Unfortunately, my e-book had three pages of gibberish and we could not follow the story. The pictures were nice and vibrant!

I could not relate to this one more and wish I had had this book as a child. This one tells the story of Little Lionel – who is the loudest child anyone has ever met. Throughout the story we see Lionel’s loudness and how it affects him, as his parents pray that he will master the art of the indoor voice one day soon. This one is all about celebrating and loving yourself as a child and realizing that the things that make you different or unique are not bad – they’re what makes you you!

I was very excited to receive a copy of this book. I enjoyed the illustrations and I liked the premise, as an educator. Unfortunately, I found very little story arc or resolution and the dampened my enthusiasm in the end.

A reasonable rhymed book for the very young, this features a kid with a foghorn of a voice, who seems to bellow everything at full pelt, causing no end of disasters and ruin in his wake. It was all perfectly fine, but it didn’t seem to go as far as it could – there seemed little point to the situation, beyond the absurdity of everything – animate and not – wanting to flee the racket. Yes, it is a fun way of showing how some kids just need to pipe down, but narratively it builds to nothing so much as the closing revision quiz. Three and a half stars.

A cute book with fun pictures to accompany it. I greatly enjoyed the plants jumping out of their pots and books falling of the shelf to escape. It was a great read full of imagination.

I also really liked the questions and taking points in the read.

This silly rhyming picture book describes a boy who scares everyone away with his loud voice. His parents accept that he is much too loud and end up buying ear muffs and building a dome around their house to help combat the noise their little son makes. With large all caps text to demonstrate yelling, this book is fun to read and makes a perfect read aloud or shared reading experience. I can definitely see my grade three class giggling as I read them this book. I would recommend this book to parents of children in the age 3-9 range. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this book!

This was fun. I wish Lionel Lincoln would have learned how to not be the loudest child.
The questions at the end are cute and a great way to keep a child engaged with reading.

I did not like this book. I understand that the concept of the book is to encourage indoor voices but I just felt bad for the main character the whole time. I didn’t like how it was portrayed that no one liked him because he was loud.

Pages 15-17 has issues with the text. It was all scrambled and looked like coding.
