Not bad. The sample chapter leaves you invested and interesting in reading more.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an e-ARC copy of this book, in exchange for this honest review.
This is a short sample that gives you a good set up for what this book is about. You follow Saeki and his journey of trying to trust someone again and his struggles with self doubting. Over all it was a good sample.
I really liked the art style. After reading this short sample, I am very interested in reading more from this mangaka and more stories set in this world.
this was just too short and didn't really have any story to it, this was comparable to those manga that are a compilation of several shorts. this was probably half of a short chapter but it was ok.
This is a one-shot of a gay love story between Arima and Saeki. Saeki's ex boyfriend left scars on his back from ... *coughs* activities, which makes Arima jealous. This is the continuation of a series of one-shots but I haven't read the previous ones, perhaps the reason I didn't get as invested in the characters. Not much happened in terms of storyline and it genuinely felt like a chapter in a longer volume. Drawing was decent and the scenes weren't terribly graphic (18+ only regardless though!).
Overall a decent read but possibly not my favourite as it felt like it should have been a chapter not a whole book!
This was only a short sample but it is enough to give you a glimpse of the way the story is told and the art style. Despite it being only a few pages long, it got me interested in the characters and the storyline. There is for sure a lot of darkness hidden underneath, as well as getting the hang of trusting someone and stop doubting yourself over and over. The hint of the darker sides got me really interested and I'd like to dive deeper into this manga.
This book was cute and short. I like that. The characters were loveable. I love the artwork. It was a heart warming manga that I can read again.
i went into this thinking it was gonna be a cute bl romance and it was a bl but nothing happened. it was boring, way too short and the only thing i liked was the cat lol. might be interested in other volumes cause i wanna see if anything else happens cause there were signs of trauma form one of the characters
This is such a cute, sweet, short manga read and it bought a smile to my face
Read if you:
1) Cute, sweet love
2) MM / BL rep
3) Cats!
4) Boundaries
5) Respect for each other
Aiming to pick up the other short stories!
Can’t really give a full and honest review because only got to read the sample. Didn’t get enough of the story from the small chapter made available.
Like other reviewers I am disappointed that this was just a sample and not the entire book. I do think that is reviewers are only going to be given a chapter then it should say that clearly. I don’t have any comments about the story. It was ok but nothing really interesting. Just so-so.
Thank you Netgalley.
I thought this will be a complete book but it was just one chapter.
It was such a short and cute chapter.
A Story of Love That I Do Not Know's preview is a mid-story chapter. The introductory pages give us general information about six characters, possibly with separate storylines. The preview provided only covers the first two characters who are in a bit of a fix-it relationship after one left an abusive relationship. For something I didn't start at the beginning, I was able to get into the story easily. It was cute enough and makes you wonder just how much of the story was covered in earlier chapters. I've seen art that was better/more detailed, but the simple art style looks clean and works for the storytelling. (I received a free copy of A Story Of Love That I Do Not Know from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.)
A bit disappointed this was just 1 chapter and I don't understand why this was not mentioned anywhere on the book detail page.
Also, as this is Netgalley UK, why would you offer a giveaway just for the US at the end of the sample? It's a bit unfair.
This was a lovely story! I love second chance after a bad relationship stories and this fits the bill. I’d love to see the other stories in the volume!
This peek into the future of Saeki and Arima's relationship was adorable and heartfelt. You can see them both working through their issues and communicating with one another. The art style is cute and who doesn't love an animal being featured! I am excited to see what else is in store for these characters and the others within the series.
This was a short little comic that jumps off of previous works. I did enjoy it despite how short and too the point it was. it deals with past abusive relationships and how those things impact their present relationship
-Disclaimer: I received this book for free through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.-
Not gonna lie, this one was kind of odd. Based on the description, it could definitely go somewhere. The flow was a little jumpy. The art was plain compared to the preview I read of "Your Treacle Affects At Night". Overall, I wouldn't mind seeing how the rest of the book turned out.
Good first chapter but beginning that spell out what the whole story is about in the first couple of pages makes me think there is not much there. However, given the topic, I hope that the rest of the book is interesting and touches on some typically touchy topics.

Cute story! I liked the art, halfway thru i thought a big cat related plot twist was happening and got VERY interested, it was not the case but its still a very cute, lighthearted read! Even if some um adult events are implied? It was nice.
