Arc received from NetGalley in return for an honest review.
Overall concept fits into the rom com/contemporary romance genre nicely. It had real potential but unfortunately the structure of the story was a bit haphazard. Characters could have done with a bit more fattening out background or description wise. I really enjoyed the to do lists as a way frame the story throughout. Updates on timeline ie “Aw 100 days to wedding” etc may have been a good way to focus on the main concept. This was an easy read and would try other titles from this author again.

I really wanted to love this book - It felt like it ticked all the boxes for the a good easy romance novel, however I just didn't gel with the characters - Beas reasoning behind accepting the wedding was utterly ridiculous, the male characters bar Oliver were vacuous and entirely 2D.
There were aspects I simply didn't get - the real life risk game?! - but I did like the ending and just wanted Bea to cut the story short after about 10 chapters and give Lucy and Charlie their dream day.

Very average for me. Thank you for the chance to listen, and review this advanced copy.

Many thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture audio and the author for the ALC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Beatrice 'bea' Corben is travelling to work when she gets a call informing her that she won a lottery to have the picture perfect wedding she has always dreamed of. The only problem? she is single and has no one to get married to.... at the moment....because what is life if not overcoming hurdles to achieving dreams. Hence it begins, the struggle to organize a perfect wedding within the rules of the lottery, while trying trying to find the perfect groom, getting her parents aboard for this crazy idea, and handling the Kickstarter campaign for her company. And you can imagine the mess that follows.

The story was both predictable and unpredictable and very easy to listen. It gave me some good laughs and some 'oh no' moments. It was very easy to listen to. The narrator did a good job in voicing Bea, though the meek voice used for bea especially on her first date with Andrew had me on edge. As much as I completely understood Bea's need to not waste anything on which she spent money on or any opportunity that come her way, this story was completely far fetched even for my Indian brain haha. Bea was too self-centered for my liking. To top that all the story follows a romance which is not even the main romance of the book, if that even makes sense!!, kind of reminded me why I an not into this genre!! The plot was felt a bit rushed in some places while it felt dragged in some others. In spite of all this the ending of the book was favorite!! #lucystan

I really like this book, but I think in some places it seemed a little rushed. That could have just been because I wanted more because I loved it so much. The main character was really loveable and I wanted her to finally get her happy ending. I didn't like the male representation in this book because their details for ditching her were flimsy at best, the only one with redeeming qualities is her friend Oliver. I think the book was too short, I'm just hoping this means there. Is scope for a sequel.

Thank you Bookouture and Netgalley for the alc.

It was an easy audio, it was a crazy winning that starts the story and even more crazy engagement. The realtionship was strange but tried to accept that for the story that was quite obvious what would happen but ok.. We can not know what we will do in every situation. I did not like the changing of the mind. Well the ending was nice
