Struggling with Grief, Finding Peace : One Man’s Journey through the Valley of Sorrow was such an inspiration for me to read. I lost my husband 18 months ago and have struggled so. The author's words really spoke to me and am Blessed to have the opportunity to read this book. Five stars.

Requesting this book was much more a personal choice and because the topic of grief is something that plays heavily on my mind at times. So again, I wouldn’t be recommending this for my library as the audience isn’t right. But to anyone who is struggling with grief? Absolutely! It’s the kind of book that I can see myself revisiting at a later date and one that already has lots of highlights within it. It was easy to understand and follow and gave me lots to think about.

This book follows a man's journey through the loss of his wife. What it was like prior, during, and after.

Albritton is rooted in religion which helps him through the agony of his wife's death. Prior to her death she is diagnosed with dementia. She then breaks a hip. Finally she is diagnosed with covid so there is a series of adjusting to the narrowing of her life.

Albritton's journey is one that others can learn from - and see themselves in.
