This seasonal book has a different angle as the main character, Paige, is a recently returned aid worker. Paige is struggling to recover from the traumatic events that led to her sudden departure from her post while volunteering with local deliveries in the rural Fenland setting. Paige meets people who will change her life for the better, as she similarly has a positive affect on them. With the addition of a Christmas background, this is a delightful novel.

Another, very welcome trip to Wynthorpe Hall, where they know how to really celebrate the festive season.
This time, the main character is Paige, isolated and afraid to let others get close, after the death of her best friend and colleague. Emotionally bruised and battered after one reckless decision, which caused Paige to leave her job as a humanitarian aid worker in Jordan, Paige is persuaded to stay with her Godparents Angus and Catherine Connelly.
Her blossoming friendship with Albert, a lonely old man, who has all but given up on life was so emotional and brought tears to my eyes. It is through his friendship and her connections to others that Paige finally starts to heal and realise that it is other people that make for a happier and fuller life and that letting others in, makes all the difference. This really resonated and is so true. All too often we underestimate what a difference we can make to other people's lives and in turn, they to ours. So thank you Heidi Swain for a beautiful story, highlighting the real meaning of Christmas.

Paige has returned to England after finishing her charity work in Jordan. When her parents ask her that it may be good for her to help her Godfather Angus at Wynthorpe Hall. They usually hold Christmas festivities there over the Christmas period and they are short of volunteers. Paige when she was a child spent time there with her parents. But her parents are on a cruise and won’t be back until the new year. Paige agrees, the time there will take her mind off her own troubles.
When she gets there, she sees that there has a lot of changes been made of the hall and the nearby town (all for the better). She agrees to help collecting and delivering packages for the upcoming festivities. When on her rounds she seems to have got lost so she knocks on nearby cottages door. To ask for directions. This is where she meets Albert, a lonely man in his 80’s that needs a bit of TLC. So, she goes out of her way to help him out, bringing him food etc. She also meets good looking Brodie who although she is not looking for love, has an instant connection with.
Heidi Swain has gone and done it again with another fabulous read with “A Christmas celebration”. This is another great warm-hearted story involving Wynthorper Hall. It has great characters and a feeling of togetherness and second chances and will put you in the mood for all that festive cheer. 5 stars from me.

A real Christmas warmer! Definitely one to put you in the Christmas spirit. Fantastic characters, a good storyline to keep you interested and plenty of romance to make you smile.

Heidi Swain does it again! She is the Queen of Festive fiction and never disappoints! The perfect Christmas read, preferably in front of a roaring fire, snow falling outside the window, a hot chocolate with whipped cream to sip, comfy socks and a cat……… I couldn’t quite achieve that in August but, nevertheless, I feel a little like I’ve celebrated Christmas early. Recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Paige has had a traumatic time and needs to spend time working out what to do next. Love how Bren the wolf hound adopted her when she arrived at the Hall.

Paige gets to know Albert and Brodie, both of whom having been hiding away their true passions. Can the trio help each other? Can they also keep Mr Christmas at the Hall from over doing things?

I love how we were reintroduced to previous characters from the various series of books. Another enjoyable festive read, reminding the reader that sometimes things need to change to help us find happiness.

Paige is spending Christmas with her godparents at Whynthrope Hall. She has been persuaded by her parents who are on a cruise. Paige has just finished her time doing volunteer work in displacements camps abroad. Things didn't end well for Paige and she's traumatised by what happened there but refuses to speak about it.
At the hall she is thrown into helping , delivering library books and shopping to residents who can't get out on their own. One night while lost in her car she knocks on a door to ask for directions and although she can see someone is there no one answers the door. The next day she returns worried she has scared an old person living alone by knocking when it was dark. She is met by grumpy old man Albert and when she sees how he has been living she sets out to make his life better.
There's so much going on in this book and so many characters. There's the love interest for Paige too and it's lovely to see.
Christmas is coming and so is Winter Wonderland at the hall. Many laughs and a few tears as everyone gets together to celebrate and people's lives are changed.
A great Christmas read by Heidi Swain who never ever disappoints me.

Heidi Swain is one of the best authors of Christmas fiction - fact. Another enjoyable Christmas tale with lovable characters with one in particular who will grab your heart - just adorable! Looking forward to next year's book already.

Paige returns home early from working for a charity in Jordan. Her parents are away on a cruise so when they suggest that rather than being alone, she goes to stay with her godparents at Wynthorpe Hall, Paige agrees it might be a good idea.
Everyone at Wynthorpe is happy to see her, especially as they are short of help in the run up to Christmas and Paige is more than happy to muck in.
Taking over delivering groceries, medicines and library books to local residents she meets Albert who lives alone in a very isolated cottage. Although their first meeting isn't exactly successful Paige realises that Albert needs help, and she can be the one to provide it. Paige also bumps into newly arrived Brodie. Although there is a spark, he seems to be far too preoccupied to be interested so Paige tries to put him out of her mind. As Christmas approaches and Wynthorpe gears up for the annual Winter Wonderland Paige is hoping that it will bring more than a gift under the tree both for herself and those she has grown close to.
I love a Christmas visit to Wynthorpe, it's like having a catch up with old friends and meeting new ones. Heidi Swain writes characters you can really relate to and who you will root for. It's like a warm mince pie on a snowy day!

When Paige turns up unannounced at Wynthorpe Hall, she discovers the place she knew when she was growing up has changed beyond all recognition. She’s only planning to stay for a short time, but is quickly pulled into local life.
 One night while driving home after delivering library books and shopping to residents she stumbles across an isolated cottage and meets Albert, its elderly and rather grumpy owner. She quickly realises there’s more to Albert than meets the eye and the same can be said for the other man she can’t seem to help running into, handsome but brooding Brodie.
 All three of them have a secret and a desire to hide away from the world, but with Christmas on the horizon, is that really the best way to celebrate the season?

This book is absolutely Heidi Swain at her very festive best! From the start I was drawn to the main character of Paige and I was thrilled to find
the story set at the glorious Wynthorpe Hall in Norfolk - readers of Heidi's books will know and love this place and it's wonderful, if eccentric owners Angus and Catherine who are godparents to Paige. If you haven't read
Heidi's books before do not worry, you can read them in any order you like, they don't need to be read in date order. It's just lovely when familiar
characters pop up and I now find myself wondering if some of the new names in these books might have a story of their own one day, such as Alice from this story! I loved Albert and Brodie, and the way Paige tries to win them
round while trying to move on from a mistake in her previous job. It was a lovely festive read, so as this is to be released in October I can recommend this as fabulous stocking filler. I did wonder if I would enjoy a Christmassy book in a summer heatwave and the answer was a resounding yes! The snowy scenes and festive activities really did capture the season
perfectly and I found myself looking forward to the holiday season already! If you like Heidi swain's books already then you will absolutely love this one, it might even be my favourite! If you enjoy the Christmassy reads of Trisha Ashley or Sarah Morgan then you will also love this! Easily 5 stars for me. My first festive read of 2022 and this one is going to be extremely hard to top this year, this book is really going to leave its mark on me. A Christmas Celebration takes us back to Wynthorpe Hall and author Heidi Swain reunites us with so many familiar and much loved characters from previous books throughout the storyline but we also meet some strong loveable new characters too.
Our main character is Paige and she has returned to stay with her godparents at Wynthorpe Hall to step in last minute to help at the hall and with local deliveries and she is hoping that with time she helping others that she will begin to heal herself but she is unwilling to share with others what it is that she is struggling to come to terms with.
After getting lost one evening on her delivery round fate intervenes and Paige meets Albert who is more grumpy and weary than welcoming but can they help to heal each other?

I can not tell you the last time I read a book and had a character that made such an impact on me, Albert literally melted my heart and if I could have reached into the pages and pulled him out I would wrap him up in cotton wool! As much as I loved Paige I looked forward to each chapter that visits Albert, he pulled at my heart strings, made me laugh and coo and the realisation that sadly there really are dear old people living alone struggling with no one to reach out to just made this book even more touching.
We can’t forget Paige she really was a kind hearted soul who was very hard on herself which only made me want a happy ending for her and as we watch her higgledy piggledy romance blossom it felt like the magic at Wynthorpe Hall was at it again.
One thing we always can rely on with a Heidi Swain novel is a big helping of community spirit and this is plentiful in this book which gives it that comforting cosy feel perfect for a wintery read. There was a sprinkling of festivity too but not overly done so it can easily be read through the year with out feeling like you should have your tree popped up!
The Cherry Tree Café has always been a clear favourite of Heidi’s books and as much as I love her books none have come close to knocking it off the top spot, but sorry Jemma and Lizzie you now have to share that top spot with my beloved little old Albert as A Christmas Celebration is sitting on that top spot with you now!

Following the end of her humanitarian work, Paige goes to stay with her godparents at Wynthorpe Hall in the run up to the festive season in the hope that it will help her to move on from the mistake that helped to end her time abroad. Finding herself in the middle of a shortage of people to do all of the usual jobs, Paige throws herself in to running errands around the village.

On one of these trips, she stumbles across a run down cottage and its grumpy owner; sensing something is not quite right, Paige attempts to help Albert, even though he doesn't want her to. Added to this, she keeps running into another newcomer to the village, Brodie, and can't keep him out of her mind. However, an overheard conversation leads her to doubt his intentions within the village.

Can Paige help others to heal their pasts while also healing her own?

This was another lovely festive read from Heidi Swain, bringing the reader back to the familiarity of Wynthorpe and its residents. I enjoyed getting to know the characters, especially Albert. Perfect for getting you into the Christmas mood.

Another visit to Wynthorpe Hall, revisiting a few old friends and meeting new people. A great addition to the series Winter Wonderland sounds an amazing attraction you really want to visit. Two and a half stars.

Paige was a foreign aid worker until a stupid mistake ended her career. Now returning to the UK she is adrift, until her parents suggest she goes to Wynthorpe Hall, her uncle's home. Two couples who normally work there have both taken holidays and with the festive season approaching she could help up by making deliveries to the locals who can't drive or aren't mobile enough to get into the village and organising the Christmas celebrations at the Hall.

Paige isn't looking for romance, and certainly not with the dark, surly and rude Brodie, even if he is devastatingly handsome. But when Paige gets lost one day on her deliveries she finds an old man in desperate need of help, if only he can bring himself to accept it.

I have read Heidi Swain's novels before and I know that she tends towards the schmaltzy but this was too saccharine even for me. Grumpy old men who just want a young woman to solve their problems, tortured artists who need a muse, irritating relatives, ridiculously OTT Christmas wonderlands which in real life would take nine months to plan. All too unrealistic for me.

I just wasn't in the mood for this, maybe closer to Christmas I would be more receptive.

This was a very welcome return to Wynthorpe Hall which always has an especial warmth to it over the run up to Christmas. This time it features Angus’s goddaughter Paige who has reached the end of her humanitarian work abroad and was hoping for a quiet time to lick her wounds however her dad has a better idea as she finds herself needed at Wynthorpe to help out whilst some of the residents are away leaving the rest of them struggling to cover. It was good to catch up with the local residents but also good to see how Paige found helping out led to her finding her own project and transformed the outlook for another resident as well as inadvertently helping fellow newcomer Brodie move on with his own life too. As always this is a very uplifting festive read with wonderful characters for old and new. 9/10

Heidi Swain books never fail to please and this one is no exception. A story which will not fail to suck you in and feel you are part of the marvellous range of characters of all ages, some complex and others straightforward. If you've read previous books by the author you will be pleased to meet old friends and see how their lives have moved on. This book focuses on 3 characters in particular and the reader sees how their issues are solved and how romance develops between two of them. I received this review copy from NetGalley and as there are still months until Christmas, I'm sure I'll manage a reread before then.

It was lovely getting to visit Wynbridge again with all the festive traditions and familiar characters. I love reading books that already have that familiarity. I loved the arc and growth of the characters Paige and Albert’s friendship and then of course the relationship between Brodie and Paige. I can’t wait to get the physical copy in October when it is released, would definitely recommend!

I love the cover of this book, it is very eye catching, I picked this book up in the hottest time of the year, I thought if I thought about Christmas and snow, it would make me feel less hot and it did help slightly. The story centres around Paige who is going back to where she grew up but everything has changed and she doesn't know if she likes it and feels as though she wants to leave but then she meets Albert and even though he doesn't want her help, he really does need it. Add in a dashing young man and you might see a little romance at Christmas. We discover all three of them have kept a secret but will they be able to help each other. A lovely story that pulled at my heart strings with a wonderful bunch of characters. Pure Joy.
