A fascinating time period that kept my interest all the way through!
The Tudors are an interesting family. I've been fascinated with them since I read my first book from Alison Weir.
I learned a lot from reading this book. There were definitely some scenes I didn't care for and yes, some things weren't all hunky dory either but all in all it was a great read!
I especially loved how War of the Roses got its name. I felt like I learned something new from this novel.
Kathryn's journey was one of courage. She did what she had to do for her family and I really admired that about her.
I think that some of this book reminds me of the Hatfield and Mccoy feud.
I think the author has done her research very well and carefully. She made this book come alive for me and I felt like I was living this journey myself. In so.e ways it was very exciting and other ways fearful.
I recommend this book for anyone who loves historical fiction.

This book contains a lot of factual material, but although the author has researched her period well, I found it disappointing as a novel, because I could not engage with any of the characters. Also, the multitude of dramatic incidents could have been structured more effectively to give the book a better pace and energy. On the whole, I was somewhat disappointed and will not be recommending that my followers read this one.

Excellent historical fiction. The War of the Roses is about to begin, the vicious brutal battle for the English throne between the houses of Lancaster and York. Young Kathryn Nevill, as many young women were, is a pawn for her father and family to advance their suit. Facing savagery and brutality Kathryn hopes for happiness in her life.
