Could you ask for a book filled with anymore Christmas spirit and Christmassy love than this? Doubtful
First book by this author for me and I see now why people love her books, engaging, well written, great characters and feelgood x1000,very enjoyable and uplifting
I am a big fan of this author and have really enjoyed all the books that I have read. This was well written, my actually favourite character was Angus. The relationship between Brodie and Paige is lovely. The actual message that’s written is beautiful and I could just imagine Albert and his cottage and studio! Look forward to more.
The wonderful thing about a Heidi Swain Christmas novel is that you know you're going to be swept away on a journey of magical Winter Wonderland with a touch of romance and a lot of emotion! A Christmas Celebration doesn't disappoint, providing everything we've come to expect from Heidi.
Paige finds herself at Wynthorpe Hall in the lead up to Christmas, staying with godparents Angus and Catherine, after an incident at work overseas. She gets swept up helping absent family members, and meets grumpy Albert by accident one day. Can she help him and herself at the same time? She also meets brooding Brodie, can she work out what his secret is?
A fabulous wintery read, perfect for the forthcoming cosy evenings.
Thank you so much Simon & Schuster UK and netgalley for this ARC.
This latest novel by Heidi is just full of sparkles.
Great to return to Wynthrope Hall and lovely to see past characters, Paige turns up from leaving her job in Jordan to stay here with her godparents, they are running low on staff and Paige mucks in and helps out in the lead upto Christmas.
This is definitely one to read whilst cosy on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A Christmas Celebration is not just about the festive season, it is about family, friends, and the magic that surrounds Wynthorpe Hall.
I love going back to re visit the characters from Heidi’s previous books as she cleverly weaves them into this latest noel with such joy. I especially enjoyed Winter Wonderland, an annual event put on by the Connelly family in the beautiful grounds of the Hall, much to the delight of the community.
When Paige returns to England after leaving as an aid worker for a charity her parents suggest that as they are away she visits her godfather Angus at Wynthorpe Hall. Paige is instantly welcomed back with open arms, love and understanding, which is just what is needed after the loneliness she has suffered recently. Paige discovers herself again with the help of the community and its glorious surrounding. Paige is a caring person so when she meets octogenarian Albert, she coaxes him out of his small world and they both get a new spark of life.
This third visit to Wynthorpe brings us readers a chance to meet new characters who I hope will feature in future books in this gorgeous setting of Norfolk.
My thanks to Net Galley and the publishers for this ARC.
Hurrah. It’s Christmas at Wynthoroe Hall and all our favourite characters are back in this new adventure. This time the story focuses on Paige, returning from a traumatic time working in refugee camps, and Brodie, a man who has turned his life upside down in pursuit of his dreams. Throw in Albert, a lonely old man struggling to survive in his own, and you gave the perfect Christmas tale.
I loved this new story and with Molly and Anna’s announcement at the end I’m really hopin it won’t be long before we can return to Wynthoroe hall again.
Heidi Swain does it again. I feel like she is the queen of Christmas rom com. This one is no difference. It is heartwarming, uplifting, romantic and completely full of the Christmas spirit.
I haven’t read many of Heidi Swain books but this one didn’t disappoint and has me reaching for the download button on her other books.
I love a good Christmas read and this didn’t disappoint. I love the way Heidi keeps you guessing on why Paige has returned home after working away as an aid worker. Then to end up back in Whynthrope Hall which her Godparents owns and lands several jobs where she unexpectedly meets an old man who later becomes her friend. I was kept on the edge of my seat of which brother she would end up with!
A Christmas Celebration is a book you could read over and over again. It was amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely to be back in Wynthorpe Hall. Can be read on its own. The main character Paige had lived an interesting life and was at a turning point when she goes to stay with her god father and family . Nice to be back with characters you know.. Set in a lovely part of the country. I loved how Paige helped Albert and how Bran the dog helped her. A beautiful story. Made you feel happy inside. Loved it. A good ending.
A fabulous festive trip back to one of my favourite book locations, Wynthorpe Hall, rejoining the remarkable Connerly clan in the build up to Christmas.
This time we are meeting Paige, the God Daughter to Angus and Catherine, who has come to the Hall under a dark cloud and feeling guilty about something that occurred in her previous job.
Soon the community lifts her spirits, and a chance discovery brings her some much needed positivity and the opportunity to move on from her troubles. An unexpected run in with the handsome Brodie also gives her much to think about too. Can he heal her heart, and can love bloom in the midwinter?
It’s always such a pleasure catching up with all the characters from Heidi’s previous books, and the festive happenings are perfect for getting me in the seasonal mood!
Christmas isn’t Christmas without my Heidi read, and I’m already planning my reread in December snuggled in front of my fire, hot chocolate poured and Christmas lights sparkling!
A Christmas Celebration is full of festive spirit and does deliver that warm cosy feeling. I liked the way the story was built up of the journey between a number of different characters and Paige, my favourite being her developing friendship with elderly Albert. It was a very easy read but at the same time, I found it quite slow and it didn’t totally capture my interest. I also didn’t feel the connection or excitement at the romance between Paige and Brodie. Their interactions were also fairly limited.
I’ve been a fan of Heidi Swain for a long time now, and I was thrilled to receive a review copy of A Christmas Celebration.
I really loved this story. It was lovely to return to Wynthorpe Hall for another Christmas, and see lots of familiar friends again. The Winter Wonderland and all the festivities are just magical. And the sense of community at the Hall and in Wynbridge warms my heart.
I really liked Paige, who has had a tough time before arriving at the Hall, and is being really hard on herself. I enjoyed reading as she gradually accepted that everyone makes mistakes, and learned to love herself again.
The romance was a lot of fun. Brodie is another great character, and they get off rather on the wrong foot. I also really loved Albert, and watching him come back to life was lovely.
The only tiny niggle I had, was the number of names beginning with A - Archie, Angus, and Albert. I found that a bit confusing! However, it didn’t detract from a hugely enjoyable story.
Overall, this was a wonderful and magical story, full of romance, community, and festive feeling! I strongly recommend it.
I was given a copy of this book, my opinions are my own.
Another festive treat from the fabulous Heidi Swain! I always look forward to returning to Wynthorpe Hall and meeting new and old characters each time.
Paige is so likeable and the way she takes Albert under her wing and gives him his life back is so admirable.
I will definitely need to reread during the festive season!
Heidi Swain has created another stunner of a Christmas book! We visit Wynthorpe Hall and it has all of the ingredients for a fantastic festive read! Paige thinks she is only going to stay for a short time but quickly becomes involved in the lives of people there and ends up wanting to stay for more time than expected....
I loved every second of it!
Being back at wynethorpe Hall is totally magical, it's the one place we all have to go fir Christmas can highly recommend and praise this fabulous book.
We are back in Wynthrope Hall for another visit. Paige was an aid worker and has just returned from abroad after a mistake she made could have had catastrophic results, not wanting her to be alone as her parents were on holiday it's agreed she will go and fill in working at the hall while some of the family are on holiday. Cleaning the hall and volunteering to deliver villagers shopping would be all that she would be doing but it doesn't turn out to be quite as simple as that !
A lovely story of village life, friendship and love and Christmas. What more could you possibly want ??
Loved it
Of course, this was perfect!!! Heidi is my favourite author and she never fails to write an amazing book!! I was hooked from start to finish
A welcome return to Wynthrope Hall where we catch up with old friends and new.
Paige lost her confidence after an incident while working abroad. Returning home to England, she turns up at Wynthorpe Hall to spend the run up to Christmas with her godparents. As the residents of the Hall envelop her with love and affection, can she begin to regain her confidence?
A lovely festive story with a great mix of characters which was an easy and entertaining read.
A Christmas Celebration, is a celebration indeed.
This story is such a treat with friendship and celebrating at its heart. The lovely community spirit and the crazy excitement towards Christmas celebrations make this a fantastic read. It will also make for a perfect Christmas present come December.
I have heard so many good things about Heidi Swain books. I absolutely loved this one. Paige had been working for several years for a charity in Jordan. After making a bad decision she decided that her time there had come to an end. Upon her return to the UK in the lead up to Christmas she went to stay at Wynthorpe Hall, the home of her God Parents. They were planning an annual Winter Wonderland extravaganza and needed all hands on deck due to some family members taking a much needed break. Paige soon became one of the community family, making friends and helping those she felt were in need. There are many people's life stories unfold. All characters you would love to hear about again in future books.I recommend that this book can be enjoyed at any time of year.
