I requested this book hoping it would be a quirky sci fi novel that bordered on comedy. It is the story of a woman on another planet (the population there has managed to breed creativity out of humans) who comes to Earth to meet original humans. She hopes to discover the secret to creativity. She is devastatingly beautiful which is both an asset in getting people to talk to her, but also a bit of a distraction. When I started the book, I found the writing to be distractedly stilted, but persevered in the hopes of quirkiness and hi-jinks. I found neither in any noticeable amount. This book is listed as a romance, and the author doesn't delve into specifics of sex. Much is alluded to, but it is not graphic.
