This book is about Rhianne and Eric. . Rhi has to hire Eric to help rescue her sister who's been kidnapped. Now these two have worked together before but this time they have to pretend to be a couple Rhi gets a little annoyed at Eric’s attitude and she’s really concerned about rescuing her sister. This story has action and suspense as well as a great romance between two strong determined characters.

This book was an engaging action packed romance with military heroes and high stake risks. The romantic tension between Rhianne and Eric was fun to read and the one bed trope was nicely deployed to push the narrative further. Despite the intense danger it almost gave off summer vibes in its tropical setting. I read this in one sitting as despite being an intense romance, the narrative style was easy to follow and despite having not read book 1, this one was easy to get into. While I finished it in one sitting and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sultry romance with good banter and high-stakes tension, at times the plot felt too predictable and I wanted a bit more emotional depth from the characters. So overall I rated this one 3.5 stars.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Rhianne and Eric. Rhianne is a police officer and Eric works for a security company. Rhianne’s younger sister has disappeared. She goes to the security company for help in finding her sister. Eric and Rhianne look for clues in where Rhianne’s sister is. They each have trust issue but together they resolve the issues and find Rhianne’s sister and fall in love.

Meh - the action part was fine... But the romance was spoiled by the most obnoxious main female character.

Sadly, I could not get past my annoyance, and the story never really got a hold of me.

But a quick read for all you chick-lit fans out there.

I always enjoy a military style romance story being a milspouse myself. These ex-seals turned security sure turn up the heat on these pages!

Another action filed and suspenseful story from Leslie North. Rescuing Rhianne's sister who has been trafficked is one tough and dangerous assignment. Going undercover with Eric to infiltrate the group responsible is fraught with tension. Eric and Rhianne make a good couple and I loved how quick Rhianne was at thinking on her feet. But, I was surprised that the security team would involve a civilian in the operation and it came as no surprise to me that Rhianne ended up compromising the plan. As someone who worked in search and rescue, I thought she would have been able to hold her head a bit better. Thankfully, Eric was there to hold her hand.

A great second instalment to the Bronte Security series. A fast paced romance with the perfect amount of mystery. I loved the main characters and can't wait for the third instalment.

To be completely honest this made me want to stop reading any sort of books for a long time i.e. I went into a slump because it was that bad. the book is ok but the proximity of characters seems very unreal and there is a serious lack of chemistry and detail. if the book had more details about the missions the characters past their life and their time together it was a complete disaster. I have read another book by the author and to be honest, it wasn't this bad it was good, it was a very warm and relaxing read. I'm still not sure if I will read another book in the series because the pace, the lack of chemistry, and the lack of details are kind of a turn-off for me.

A book with a great storyline of two people who are seemingly opposites but are more alike than one would think. Rhianne finds her former friend to look for her sister. While reading their story, I could see that there is plenty of tension between the two and could feel the pull to each other. As they searched for her sister, their attraction to each other was off the charts. This book, while short, gave me everything I like in a book, mystery, suspense, and romance.

Thank you NetGalley and Leslie North for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book give me the perfect summer holiday vibes.
The story is set in a resort with villas, spas, bungalows and swimming pool ... too bad it's run by human traffickers.
Rhianne and Eric are not on vacation but rather play the part of an undercover married couple to save Rhianna's sister, kidnapped by traffickers.
Obviously at the beginning Rihanne can't stand Eric and there is the one bed trope (a great classic 😂)

This is the second book of the Bronte Security Servicies Series and can be read as stand alone. In fact I haven’t read the first one and I had no problems understanding the plot.
The story is interesting, I’ve finished it in two sittings

It’s not the most original book, which is why it deserved three stars but to read on the beach it is perfect!

Great book. Enough action to keep the plot moving at pace, with some strong scenes making the SEAL background plausible. Both Eric and Rhianne are likeable characters and you want them to make it and to have a HEA despite the odds. The sex scenes were good and the plot held together well. Highly recommended.

2.5 stars

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for providing a free copy in exchange of an honest review. So this book is the third book in the Bronte Security Services series but can also be a standalone too. This book also concludes the ongoing plot from book 1. Basically it’s about the ex SEAL boss, Charlie and his ex, Madelyn. I think the characters are okay but Idk I felt like I didn’t know them much? I wish we had more flashbacks about their past. I think that’s my biggest gripe with the author’s books. They just felt very short you know. The plot is interesting though. All in all, the book is not bad and is better than the second one although I prefer the first one more.

SEAL’s Fake Girlfriend
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Thank you NetGalley and Leslie North for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!

When her little sister Robyn goes missing, Rihanne Carlson knows there’s something bigger at play - forcing her to enlist the help of a private security agent firm.

As all of the evidence points to kidnapping, Rhianne and former Navy SEAL Eric Cruz go undercover to rescue Robyn - risking their own lives in the process. But when their undercover story starts to feel too real, they risk putting their mission in jeopardy.

This is the second book in the Bronte Security Services series and can definitely be read as a stand alone as I have not read the first book in the series!

I’m always a sucker for Navy SEALS or undercover stories so I was extremely excited for an opportunity to read this book! I really enjoyed the high stakes case and the intrigue involved in the kidnapping of Rhianne’s sister. However, I did feel like the relationship between Eric and Rhianne was rushed and a little forced. They went from not getting along (Rhianne hating him) to falling into bed together way too quickly. Undercover work aside there didn’t feel like much of a build-up. And I was looking for more backstory on the characters so I could feel that emotional attachment to them but I just felt that it wasn’t there.

The story overall was a good, quick read and something I enjoyed! It was just missing a few key aspects I look for in books!

Rhianne goes to Brontë Security because her sister is missing. She worked with the ex navy seals who work for Bronte Security while she was in the coast guard. Charlie is assigned to the case. There are sparks between Charlie and Rhianne which they have to navigate as well as finding her sister.

The story held a difficult topic, human trafficking. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The heroine is a strong independent woman. The hero is smart and great at his job. He struggles to understand her family dynamic. It was good to see them work through their differences and come out the other side. The story was well written.

A romance with trust issues, a missing sister and taking on a human trafficking gang. All happening in Eric and Rhianne’s story. A good read even if the rescue is a wee fat fetched.

Okay story with some believability issues

I normally really enjoy romances with a military/former military hero or heroine but this was an just okay read for me. While the story was well written and the premise was good, by the middle of the story, it lost the believability factor for me. In addition, while I liked Eric’s character especially in the beginning, and I normally like strong heroines, Rhianne came across as too selfish, self-centered and short sighted to be likeable. Despite the shortcomings in the plot, the book has a little bit of everything you’d expect - sweet moments, steam, dangerous action, painful pasts, evil actors, and imperfect characters. If they can set aside that no former SEALs would agree to the operations in the story, other readers might find the story more enjoyable..

This is the second book I have read in this series and I really liked it, it is a great addition to this series! This follows Rhianne and Eric as they search for her sister, Robyn, who has disappeared. There is suspense thrown in with this love story. The chemistry between Rhianne and Eric is pretty fast, but thrown together in these circumstance would probably account for that. They both have issues from their past that make trusting hard, but I like the way that Eric works through his problems and is there for Rhianne. Eric had WAY more reasons to have a hard time trusting than Rhianne did, so I wasn't happy at how she acted towards him at times, but I was glad that she was finally to work through her issues to start a relationship with Eric. Good book.

I received an advanced reader's copy of SEAL's Fake Girlfriend (Bronte Security Services #2) by Leslie North from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this novel.

The main characters, Rhianne Carlson and Eric Cruz, were kind of awesome together. I liked their witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and their story arc. This was a solid romance novel and I found it to be well written. The plot was engaging and the pacing moved swiftly.

This book continued another fun series by Leslie North that I cannot wait to keep reading.

Eric and Rhianne are in constant danger. Trust is about the only thing that would get them through it. Trust is hard for both of them. Rhianne realized that she does Trust him almost too late. I loved reading, Seal's Fake Girlfriend.
