-ARC with a request for my honest review.
This Christmas Romance follows Bea Armstrong, a weather broadcaster for the local TV news station.
She is home for the week of Christmas the first time since splitting up with her long-term boyfriend Adam, when she finds that her parents have invited Henry Fairfax who she used to know from school. They weren’t really friends, more pushed together throughout their childhood.
With emails mysteriously going astray at her work, Bea is looking for alternative opportunities and gets invited to an interview. However, it is all the way in Scotland, that day and the snow forecast makes it a dangerous journey. Henry offers to help, and soon they are on their way.
Will Bea make it & get back for Christmas? Will Bea start to think of Henry in a different way?
This was a lovely romance with a moving storyline as Bea has hard decisions to make not only for her work but with relationships too.
There is not much of a chance for Bea to stop and think as she is constantly dealing with the extraordinary interview, family issues and romance. I loved how Bea is seen by her local community and shows what a good role model she has become.
Henry’s character although starts off being explained in one way develops into someone completely different.
When I was reading I kind of had images of Bridget Jones and Jane Austen books. I know this is a mixture, but it felt like that kind of romance.
Overall, a lovely Christmas Romance where Bea has to decide what she wants for her future.
I was looking for an easy read, pick me up novel and I got that with Let it Snow. I don’t usually read romance novels, but I really fancied a change and this hit the mark. Lovely storyline, great characters and easy to follow writing.
Not to mention how beautiful that cover is!
Id definitely recommend this to others.
I read 4 chapters and had to DNF it.
The writing made it hard to follow and understand what was going on. And I didn't like that the dialogue used apostrophes (') instead of quotation marks (")
I loved this book. Let it Snow is so uplifting, with deep and engrossing developments at each turn. It's cleverly written, witty and smart, with well developed characters and a powerful ending that will have you cheering out loud. A winner!
Love this author and loved this book, a lovely snowy light hearted read, amazing characters and loved the storyline about the weather girl and her childhood geeky friend who both try to save the family's school from having to close it's doors, a few giggles thrown in for good measure and you can't put the book down
This was adorable! Completely sweet Christmas escapism.
An old friend suddenly becoming more, a jealous work rival, a family mystery … what’s not to love?
Add in adorable characters, beautiful settings and a happy ending and you’re all set.
A lovely read that made me smile and keep turning the pages!
I just finished reading Let it Snow by Beth Moran and loved every word . I always forward to reading books by my favourite British author Beth Moran and she definitely does not disappoint. It is set around the holidays and involves family, work and love relationships. Family secrets are eventually exposed and work colleagues who are helpful and on your side and others who are trying to steal your job. A family who you don’t think is supportive and doesn’t understand you, but in the end you realize they had your back all along and a community who adores you. Bravo Beth and you definitely wrote an amazing holiday novel and can’t wait to read your next book.🙋♀️🇨🇦🥰💐👏🤗📕
Beth Moran has done an incredible job in Let It Snow.
The romance novel was a feel-good read with well-crafted characters. Overall, I highly recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a good love story.
Let it Snow by Beth Moran is about Bea Armstrong, a local weather broadcaster, who is spending the Christmas holiday with her family. Bea is forced to revisit many different aspects of her life and figure out what is best for her while she is in this vacation of sorts.
From the very beginning I just couldn’t get into this story. I couldn’t connect with the characters and the story kept expanding and going in different directions that didn’t pull me in. It seems like this could have been three different storylines shoved into one, revolving around the same character. It felt like the story drug on to me, but that could be because I just could t connect with the characters or the storylines. Overall this was a well written book, it just wasn’t what I was expecting or looking for. This book just wasn’t for me, but I do love the cover design!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!
Thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for an ARC copy for an unbiased review. Bea was brought up in a grand home that has been in the family for generations. Her parents have turned part of it into a school for underprivileged children. Over the years they have helped many of them turn their lives around. Unfortunately now the school is in a state of disrepair and requires an extremely large amount of money that they do not have. Bea is the black sheep of the family. She is a TV weather girl and due to the hours she works does not often return home. This is also due to her on off romance with Adam, one of the schools previous pupils. For years he has been the love of her life but his love for music anď fame means he constantly lets her down. Her parents hope that she will see sense and have a relationship with Henry a longtime friend of the family. Bea remembers him as a geek at school and has never given him the time of day. This year she is going home for Christmas and many events need serious contemplation for her to find her future happiness. I recommend this book as I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
What an amazing read!!! Television weather forecaster Bea Armstrong has a lot to contend with over Christmas
as a family crisis, a prestigious job interview, and two men all vie for her attention. I enjoyed every page of this
seasonal page-turner. The book is heartwarming and full of hope. A real gem.
Beth Moran has delivered a perfect winter warmer full of festive joy and a sweet love story. Let it Snow follows Bea’s journey in navigating her job as a weather forecaster and her relationships with her family as they struggle to keep their home, a school, open. Along the way, Bea embarks on a treacherous, snowy journey with her long standing family friend and childhood betrothed, Henry to a wacky job interview. I found this book to be a real page turner that I quickly finished.
I really enjoyed this wonderful story. It drew me in right away and I loved every page. Great characters and a fabulous story.
Bea Armstrong is a local weather girl for Nottingham in the surrounding area. She’s obsessed with Weather but when she starts missing deadlines at work she blames it on the break up with her longtime boyfriend Adam. That’s also the reason she hasn’t been home to visit her close knit family in months, but it’s Christmas and she can no longer dodge a visit. When she arrives though she is taken up short when she notices Henry Fairfax sitting at the dinner table put their pre-Christmas family dinner. Her mom explained it away with the wink wink and a nudge, nudge her mom and his has always wanted them to get together. Unfortunately Bea cannot get over the dislike she is harbored for Henry since they were six years old. When she wakes up the next day to a phone call from a producer for the national British morning show an asked if she was going to attend the two day interview in Scotland not only was she unaware of it, but she also has no way to get to get there. Before she knows it though she is in Henry’s car heading to Scotland. She will find out a lot of things that she didn’t know before about Henry instead of Rodger taciturn he is solid and dependable and handsome and… Then Adam calls the first night there in Scotland. All the old feelings for him come flooding back, but before she will agree to be back with him she hast to think about it if she would if only she could stop thinking about Henry. This book is a lot more than the summary they go looking for her dad‘s dead, because her grandma was a sensation when she was younger and now it’s still very popular but they need to do something because the school her parents started needs money. They need a new roof and so much more. So there is a lot more to the story than just a brief summary and all of it it is awesome! This is one of those books you want to give 10 stars I wish you had the nerve to make another profile to write another review… It is that good! I hate to call it a romance because it is so much more it has a great plot very very lovable characters and even Adam was lockable with his grand gestures! I just absolutely love this book and highly recommend it if you love romance data instead of being sappy is smart and intelligently done you need to read this book. I have heard of this author before but I’ve never read her books and what a disservice I have done for myself. I have already downloaded another book by her that is how great this one was. I cannot recommend it enough. I received this book from NetGalleyShelf in the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.
Overall this was an enjoyable Christmasy read. It takes place over the course of about 10 days as Bea takes a vacation from her job as a tv weatherman to spend time with her rather eccentric family. There were lots of predictable elements of a rom com…the family friend with whom she shares a love/hate relationship, her long time on and off again feckless ex boyfriend, a crazy job interview in a snowed in Scottish castle. I felt there were too many elements for a story that was a rather slow read. I love Beth Moran's books but this was not my favorite. Usually I read her books in a day. This one I picked up and put down for several days.
A little Christmas in July was absolutely a treat! I adored this sweet story of Bea, a weather forecaster, who is dreading going home to spend Christmas with her family who are known for their silly, corny, but ultimately fun and cherished traditions. Bea is feeling a little stuck. Stuck in her job. Stuck in relationship limbo. Opportunities present themselves, on both fronts, and she is thrown into a whirlwind of decisions. All of this while trying to spend time with her family, not upset and disappoint her parents, but also help them then they face some tough decisions.
I loved all of the characters, feeling their emotions along the way. I laughed, I cried, and just overall had a fantastic time!
Thank you to Netgalley, Beth Moran, and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this great story!
I really enjoyed this snow filled Christmas special with Bea and Henry. You can't beat a last minute interview that turns out to be more challenging than expected and that is before you throw in a winter storm.
