Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!
Ok I know, but I think anyway who sees the title of this gorgeous Christmas book will sing that in there head, if they don’t I’m not quite sure they’re normal ! If there’s anything I love more than a really great romcom, it’s a really great Christmas Romcom and this definitely fits the bill !
Although I read this in August, this is a perfect read for a cold night, wrapped in blankets, toastie socks, hot chocolate in front of a fire, it’s just full of cute characters, a heartwarming slow burn romance and snowy Christmassy scenery, it will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit.
This is such a great story, I love Bea and how she was using her experience to find personal growth, watching the drama unfold and Bea being torn (although we know she’s going to make the right choice() I thought the flashbacks to the past were well done and definitely added to the story and relationship more, I also love the fact it isn’t an evil ex boyfriend and no spoilers but both men in her life are really likeable . And that last chapter, I don’t think I could love it anymore, so much swoon worthiness.
This is such a wonderful Christmas romance, full of heart, humour, great characters and lots of heart. Thoroughly recommended.

Thank you #netgalley, #boldwoodbooks and #rachelsrandomresources for allowing me to read this ARC.
Just what is needed after the summer of 2022, a good romance book about love and friendship set in Snowy weather.
An enjoyable, easy to follow read. Perfect to relax and unwind to.
The story follows weather girl Bea Armstrong as she leaves work for home to her strict mother and jovial dad who calls her SweetBea.
Bea is quite complex with how she views herself and her life. She hasn't been single all that long and is still licking her wounds, the fact her mother is trying to set her up with geeky Science Teacher Henry really doesn't suit her at all. Although, is he really all that geeky and unpretty these days?
Well, you will have to read the book to find out the twists and turns in this story. 😉
Another delightful Christmassy book by Beth. Seems strange reading this in the middle of summer, but it has been a refreshing and enjoyable read.

Blurb
After the end of a long-term relationship, local weather girl Bea Armstrong has been avoiding her family, and their inevitable ‘I-told-you-sos.’ But with Christmas fast approaching, she is finally on her way home to Charis House, the school in Sherwood Forest that her mum and dad run in their old family home. And to top it all off, the insufferable Henry Fairfax – who her parents have always wanted her to marry – has also been invited.
Relief comes in the shape of a last-minute interview for her dream job. There are just a few minor problems… The interview is in Scotland, Bea has no car, and the snow is falling already. The only solution is for Henry to drive her – could this Christmas get any worse…
But during an unforgettable two-day interview, a stay in a log cabin and a nightmare journey through the snow, Henry turns out to be nothing like she thought. And when Bea’s first love and recent ex shows up, Bea has a difficult choice to make…
My Opinion
This is a cute Christmas romance, that follows Bea as she tries to work out what she wants after the end of her long-term relationship. There is a lot of snow but this will leave you feeling cosy. A charming addition to a festive evening. A lovely, warm-hearted read.
Rating: 4/5
es, it may be only September but it’s never too early for a Christmas book is it? Not to me anyway, I am a sucker for a Christmas romance. I may be a Scrooge when the festive season actually comes around but I love sinking into imaginary tinsel and proper Christmas feels and this is just the thing to get us all into the mood.
I love beth moran’s writing, I have read a few – yet not as many of her books as I really should have and now I am kicking myself for leaving it so long in-between books but I do have another of her books sitting on my bedside table tbr pile waiting to be read – I may have to bump it up the list.
Anyway, this is a fabulous enemy to lovers' romance (I do love this trope and this one is a doozy) add in a road trip in a blizzard with said enemies having to share the small confines of a car then you know it’s going to be a good ‘un, as long as one doesn’t murder off the other before they realise they love each other.
I adore Bea and henry, they certainly chalk and cheese, they but heads, hardly ever agree but when in doubt you know they have each other back. Bea may have judged henry a little too harshly before actually knowing the man he has become, she still sees him as the spotty teenager whom she fell in love with, a bit of a nerd. They were destined to be together, they may not have agreed and the fact that both their families thought it and constantly nudged them into getting hitched was wearing a bit thin for them both – not surprising, don’t you hate it when a family tries to marry you off before you’ve even had a cuppa? 😉
So with Bea home for Christmas and henry invited this year could be a lot of fun, only she gets a job interview back in London but with no transport, it being Christmas and a heavy blizzard grabbing hold of the country she is stuck.
Henry to the rescue (just not wearing his pants over his trousers) no our Henry is the perfect hero, he’s a gent, he’s just there on hand with a car and a bit of a reluctant offer to drive her. Off they go, but instead of a tense nail-biting journey it turns into something else, they both start learning more about the person sitting beside them in the car. She learns that Henry isn’t at all what she thought he isn’t dull at all but incredibly generous, kind, caring and always happy to offer a helping hand and a heart-stopping smile.
Yup, all is going well but as with life and romance books especially when your only part way through there comes a bump in the road, a crossroads, a twist which we all must wait with bated breath to see what Bea will do. I won’t say too much, as this is a pretty simple story of a woman torn between two loves, it’s the journey that is important and that’s one you really, really must follow yourself to find out where Bea’s heart takes her.
Let It Snow is gorgeous, it’s perfect for curling up with in the evening and indulging in some early Christmas love and cheer. I loved the story, the pacing is pitch perfect as are the wonderful characters you will be rooting for Bea and henry from the start. This book is charming, it’s cosy and delightfully feel-good, not one to be missed!!
First off thankyou to the publishers for such a wonderful cosy Christmas read .
General adult fiction / Romance
My Thoughts : I don't want to give to much away as the book isn't out for a little while yet . so the story dose have a dual timeline which for me normally confuses my little brain , but I found it very easy to follow , its a very cute Christmas read which screamed hallmark at me which if you don't know big fan here . I loved losing myself in this wonderful romance. it is a slow burn which for me I really enjoy not for everyone but I thought it was brilliant how Beth made it work gives you all the butterfly's.
the characters loved them all very sweet and down to earth you bit of family drama got to love it , you follow Bea which is a weather girl and the handsome henry who her family always wanted her to marry ,but she is torn between him and her ex I say bye ex !! but always she still working on her dream job so its a lot for her to cope with , they was brilliant characters.
Beth writing style flowed so well so easy to follow ,
over all its a wonderful Christmas read great to cosy up in your favourite reading space with a hot chocolate and enjoy all the Christmas feels
I give the book 4.5 cosy Christmas stars
I love the way Beth Moran writes. Apart from the storyline her writing style itself is very enjoyable to read. The storyline is also captivating, full of twists and turns, not simply a"love triangle". (I loved the madcap "job interview" process). The characters are also really likeable - apart from Bea's workplace nemezis... It is good to see a family whose members are so close to each other. I was happy about the happy ending and I was sorry to say goodbye to the characters. I can recommend this heartwarming read to everyone.
An enjoyable, if slightly mad-cap, but light-hearted read.
Between Christmas and New Year, weather forecaster Bea Armstrong finally learns to love herself and realise she might have got her childhood nemesis all wrong. Throw in a hilarious interview process, set in the wilds of snowy Scotland by a megalomaniac billionaire and an 87 year old Grandmother luvvy, the power of community saves the day.
There is never a dull moment in this delightful book by Beth Moran. Bea is struggling with the breakup with her long-term boyfriend, and wonders why she can’t get her act together, especially at work. Going home for Christmas doesn’t hold out the hope of much joy either, especially with her mother’s action-packed itinerary, and having to spend time with nerdy Henry. Prospects of a new job, snowstorms, her father’s parentage, and a growing friendship with a grown-up Henry, all add to the challenges Bea must face if she wants to grow and develop.
As with the author's previous books, what I really liked of this read is the fact that it doesn't revolve exclusively around the romantic aspect of the story, but it's a humourous/romantic/and a bit of mystery all very well combined. A delightful festive read, highly recommended!
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC
A perfect curl up in front of the fire Christmas read. Beautifully written with characters you can associate with and root for. Snow, community and love. What more do you need at Christmas.
3 stars
This book had everything you could possibly want in a Christmas romance novel and more! It had an evil manipulative coworker! It had a childhood friend/nemesis/nerd boy love interest! It had a rockstar ex-boyfriend! It had a drama and guilt ridden family Christmas week! It had a paternal parentage mystery plot! It had a "we need tons of money or else we have to CLOSE this SCHOOL" charity drive? It had a blizzard filled road trip?? It had a multi-day interview and reality show competition combo at some billionaires Scottish estate??? All smashed into one zany romcom!
The female main character, Bea, was both really mean and really selfless and giving? The male main character, Henry, was a cardboard cutout who was always ready to do whatever Bea needed of him without interfering with a personality of his own! Bea's family was also really mean and really loved to guilt Bea who was busy doing a hundred things at once (see list above- Bea was involved in every last one of these things). There were literally (figuratively) 8,000 side characters and settings and events going on all at once and it was all rather chaotic.
All that being said, it was exactly the kind of nonsense you see in every Hallmark Christmas movie. If you don't take anything seriously and skim through the flashbacks that kinda go nowhere you will have a silly Christmas romp of a book. Perfect Christmas fluff read where everything works out and Christmas is saved and you forget it all by the next day! It's a Christmas miracle!
I couldn't figure out what about this story gripped me so much..... then it hit me like a lead brick. Henry, our nerdy (really just misunderstood) love interest is my fiancé to a T. Adam, Beth Moran worked her way into my book loving heart with this read.
I couldn't figure out what it was that got me so much about this book and then it hit me. Bea, our main character is coming off a rough break up with her long time boyfriend and heads back home, where her family is trying to set her up with her childhood betrothed Henry.
Henry is the nerdy robot that Bea has never fancied in any way until she goes home, and is forced to reevaluate all those memories after a chaotic job interview that Henry agrees to drive her to forces them together. Adam, the ex reminds me of all the men I dated before I met my now fiancé. He is dismissive and always puts her second until he shows up begging for another chance.
I adored Henry, while maybe not the traditional choice he reminds me of my fiancé. Quiet and misunderstood but very intelligent.
This is the perfect Christmas read, you won't be disappointed.
let it snow was a delightful and enjoyable read,
Which would be perfect for a Christmas time read. Bea is dreading going back to spend time with her parents for Christmas, so when she gets invited to the job interview of a lifetime she jumps to the chance. The only
Thing is the family friend who she finds annoying, the one her family want her to marry is driving her up there for it.
The story has lots of different twists and turns which doesn't make it a typical Christmas romance book which I liked. A very cozy all round read.
This was a heart warming, cosy festive read. I did feel that there was a lot going on, not just a romance, but it worked and it was an enjoyable read that made me excited for Christmas and colder weather.
The characters are really well written, some very quirky, some you'll love to hate and then there's Henry who you'll love to love. Its a lovely Christmassy escapism read.
With quirky characters and situations, Beth Moran’s Let It Snow may just be the Christmas novel you’ve been looking for if you’re tired of Hallmark-style schmaltz and predictability.
Weather girl Bea Armstrong broke up from her childhood sweetheart six months ago after being together for twelve years. To say that the break up has undone her personal and work life would be an understatement but she soldiers on and is looking forward to being with her family for the holidays. Little does she know that her long-time nemesis, Henry Fairfax, will be there or that he might just be someone she can count on when she needs someone in her corner. With a more than eccentric job interview, a quest to save Charis House, and the upset that arrives with Bea’s former boyfriend, Let It Snow provides laughs, warmth, and good-heartedness as Bea begins to better understand her world and her place in it.
Beth Moran writes with an easy style that draws the reader in and creates an unforgettable setting. Bea’s family and friends are unique and are uniquely portrayed. The romance between Bea and Henry is understated and, yet, perfect.
Let It Snow is a book with heart and laughs and embodies the joy of the season.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A great read to get you in the mood for Christmas.
Following Our Bea and her family over the festive period with lots of ups and downs. Nice easy read to help escape from the real world!
A light hearted, fun and festive read that will entertain in many ways. I must admit, that living close to Sherwood Forest myself added to my interest as it I could really place myself in the setting. I even loved the Mansfield mention too!
We meet weather girl (fanatic) Bea Armstrong who is wanting to make her own way in the world and within her career whilst also determining who her heart belongs too – a long time love who consistently let her down or a surprising someone who has been in front of her all along.
Going home for Christmas is a family holiday nightmare for Bea, it has been planned like a military operation for reasons unknown to Bea, but she risks her mother’s wrath as whilst she wants to be with family an opportunity arises she cannot miss. Heading off for the interview of a lifetime with an unlikely ally, Bea soon discovers the parts of herself she’d long forgotten and following many incidents, she realises where her passion, and talent, lies.
A wide variety of characters that are funny and quirky in their own way, I enjoyed getting to know more about them all.
Cosy and cute, a perfect read this Christmas time.
Happy Publication Day 30/08/2022!
Bea is a weather presenter on the local news, a local celebrity and loved by her viewers.
Following a breakup with the man she's loved since school, Bea decides to go home for Christmas, An Armstong Christmas is a fun-packed, busy schedule with an interesting cast of family characters.
Bea is surprised to see that Henry is there, the man her mother always wanted to fix her up with.
When she realises that her work e-mails have been sabotaged, and she has a job interview for a major weather presenter role the same night, in Scotland, it's Henry who offers to save the day, driving through the blizzards to Scotland.
Beth Moran is a great writer of this genre. If you want some Christmas-themed escapism with a love triangle thrown in, this is the book for you!
I really enjoyed it!
Bea Armstrong is the main weather presenter on the local news. After a breakup that *appears* to be affecting her work, she decides to travel home for Christmas, hoping for relaxation. Waiting there is the man her mother always wanted to fix her up with, her nerdy childhood nemesis, Henry. When she realises her work emails have been sabotaged, and she has a job interview the same night - in Scotland - it's Henry who offers to save the day, driving through the blizzards to Scotland.
Right from the start, I was invested in this story. I loved both Bea and Henry immediately, and, as much as I am a fan of mutual pining, there's something wonderful about the character who is quietly in love with the other, hoping the other will finally catch up and realise just how amazing they could be together. I'm not going to spoil who that is in this story (it's pretty obvious early on) but I just loved how the story unfolded. There's also so much humour: from the eccentric media mogul and his bonkers interview process and stand-in 'servants' (IYKYK); to the most bizarre encounter on the return journey. There's also a lovely subplot centred around the school her family owns, a potential benefactor, and a long-lost relative. There were a couple of times when I wished Henry or Bea would just admit their feelings, but honestly? The final chapter is so perfect and swoon-worthy that by the end I forgave everything. This is a perfect cosy read, full of love, family, and friendship, and with a swoon-worthy male lead. Christmas in August? Oh, go on then!
