This was a really fun and festive Christmas read spanned out in the space of 10 years. I really enjoyed following Andrew and Molly, their banter was very rom-com vibes and travelling from location to location provided the perfect escapism every reader craves.

As a fan of Catherine Walsh and a sucker for holiday romances, I couldn’t resist picking up this book— It is the perfect cozy read for the holidays, full of warmth, humour, and that undeniable slow-burn romance that keeps you hooked.
Molly and Andrew, both originally from Ireland and now living in Chicago, first meet through Molly’s roommate. But it’s on their annual flight home for the holidays that their connection really deepens. This year, however, a storm grounds their plane, throwing their carefully planned holiday trips into chaos. With Christmas fast approaching, Molly is determined to get Andrew home to his family, and the two find themselves on an unexpected detour, facing not only travel mishaps but also a growing attraction they can no longer ignore. I loved how the alternating timelines between the present and previous flights allowed the story to unfold in a way that truly captured the slow-burn development of their relationship. I loved seeing how their friendship naturally morphed into something more, and the inevitable tension between them as they navigated both external challenges and their changing feelings was perfectly executed.
I would highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre who are looking for a holiday themed pick me up with a bit of international travel and some spice. The characters themselves are lovely and I adored getting to know their family and friends. The only thing I would have loved to see is a chapter or two from Andrew’s perspective. While the book does an excellent job showing his actions and dialogue, diving deeper into his thoughts would have made the romance even more impactful.
This book is a must-read for contemporary romance fans looking for a festive escape.

Looking for a good old fashioned rom com? This is it.
Andrew and Molly are two Irish ex-pats living in Chicago. For the last 10 years, they've been catching flights together back to Ireland for the Christmas holiday. Nothing has ever happened between them, they are strictly friends until this most recent year when their flight gets cancelled and they end up traveling from Chicago to Dublin the long way, via Atlanta, Buenos Aires, London, and finally a ferry to Ireland. That's a long time together to reveal feelings.
The book flip flops between present day and each of the last 10 years that they have traveled together. What I particularly loved is the mostly accurate Chicago references (as a local native!)

This is the BEST holiday romance I have ever read! the tension, banter, rom-com feel felt so realistic and allowed me to binge read it so easily (this is one you definitely won't want to put down) I definitely will be reading tons more from Catherine Walsh!

4.5 ⭐️
Can’t believe it took me so long to get to this!!! I had read Catherine’s first release which I loved and this was just the perfect holiday romance and cutest story. Absolutely loved our mcs and the premise. Read the second book in this series as well which I also loved!!! Highly recommend
Thank you so much for the copy netgalley and Bookouture!

Catherine Walsh can do no wrong. This adorable festive romance is a friends to lovers and forced proximity trope and is super cute. I loved both characters and their families (who were so relatable).
The story follows two friends who catch a flight together back to Ireland every year, interspersed with flashbacks from previous flights they've taken, it explores the awful trek of a journey they take to get to Ireland when the planes are grounded due to a snow storm.
My only complaint about this story is I would have loved it to be dual POV.
I would recommend this book to anyone that needs a little christmas boost. It makes you feel warm, fuzzy and festive with no real third act break-up (total win!).
Spice level: 🌶🌶🌶/5

Snowed in for the holidays? So is our couple. This is is a super cute, yet predictable, holiday rom-com. This slightly over the top story line will have you laughing in stitches while dreaming of far off travels and love songs.
So grab some cocoa, find a fire, or just a cozy blanket, and dive into your next favorite holiday romance. #bookboyfriend #christmasromcom

Holiday Romance by Catherine Walsh is a charming and heartwarming tale perfect for anyone who loves a festive friends-to-lovers story. Molly and Andrew have shared a quirky holiday tradition for a decade, sitting together on the same flight home to Ireland. But when a snowstorm threatens Andrew’s cherished Christmas plans, Molly takes on the mission to get him home—no matter how many taxis, planes, and trains it takes. Walsh captures the magic of friendship and the spark of romance beautifully, making this a delightful read for the holiday season that will leave you cheering for love and adventure.

I absolutely loved this book!!! Start to finish!! It was one of the best romances I have read in a long time! The kind where you constantly smile because yeah, the couple is just that cute. I could go on and on about Molly and Andrew, but really readers you just need to pick this one up!!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by NetGalley.

“Holiday Romance” is a holiday treat! A creative take on the typical holiday rom com. Readers might find themselves wanting to also be stuck in a snow storm… Highly recommend as a book for your holiday getaways!

I absoloutely loved this from Catherine Walsh. Brilliant characters, fab story - just an all rounder. Love a Christmassy book too.
Ticks all my boxes!!

Holiday romcom… say less!! 😍😍 hilarious and wonderful. Perfect for the holidays… or anytime for that matter!!!! Gives me all the hallmark vibes

A fun holiday romcom that can be read anytime of year. The characters have depth and you will fall in love with them. A great pick me up!

You can’t go wrong with a Catherine Walsh book. This one is no exception. It’s fun and romantic but also has a lot of depth. I liked the concept of this book a lot with the two main character’s friendship developing over the years. It genuinely felt realistic how they started to have feelings for each other and not one of those insta-love storylines. This book felt like one of those feel good Christmas movies you put on to get in the festive spirit. If you’re a fan of friends to lovers you love this. I really liked the fact the author decided to jump from past to present so we as readers got more of an understanding of how the two became friends and how it blossomed. I also enjoyed that the characters had other things going on in their lives, with work and family, not just the romance element of the book. It made it a lot more interesting to read. Definitely pick this up if you’re looking for a new Rom-com to read!

I devoured this in one sitting on my plane ride home for Christmas break and loved it! It was a mix of People We Meet on Vacation meets CLo vibes and was the perfect plane read! I can’t wait to read Snowed In! You can find this one on KU!

Meh. I couldn’t get past the main characters and their interactions from the beginning. I wasn’t a fan of them and I think that ruined the book for me.

My favorite holiday read this year, I LOVED it! Walsh always writes such relatable characters, perfection!

I do love a holiday romance, and this was such a cute concept, I really enjoyed it! Romance with holiday magic, yes please!

Easy reading romance between friend. Cute and uplifting with holiday magic. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher.
