Straightforward survey of the major (and some minor) fighter aircraft used by the Allies in World War II. Good illustrations and excellent drawings.
I received this book through Net Galley. My thanks to NG, the author and publisher for the book.
For a military aircraft buff like me, this book is a real treat. The art work is very clear and precise, and the photos show real time instances. One does not often see , here in the West, anyway, Russian camo schemes depicted so well. . The colors, National insignia and identifiers are vibrant,, and the photos depict the aircraft with wear on the colors, for those who like to make realistically weathered models. For a guy who loves making scale model aircraft as close to real as possible, this book is a great one to have and to gift
Very nice introduction to all allied fighter planes with accurate drawings, depiction and description of fighter groups and text about use of the fighters in the different theatres of war/war campaigns. The drawings have been already used for other publications but the fighters were not put in the actual utilisation context
